Seconding this. Specifically, Ubiquiti UniFi. It falls between typical consumer-grade equipment and enterprise, both in terms of price and features. Last I checked a few years ago, it was the cheapest way to deploy a centralized WLAN in my home.

Comparing the majors I have experience with:

Computer Science was by far the hardest, if we're talking about just completing the major and graduating. There are many reasons why, but the most obvious is that it simply takes way more hours of work to complete a lab than it takes to write a paper. Then again, even the C students had no trouble finding a job related to their field.

Physics classes are a little more siloed. You basically need to collect a minor in Mathematics along the way (even more so than Computer Science), but a bad semester in Thermal Physics isn't going to mess you up in Electrodynamics. However, if you want to go on to do anything in Physics after graduation, you have to be at the very top of your class. This is not the case with careers related to Computer Science or Business.

Business Administration was a highly-impacted major at my school, and the subject material was brain-dead easy. As a result, the grading curve was actually incredibly brutal. I had one lower division weed-out class where missing 3 points total (across the entire semester, with a huge number of multiple choice questions on exams and a few papers) would drop you from an A to a B. But once you got past the lower-division filter, it was smooth sailing.

When enough people refuse to accept the solution, I guess it's no longer technically a solution. Doesn't matter how brilliant or miraculous the vaccine is... we've reached a critical mass of obstinacy. Sometimes it feels like all you can do is protect your family the best you can, and let nature work things out between the virus and the death cult. I hate how sociopathic that sounds but when every attempt to help them only polarizes them more, I don't know what else we can do.

I disliked TLJ, but I understand why many people enjoyed it. I enjoyed Resurrections, but I recognize the flaws that I'm looking past. Both movies deconstruct the films which came before them. The difference for me is that TLJ discarded TFA, while Resurrections pokes fun at the Matrix trilogy but ultimately says "all of it mattered."

It's really too bad about where their money goes. If not for that, it's a model fast food business-- good product, good customer service, entry-level jobs for teenagers (like fast-food is supposed to be)... instead of understaffing, they've got a swarm of employees prowling the drive-thru; oftentimes they'll bring you your food before you even get to the window.

Gotta balance out all of the good with some evil on the back end, I guess.

I found it enjoyable enough to replay a few times. I have a lot more love for S2, S3&K and Mania, but CD is good.

What drops it down the rankings for me is that the level design is at odds with itself (both in the normal and special stages). The visuals / artwork aren't cohesive either. But there's still plenty to like about the game.

Donkey Kong 64 was a victim of bad timing (tail end of a generation) and absorbed criticism that was more the fault of the entire genre it represented (at a time when collectathons were at peak saturation).

It's not a masterpiece... it's just afforded nowhere near the same level of respect that other, very similar games are given.

Doug Bowser's previous position was eliminated. Maybe that's where the confusion is?

Nintendo closed its California office today, displacing roughly 100 employees, sources tell Kotaku.

The Redwood City location was one of three main offices for Nintendo of America, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Sources tell Kotaku the closure included the resignation of the SVP of Sales and Marketing, Nick Chavez, who announced earlier on Friday via LinkedIn that he would be joining Kentucky Fried Chicken to help them continue to grow the Yum! Brands.

The SVP position was previously held by Doug Bowser, who was promoted to president of Nintendo of America after Reggie Fils-Aime stepped down in 2019.

I've got 6 hours on the in-game timer so far, but around 2 and half of that was spent on Earth Born (game within the game). Every screen and character animation oozes personality. The sprite work is the best I've ever seen.

The combat mechanics are simple (so far) and the introductory chapter moves at a pace similar to Twilight Princess... which I enjoyed, but a lot of people didn't / won't.

I have a long way to go in the game, but I've listened to the entirety of the soundtrack and it's my favorite this year.

It could have been done better, but it had to be done. And the human tragedy was always going to be bad, even if both presidents had managed to commit no mistakes along the way.

MQ is designed in the same style as the original LoZ second quest-- it's made to be unfair, to force you to back out of dungeons and come back prepared, as if you're playing against a malicious dungeon master. It's definitely not for everyone, although I enjoyed it.

Y'know, looking at how hardcore Disney is going in order to integrate Star Wars experiences into the theme parks, I get the feeling that an actual mature extraction of the "good guys vs bad guys" simplicity of the story would ultimately steer away from the commoditization of stormtrooper helmets, lightsabers, starfighters, and thus would be less marketable.

Feeds into the concept of forever war being good for business, but in a fantasy aspect instead of the reality aspect of having little boys buy plastic toy soldiers.

Damn, that's meta.

The fact that you can actually sense the animosity between Abrams and Johnson in the openings of the second and third films is really indicative of the problems those films had.

It's almost a nostalgic feeling for me, the way it plays out like two kids fighting over their Star Wars action figures. It's as if Johnson came in and smashed Abrams favorite toys, then Abrams retaliated... except they're playing with billions of dollars.

I'm so deep in as a fan that I enjoy all of the movies in a way that isn't rational, but even I can admit what a big fucking mess the sequel trilogy is in terms of planning.
