Details on what exactly this project is are sparse.

All they've said is this is a "new world-building story. A different aspect of Hololive presented to you by Hololive"

Could be an anime, game, a series of music videos; we still don't know yet.

What we do know is that they're looking any and all types of content creators to apply on their website, and that there would be a original Twitter manga set in this alternate world.

I've watched 1 episode of lucky star and like 4-5 of K-On. Didn't really love either one. I feel like I need a theme other than japanese highschool to enjoy CGDCT. Although I loved yuru yuri and thats basically the same thing +mild yuri themes.

I think 4-5 is where I stopped on K-On myself. That series just wasn't grabbing me. I think a lot of it came down to not liking any of the characters and then the humor being kinda eh, which made the bland story harder to watch. (And to bring the discussion full-circle, I almost stopped Nozaki early on because the lead characters just weren't doing it for me. However, in that case I became more invested in the supporting cast which kept me going and eventually got me care to care about the story. That and the premise for the series was a lot more interesting.)

I quit watching nozaki-kun after 1 episode. Might give it a longer try sometime in the future.

Also WOOHOO Pyra/Mythra is the next DLC character in smash. Quite happy they got in. Now if the next two DLC can be velvet from tales and the hunter from monster hunter I'll be completely satisfied.

Realistically they'd probably put in someone from arise for cross promotion since that's supposed to come out some time this year.

I just feel like velvet will play the most enjoyably even though berseria isn't my favorite tales game. Also gets around the anime swordsman complaint.

Yeah I am really excited about her even though I have never played XBC. I watched several pro players reaction videos.

Though I would much rather have a monster from Monster Hunter then the actual hunter. I suppose he could have a very wide arsenal but theres something exciting as playing as a monster and Smash is severely lacking in Heavies anyway.

All the pro player reactions to pyra showed me that not enough people have played xenoblade 2 (or 1).

Gameplay wise though I'm happy to have what looks like a fairly fast swordfighter. They showed Mythra at least has a down tilt to up air combo and a throw combo and aerial combos finishing with that special move.

It'd be pretty weird if they let us play as a monster since rathalos is already in the game and way too big to be a playable character. Even if they picked like a shrunken down diablos or something it'd look really weird next to assist trophy or boss rathalos. They'd also probably be pretty miserable to play as because MH monsters are intentionally much wider than they are tall so you'd have this massive hurtbox that'd get you hit by everything (aka, mewtwos problem).

Kind of? The story isn't any better than before but the action and production values are pretty good. If you didn't like SAO before, I doubt this will change your mind, and if you did like it before you probably will like this. It touches on some interesting sci-fi ideas with artificial human consciousness and ethics regarding it but they don't really say anything very profound about it. The villains still have the SAO problem of just being murderous rapey bastards with no motivation other than being disgusting and evil.

Apparently it was banned on Steam, which is weird because it was the All Ages version. Only reason I can think of is that the main girl is loli-ish.

If I get used to the format, maybe I'll give some other series another try.

Valve doesn't ban games like that anymore. They only do it if the devs broke some kind of rule like manipulating ratings.

curse of kudan was rejected in october despite not having any sexual content, so no, it's still very much happening

same devs that released the expression amrilato, which was taken down on steam before a huge outcry made them put it back up, because it too had no sexual content. so if anything, it's worse now

Caught up on horimiya and it's still quite nice.

In vtuber land amatsuka uto finally came back which I'm pretty happy about. She stopped streaming for a month cause she was getting harassed by some artist and vtuber company tried to exploit her and a lot of people were causing her problems but I'm happy to see she sorted it out and is back finally. She had been trying really hard to learn english before hand for her overseas fans and she has made quite a lot of progress.

I think she is one of the biggest independent vtubers sub count wise. A bit over 350k. Actually I'm kind of curious who the most subbed to independents are. The highest I know of is uto with 364k (exact same as pikamee but she is with VOMS). Then artemis of the blue at 207k and I guess Kana (used to be with tsunderia but recently independant) at like 93k but I'm sure theres plenty in the 200K region.

As far as I'm aware the only two non hololive over 1M are still nyanners and of course kizuna ai. I think nyanners is especially impressive since she streams on twitch and not youtube the vast majority of the time.

Steam seems almost random in what it chooses to ban when it comes to anime-style games. I sense there are content moderators who are fans ... and there are content moderators who think anything that looks remotely Japanese comes straight from the Devil's ass crack.

That being said, I have not picked up a new VN since Ages mentioned Baldr Sky, which I still have on my wish list.

I got GX at launch! Glad I did, too, since that one has since become very hard to find. Still the best version of the battle system (IMO), but the story is nowhere close to the first two games.

And we do not talk about Grandia III.

Basically the mangaka for Love is War (which I still highly recommend EVERYONE to read), and Oshi no Ko got invited to an Apex Legends tournament, along with vtuber Nishizono Chigusa from Nijisanji.

It's actually amazing and funny how addicted to Apex Aka is, while also being incredibly talented and crazy fast at being a mangaka.

In a past interview he said that he manages to finish the draft for Love is War in just 5 hours while also playing Apex in between. Most mangaka take a whole day.

Another statement he made mentioned that he manages to finish the whole chapter in just 3 days. That's 18 pages in just 3 days where most mangaka take a whole week. AND HE DOES IT JUST TO MAXIMIZE HIS APEX PLAYING TIME.

Romance genre is not supposed to be exciting and have lots of action / battles, especially if they are not shonen.
That is like asking why Yesterday wo Utatte is boring.
Being boring does not detract from the fact that they are good.
