Hamas is all over Gaza. IDF's PR is just self-sabotaging. No real point in designating specific places as Hamas-land or Hamas-free. They're terrorists, they'll just set up shop wherever they want. And while they definitely have a tunnel network and have admitted so themselves, I'm skeptical Israel has any idea where it all is and how deep it is.

I'd say the ideal solution is a humanitarian release of women and children to Sinai for temporary refugee camps so the IDF can actually wipe out Hamas. But then one of Netanyahu's cabinet members mentions permanently moving them there, and that whole option just whooshes out of fucking existence.
I hope this is the end of Netanyahu's career, it's incredible how poorly he's fucked everything up, including the settling of the West Bank that led to them being militarily focused there instead of Gaza and vulnerable to the invasion in the first place. He basically combines the strategic capabilities and morality of Trump with the public messaging of Democrats (neither of those is a compliment, if you couldn't tell).

The first video specifically showed one of the tunnels and how thoroughly set up it was. It also said a US intelligence official said Hamas has a "command node" under the hospital.

CNN said it was their own independent report. The reporter said they were "under fire" while advancing towards the hospital (how strange), his own observations.

But I know, y'all don't trust anything critical of Hamas no matter what source we cite. Next we'll get live bodycam/robocam of the tunnels leading down from the hospital and the goal posts will shift from, "the IDF are lying" to "it's still a hospital, no matter how much it's been turned into a bunker".

Glad I switched to doing it myself. A frozen turkey costs like $6 and other than dealing w/ the innards (the neck and the rest is in bags....wish it wasn't "included"), it's the same as re-heating the pre-cooked turkeys except takes 2x as long in the oven.
Only thing you miss out on is the niche sides like cranberry jelly or such. For some reason, the only ones sold individually tend to be mashed potatoes and gravy. At least where I am. Need the dinner order to get the other sides. But you can make gravy from a powder packet and stuffing from a box in like 5 minutes each, and canned "cranberry loaf" (as I call it) is good enough....

10 years. Until this year I lived in an apartment and it had been outside.
"Fortunately" I got a house w/ a garage right as the Kia Boys thing took off, so it worked out in that regard. But now ironically that I can keep the car sheltered, I have to move it back outside again.

Yes, same cars. I got the software update, but have read that doesn't actually fix the problem, either. And even if it did, thieves would still smash my window and tear up my ignition trying to steal it which would still cost me thousands to fix, I'm sure.
Going to try and get a steering wheel lock from the sheriff's office, hopefully to visually dissuade thieves, if nothing else...

Got a recall notice today for a fire risk. The ABS can leak brake fluid and cause an electrical short over time, leading to an engine fire.
My notice says they're preparing a recall to replace the fuse (a bandaid solution to prevent fires, but not the root cause issue of brake fluid leaking!), and then the real kicker...

Until the recall is implemented, I should park my car outside and away from structures!

This would be feasible, except...it's a fucking Hyundai! Half the reason I keep it inside a garage is so no one knows it's there and it doesn't get FUCKING STOLEN!

So now I have to choose between risking my car being stolen or risking my house burning down.

I think we've been on a recession for most of the past several decades.
It gets dressed up as recovery w/ some trickery like low interest rates and funding lifestyles that used to be attainable but now only can be via debt (often credit card debt) periodically, but the fundamental rot -- Reaganomics -- never is addressed and if anything amplified, so the lipstick on the pig occasionally wears off and we call that a "recession" until more is applied to cover up reality.

That's b/c I define economic health based on how the middle class, the median income, and the poor are faring. Not the stock market, GDP, number of billionaires, or any other nonsense metric.

It's actually hard to say.
On one hand, his core supporters would want him to. And Saudi Arabia hates Iran and he's buddies w/ MBS.

As I've said repeatedly.... hopefully it finally reaches a point where it becomes clear to Russian soldiers that they have a better chance at survival by turning against their officers or surrendering than following orders.
That occurring en masse is the only way this ends.

Since Obama, a ton of MAGA types have moved to FL, making it more red (good news is, that in turn made several other states slightly more blue/purple), they've "swamped it", if you will.
Also, I think Obama normalizing relations w/ Cuba permanently shifted the Cuban-Americans in south FL to the Republican side. Fear of their short-sighted single-issue wrath was the main reason we never did it before, and it appears those fears were valid. That and constant GOP narratives of all Dems being "socialists" (even Biden) gradually working on them. They hate Castro, and any slight whiff of communism/socialism drives them right into the other party's arms.
I really can't put enough into words my disdain for them, and seeing all the consequences of their political choices coming back to bite them in the ass (climate change, surging insurance costs, etc...) brings me joy.
