Just won on turn 2 with hunter in brawl.

Turn 1 Call of the Wild + Animal Companion (huffer, of course) + Kill Comand + On The Hunt
5 + 5 + 5 + 1 = 16 damage that turn with a 5/2, 2/4, 5/4, 5/2, 2/1, 2/1 on board.

Can confirm. He has done this with me numerous times and im ashamed to say that it was quite effective at causing me to think he was considerably less terrible.

Im immune to such tactics now but it took a lot longer than it should have

Priest - 1 try
Warrior - 100~ tries
Druid - 2 tries
Mage - 5~ resets, 1 actual try

I would have beat druid on my first try if i knew what the cheat card did.

I beat mage on my first counterspell attempt which took about 5 reset.




4 down, 5 to go.

I know the Hunter cheat card so that should be easy enough, but i still don't know what rogue, warlock, paladin or shaman have in store.

With mage, not sure if I was just weirdly lucky or not, but he wasn't casting any spells while Frostmorne was in play. Gave me plenty of time to set up the combo.

Yeah if you can find a way to hold him at a single 2/6 for awhile you can get a lot done.

I still can't beat him with warrior though. Currently trying alarmobot shenanigans. I still need good luck to win though so it hasn't happened yet.

I tried priest first against lich king and i won on my first attempt.

So i switched to warrior next. Im.about 10 attempts in with not much to show for it.

There is apparently an exploit with kel'thuzad that works pretty well, but i dusted him after he rotated out of standard and im not dropping 1600 dust for the adventure.

Any advice?

Im thinking maybe i should try bolster with cheap taunts and just reload the fight until i get a strong opening hand?

Or somehow find another safe way to stall him with one 2/6 remaining which is what the KT method does.

Im really not sure though. I felt so confident after 1shotting him with priest that I was NOT PREPARED for 100 armor for 1 mana.

Alternate Universe Scenario #2:

Person A - "Vegeta's fireball + Y looks really OP"

Person B - "what? Vegeta doesnt use 'fireballs' he uses 'ki blasts' !!"

Person A - "No 'fireball' indicates that the input is a quarter circle forward. The move i was referring to wasn't even a ki blast, it was the one where he dashes forward and grabs you"

Person B - "oh, okay. Now i know that 'fireball + button' can indicate a quarter circle forward."


There is nothing wrong with learning terminology.

No he very much is not.


The "fireball" notation indicates a quarter circle forward. It doesnt refer to it being a blast of energy. It ONLY indicates the directional input.

You can use "fireball forward" to do an attack that does not fire energy at all.


So bitching at people for not changing established terminology is not the same as being right.

Jeeze, the value.

You are so light on 2drops with no 1drops though. As long as you make it through the early game you should be fine, but the potential to draw dead into an insurmountable disadvantage is pretty significant.

Red I've known you and we've at least intermittently been gaming together for over a decade now. I've always had respect for your skill in the games that we play. (That is, when you aren't jumping off waterfalls for no reason....) But even more importantly through knowing you've I found out that you were a really good guy with an often similar sense of humor to my own. I've been very lucky to have enjoyed the hundreds if not thousand+ games we've played together and I look forward to many more.

Also I just drafted what seems like it will be a pretty fun arena run. I went mage because I'm scummy that way. Double legendary deck with a medium amount of elemental synergy. All I needed was a blaze caller and that would have put this deck over the top. Hoping for 8+ wins.

It's basically just Deadly Shot on a 4/8 body.

It's slightly above Primordial Drake which is what a 9 drop should be: Above an 8 drop

Consider also that when you play it you only have 1 mana leftover, which can't often be used.

At least when you played Primordial Drake you can squeeze in a HP if nothing else.
