Yes, and at the same time groups of people want to be represented in media. Which sometimes might be unrealistic, but not when it comes non-hetero sexual sexualities, which are probably still under-represented compared to reality.

And before anyone calls me a bigot, I don't have an issue with minority characters in general, just the token characters that are only gay, or only black or only a woman etc. If you can't be a fully fleshed out character you shouldn't exist (outside parody and satire)

Gay people literally exist. Thats all that should be required for someone to be gay in a television show or movie. You might as well be complaining that someone having a certain eye color has to make sense to be in a movie or tv show.

arrowverse doesn't. I think there are about half as many gay/bi/lesbian characters as there are straight.

and somehow sarah kept finding women in almost every time period she went to that was lesbian/bi.

also, somehow dreamer has a biological granddaughter, even though she was born a man, and had a sex change when she was young.... if they hadn't changed her original character it would make sense

Right? Like every single young adult book/movie that's supposed to be adventure-y just haaaaas to have a love triangle dominating the plot

And there's almost always relationship drama or at least love interest in everything

Hetero sexuality is pushed everywhere

She was added in first and the love triangle was added later. She was actually promised when she got the role that she wouldn't be a love interest for any characters, until it was mandated by higher ups.

And dont make homosexuality and overarching theme in the story.

For All Mankind, a show where the Soviet Union landed on the moon first.

This made the space race keep going, and when the Soviet Union put a woman on the moon, the United States made a class of potential female astronauts so they too could have woman in space.

Coincidentally, one of those woman is gay. Who passes the class and becomes an astronaut. Who then becomes a mission commander.

If you watch the series, you can just tell that theyre setting up for her to get revealed to be the first gay astronout, and its gonna spark a homosexual rights movement.

Like wtf, I want to watch stuff about space and politics behind it, not this gay agenda bs.
