Took over adecade, but eventually decided to play to completion and started a new game on my PS3. It held up just fine, IMO. Additions were fun, graphics were amazing for the time (and hold up way better than FF7...), plot is underrated with a great plot twist scene and gets credit for doing stuff other stories seldom do (like definitively resolving the "will they / won't they?" romance pretty early on and Dart having a rather mature moment Really solid game. ParanoidObsessive posted... I feel like it probably didn't help that everyone kept praising it as being so awesome and a "Final Fantasy killer", when I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as Final Fantasy...It was FAR better than FF7. FF6 was probably still superior to it, though. It's funny, b/c I actually played FF6 after FF7 and I couldn't get over the entire time, "this is so much better than the sequel everyone went gaga over!" (basically just like ALttP and OoT) and the real Final Fantasy killer for me at that point was Suikoden (which was shamefully overlooked in spite of being fantastic).Suikoden is my favorite series of all time, and indeed it's a shame it didn't get much recognition. Konami is releasing a HD remake of 1 and 2 next year, btw. So we have that and Eiyuden to look forward to! |

Also apparently if you go in at any point in the month, it's treated as if you had the bonds from the 1st of the month. Which is why I'm trying to decide like right the fuck now, before Sept. is over. Keeping in mind it'd take 1-2 days to process... Has anyone ever bought bonds from Treasury Direct? How do you make sure they're secure and can't just get stolen by someone? Last time I had bonds, they were paper ones from when I was a kid as a sort of "college fund" from relatives... |

And now people are being literally dragged from the streets and sent off to die. You want to try to minimize square footage devoted to hallways b/c it's kind of wasted space, but still have a logical layout. This layout screams to me "minimize hallway space!" taken to the extreme. No thanks, the whole house is like a weird maze. You know, a lot of the issues would be fixed if it just had an opening in the wall of the living room to the existing hallway, so you don't have to walk around the entire fucking house counter-clockwise from the front door to get anywhere. The "bedroom" w/ no windows/escape is straight up illegal to call a bedroom, lol |

The open world is disappointing, but I also am not a huge fan of open world games anyway, so it at least not being too big was a plus for me...
