Bub and Bob and General RAAM didn't beat most of their opponents by very much in the previous contests. 4chan probably kicks into gear again if it gets close.

I doubt the characters who had that initial 4chan support and have lost their leads despite that are going to get them back, though. Which probably leaves just those two matches and Wakka/Lucca as still in contention. Maybe Moogle can pull a comeback if the night votes are kind to him, he doesn't seem to be dying off as quickly as the others. And I guess we should never count Frog out. >_>

Even if you do think highly of Link's Awakening's contest strength...it's pretty hard to look at FFVI doing worse on LttP in 2009 than in 2004 despite LA and Super Metroid also being in the 2009 poll and not conclude that very bad things have happened to FFVI since then.

So if you think FFVI is so strong, why wasn't Link's Awakening in your top 30? It got into the mid-40s on FFVI twice.

Gameplay had a lot of little things that annoyed me and the plot seemed too sparse or disconnected until the second half or so of Disc 2. Generally a good game, though.

Only played the GBC version of this so I'll be rating based on that.

There's too much grinding, you're expected to find some things in the middle of nowhere without adequate hints (Final Key!), and the class/personality customization isn't as accessible or explained as much it should be. I really love this game though. Got all the way to Divinegon on a solo-Hero game once.

Also the monster animations were pretty amazing for a GBC game and put most of the SNES RPG library to shame.
