As for that story, it's obviously rape from their perspective, but just going by your description, all the MC did was implant a false idea of what someone wouldn't enjoy. It was still entirely their decision to actually do it. Nobody actually forced the girls to do anything to him; it was actually the other way around.

If anything I see it as similar to entrapment, where you take advantage of someone's bad nature to set them up.

Any of you VN guys ever play Yotsunoha? I watched the two episode OVA and I liked it; it got me interested in playing the game.

Apparently it was banned on Steam, which is weird because it was the All Ages version. Only reason I can think of is that the main girl is loli-ish.

Conventions are still up in the air right now, but for the record they're very welcoming of all types and ages. Unless you're being overly obnoxious or something, they're basically a judgment-free zone. I'm 35 now and I've been going to and actually working at several events every year.

Actually, I've found working at the events to be a fun way to meet new people. It's only for a weekend, but you do wind up seeing a lot of the same faces at multiple events, and most people are pretty friendly. There's actually one organization in my area that does a lot of charity and community events in addition to conventions, and I'm trying to get more involved with them.

Mighty no. 9 was a shitshow from beginning to end. The creator asked for money for the project more than once, took forever to deliver, and even created another Kickstarter for a whole different game while this one was still in development. The final product was subpar at best, didn't release at all on some of the platforms promised (including the one I purchased a copy for), and was an absolutely unplayable mess at launch on some platforms. I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting.
