NES Zeldas are far from my favorites, but they are still good.

FFXIII-2 makes the bracket and FFXIII doesn't?
DKCR and DKC2 but no DKC1? Mortal Kombat got something in for both 2004 and 2009 and it had its first relevant game in over a decade this year so it should have gotten something in this one. Auron got a KHII appearance in 2006 and looked pretty close to Ganondorf that year.
Ganondorf was benefiting from TP hype in 2005 and 2006. He may be around that strength again now or even stronger, but if he is, I doubt the boost will stick, like his TP hype boost didn't seem to stick. Once the Skyward Sword buzz wears off he'll probably be stronger than he was before SS but not by a lot. Hold the match within the next few months and I say Ganondorf has a great shot at all of these guys. Hold the match two years from now and...Ganondorf might still win if Square drops a good amount, but barring that I say he probably loses to all of them except maybe Tifa. Also: 2007 Auron came close to Ryu with Cloud also in the poll. 2008 Auron beat Kratos with Sephiroth also in the poll. (Something Tifa failed to do.) 2008 Ganondorf lost to Gordon Freeman with Samus also in the poll. -- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

LoL doesn't seem like the kind of game the masses on gamefaqs are going to care about. It's not hated like WoW or Call of Duty, but is it going to do much better at picking up votes outside of its fanbase?
The only Game of the Decade four-pack it might have a chance in is the Persona 4 one, and it probably does lose that. Maybe Call of Duty hate has increased enough that it could beat CoD4, but if that's the case I think it still loses to Perfect Dark. And a no-divisions-by-era game contest would have a stronger field than GotD. That game wins one match if it's lucky. It would still do better than No Mercy, though! -- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

Lugia is THE mascot of GSC, the others like Ho-oh or starters are usually behind in online polls. Because of Lugia being on the cover and being more popular than Ho-Oh, I feel that the highest amount of GSC's power would be transferred to it over any other Pokemon from 2nd gen.
This is probably all true and Pokemon GSC didn't do that badly all things considered. Lugia would likely be a good choice for a guru nom. But he's not beating Dante. -- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |
