There's a cartoon where Bugs is being hunted by like a really stupid racist caricature of a black man, with the racist lips and everything. It is literally an Elmer Fudd cartoon where the hunter is 10x as incompetent as Fudd, completely unfunny and charmless due to a slow-witted drawl, and only exists to be a truly horrific and disgusting caricature of another race rather than to be entertaining in any other way.

It could have been a subpar Elmer Fudd cartoon, but they used the whole thing to depict a slow-witted, drawling racist caricature of a black man with large white lips. It's fucking mortifying.

Just played 4 games as Grohk and 1 game as Kintessa. I won 2 games with the G-Man and we managed to clutch the match I played as Kintessa.

I'm drunk off my ass, and I managed to fluke a TDM as Grohk. Lost the next two siege matches - especially since you can't seem to spawn his totems on the payload any more. But then we won a King of the Hill.

The Kintessa match was a fluke, someone else picked a support character so I grabbed a... flanking character? And we lost the first round, then we saved the second round, then we won the third round. I'm a Grohk main, but I really started to dig Kintessa's snipe-charging ability and I wrecked their Ruckus like 6 times. By some miracle we managed to clutch the fourth and final round.

I really like Paladins. It's a jank machine, but I've had a lot of fun without spending a dime on it. Can't wait to unlock another 4 hero's before uninstalling it to make room for more Switch games.

Bro, there's a Daffy Duck cartoon where he fights a Nazi eagle until he gets shut into a cannon. The Nazi eagle lights the cannon, and it shoots Daffy as a "human cannonball" wielding two American flags all the way to Berlin, and he bashes Hitler in the head with a mallet.

A lot of the Looney Tunes propaganda is regrettable, and a bunch of it from before and during WWII is like super racist and is probably better off being forgotten. But this cartoon where Daffy makes Hitler cry like a little bitch? Pure fucking gold.

Handwaving is not an explanation. They're legitimately stupid things. Could they pass physical items in TLJ or is that another thing this movie pulled out of its ass/got completely wrong?

You can see in their second force bond scene that when the connection is interrupted, Kylo has rain on his glove. The fact that he has rain from Luke Skywalker's hidden island on his glove from this force connection, if nothing else, sets up that shit can be transferred physically through this connection.

I absolutely think that the force connection shit is super forced and stupid, but at the bare fucking minimum, I think having Kylo Ren get some rain on his glove from TLJ is a set up to transferring shit through the force. It's bad, but it's not 100% uncharacteristic considering TLJ.

Telltale Games booted its employees out of the office with a 30 minute evacuation order on the day of their closure, and employees were not paid for their work and were not paid severance pay. They were not informed of Telltale's closure until they day they were booted out of the offices. They should have been given 2 weeks notice, and they all deserved some form of severance pay.

Until I know that Telltale Games paid their employees the severance pay that they were owed, at the very least, I can't support them. I loved their Walking Dead and Batman games, but if the talent who made those games haven't been compensated from when they were shitcanned and booted onto the street, that goodwill means nothing. Take care of the people you fucked in the ass, or go bankrupt again you corrupt pussies.

Like, I've spent the last 8 years abstaining from driving out of anxiety. I'm not the most alert, I get distracted easily and I don't want to die a painful, horrible death - nor do I want to be a danger to my passengers or any other drivers on the road.

If driving an auto will get me from point A to point B without hurting, killing or maiming anyone - if it makes the act of driving that much more accessible, that I can now provide travel for myself and people around me, with a layer of difficulty removed - then that's a good thing, and y'all stick shift purists can jam your gear stick up to the prostate and rotate.

The third paragraph seems real to me, but I understand if it feels like it's going off the rails. Ultimately, that side of things are a lot more biased towards my feelings on things in the here and now, whereas I saw online atheism through a more neutral view as a teenager.

Yeah, ultimately that brand of atheism is "religion isn't real and you're a fucking moron if you believe otherwise, and as such I don't owe you any of my time - by the virtue of my beliefs, I am superior to you". It was, like many stupid fucking internet cults, a bunch of short-sighted, self-important assholes who felt small in their own lives, who used their beliefs to put themselves on top and give themselves a power boost - which they would turn around and abuse to try and make other people feel small.

Atheism was touted as anti-religion, but it used the same tenets of religion to shame and belittle others while putting practitioners at the top of the food chain. Those involved with online atheism in the 2000's were no better than the fundie douchebags they claimed to be fighting against, just in the opposite direction.

I honestly believe that it's this type of person who would later go on to propagate "red pill" beliefs, which would then spiral into gamergate types and people who cried "censorship" when Steam wouldn't host Hatred on their service, among other types.

Oh yeah. As an edgy 14 year old atheist in 2008-2009, the atheist shit was bad enough that I rethought my position on atheism while not believing in God or respecting Christianity.

I think it was synonymous with the anti-PC crowd at the time, because the PC crowd of the 90's and 2000's was the religious right. But as time went on, this came to encompass your standard, shitty "get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich" douchebags, and "God isn't real and I'm not going to hell for being deliberately offensive" turned into people actually getting offended and up in arms about feminism and shit. I'd go as far as to call them proto-incels - they preceded PUAs, who preceded "meninists", who preceded incels.

I indulge in the "Disney is buying user reviews!" conspiracy, only because I think it's fucking hilarious that that's the narrative after "Disney is buying critic reviews!"

I don't actually believe that it's the case, the extent of my enjoyment of that meme is that internet nerds will believe in anything as long as it suits their stupid self-absorbed narrative.

I will say that even with its incredibly choppy pacing, I liked Rise of Skywalker more than TLJ - and I actually like to talk about TLJ critically instead of trashing it completely for Canto Bight and Luke Skywalker. The second half of RoS is still popcorn-munching fluff, but the pacing chills out ever-so-slightly after a point and I found it to be a more entertaining movie after TLJ's slow-ass pacing, redundant story and stale humor. It's not a very good movie - TFA stands as the best movie of the sequel trilogy - but I can respect RoS more than I respect the abysmal pacing of Last Jedi.

First half is extremely ass, and if the whole movie was a shitty rush-job like the first half of the movie, I might have considered it to be worse than TLJ. But the movie balances out the pace to the point that it becomes watchable, and the dumb action hype of the movie is enough to get it through.

The Carrie story has been told three times in a visual medium, and is fundamentally about a teenager being driven to the limit by the taunts of her fellow students and her buttfuck insane mom. The miserable life that Carrie leads can be showcased through different lenses - bigotry can be one facet of a tormented life that drives people to incredible violence, and a PoC or trans Carrie wouldn't be that far removed from a white Carrie.

That's not to say that the movie could or should fall back to bigotry as the main motivating force, just that along with the torment that comes with being the lowest person on the pecking order, it's not that far removed to add bigotry to the mix.
