Then spends the rest of his life tweeting about how he's a "martyr" that's been unfairly targeted by the deep state, and basically doing Putin's bidding to try and sow discontent in the U.S. Because apparently there's nothing we could do to stop it, even if he spent two months moving the assets and being blatant as hell that was his plan.

That is not "basically" what it is, but thank you for providing us with Chinese propaganda. In fact, it some ways it encourages behaving like an ass hat, since if you can provoke someone into doing something and film it (example: drive 10 mph on a 40 mph road but speed up when they try to legally pass until they pass in the breakdown lane and catch it on your dash cam), you can earn social credit for snitching on that person.

OniRonin posted... Special features: View > Scientific, and View > Programmer give some wacky operations with fantastical names such as "Lsh", "Qword", and "tanh". This is good for if maybe your child wants to pretend to do calculations, but I recommend the normal view for real-life number crunching using actual mathematics operations. Yes, because never once in "real-life number crunching" have I ever needed to do X^3 (like...for cubic volume), use parenthesis to maintain order of operation, utilize the value of pi (pretty much anything involving a circle), or use Euler's number or the log function (for...say...compounded interest on a loan). *Massive fucking eye roll*

I knew this was the end result of the trans bathroom debates. Conservatives only ever whined about the possibility of trans people entering the women's bathroom, and liberals never give a shit about men. Pretty much inevitable that the "compromise" would end up being, "cis women get their own restroom; anyone else...eh fuck it, just use the men's."

I haven't seen videos of such instances, but if it's simply preemptively moving in front of the suspect's car before s/he has a chance to try and flee in order to discourage it? Sure, that's fine I guess. But when you describe it as "jumping" in front of a fleeing suspect's car, it conjures mental images of a car already accelerating to try and speed off, which makes it seem difficult for the suspect to actually react in time to stop. That would just be utterly reckless and stupid on the part of the cop, and would seem to me that it's just trying to create an excuse to open fire. Running from the cops is dumb and won't work out for most people, but I don't think it deserves an extrajudicial death sentence. If the cop's just trying to create such a scenario, then that's fucked up.

Actually, it really sucks that everyone else's insurance is going to go up to pay for this. Also...wasn't this like half a year ago?

The two I went to were in concert/theater halls, and the audience was respectful and quiet during performances, applauding and such at the end of each song. i guess it depends on what kind of music it is. Had a chance to see Within Temptation one time, but it was a Wednesday night 2 hours away, and in some sort of mosh pit standing room only type venue w/ some death metal band as the lead-in, and I just said, "nope...not for me." It's a shame, I really do like WT's music. But I could tell I'd have a horrible time at such a concert.

I've been fortunate to have been able to attend concerts by Loreena McKennitt and Sarah Brightman thus far. To me, they're major musical artists and they've sold plenty of albums, but probably 90% of the people in the U.S. have never heard of them.

It's when snow occurs early in the season, and when it looks fine, that accidents are probably most common. People aren't in that winter mindset yet, and the road looks clear. From the youtube comments, this was on a bridge, so probably a case where the bridge iced up while the road on either side of it was fine. Bridges freeze over at higher temps than normal sections of road, so sometimes people don't expect it.

If it doesn't look for sure clear, do each request by the day and say you're sick (if it's specifically vacation time and not sick time, it shouldn't fucking matter what you choose to use it for, it's literally just time off). If they figure out what you're doing, tell them why you're doing it. They made this mess. By fucking over the people who tried to be considerate and give forewarning about their plans.

He's asking the chance of rolling one 6 in N rolls, which very much is not 1/6 unless N=1. The Gambler's Fallacy is a matter of thinking that the next roll is more likely to be 6 because the last five rolls haven't been, not a matter of thinking that you're more likely to see at least one 6 in 100 rolls than in 1 roll. Sorry to be pedantic, but he's asking for the probability of at least one 6 in N rolls. Figuring out the probability of exactly one 6 (no more, no less) is a different question w/ a different answer, IIRC involving a Combination function/equation. The 1 - (5/6)^n equation includes the probability of every result that has one or more 6's in the resulting rolls (one 6, two 6's, three 6's, etc...)

So in case of rolling 6 dice, your chance of getting no 6's is 5/6 and you roll that 6 times (so (5/6)^6 then you subtract that from the total (6/6 or 1). So to get the actual answer you solve this equation 1-(5/6)^6 which I'm not going to do. Your explanation seems poorly worded, but you have the correct equation in the end. And I already calculated it anyway :p As a general rule in probability: It's usually easier to find the probability of something by finding the probability of not getting that result and then subtracting that number from 1.

Why do they always force such horrible changes on people? Not just Windows OS, it's even more annoying with all of the websites that adopt "minimalist design" or "mobile friendly" layouts, with no option to go back to a version that doesn't suck for those of us on laptops/desktops. (And yes, I have Classic Shell. it helps, but not totally. Also since a Win10 update several months ago, it says it needs to be updated but fails to anytime I accept, so....not sure if that's gonna be an issue eventually)
