It definitely has problems but I still had a good time

Random thoughts (mostly nitpicks):
-Palpatine was definitely a random ass pull. Plus the fact that they never went into his son or anything is really unsatisfying
-Why didnt Rey just force heal Kylo after he died at the end? >__>
-Poe's lady friend is hot. I'd fuck the shit out of her
-I LOVE the Rogue Squadron series and it was great to see Wedge in the movie but the motherfucker literally has less than a second of screentime and 1 line. You could realistically blink and miss it.
-I like how Chewie finally got a medal lol
-Leia's death was really dumb. Worse than Luke's death. How the fuck did that kill her.
-That black girl's tooth gap was really really distracting >_> They could get someone with better teeth. I couldnt stop staring at it the whole time lol
-Rose is barely in it. Good.
-The whole giving items through the force was so dumb and made zero sense. Why not just give Kylo a ticking grenade or something lol
-Rey can force pull a starship but cant force push some waves or the sinking sand? smh

I know I critiqued it a lot but I did enjoy it >_> It definitely couldve been worse. I just wish Episode 8 wasnt such a train wreck

I agree that Palpatine was a "break glass in case of emergency" play. TLJ didn't leave many options on the table after it killed Snoke and turned Hux into a joke. ROS had to go with Palpatine or Plagueis, and it didn't have time to explain Plagueis.

Force healing transfers the life of the healer. Rey was able to heal minor and major wounds without exhausting her entire life force, but at the end of the movie Rey is fully dead. Ben is barely holding onto life as it is (having been drained by Palpatine and thrown down a pit), so he has to trade a life for a life to bring Rey back.

See, I'm convinced not a single goddamn person actually watched TLJ. People got upset that Yoda said she has all that she needs and thought they burned, but it clearly shows them aboard the Falcon.

The actress literally died the day after her mom died. The common theory is the stress of losing her mom hit her hard enough to give her a heart attack.

This is the last of the Skywalker Saga but I hope we get to see Rey as a master at some point down the line... she's still pretty much a rookie. She's had to do so much shit in so little time. A light side warrior with the power of the Palps is interesting. I was kind of sad she didn't use Force Lightning again in the movie.

I don't think there was much Wedge because in the past the actor has said he just isn't interested in the character. Saying one line and not having a helmet obscuring his face was probably the only way he'd do it.

Are you dumb? They established in TLJ that projecting yourself through the Force takes a lot of strength (Kylo comments that it's not Rey establishing their bond, it would kill her, and Luke dies doing it) so of course an older, weaker Leia who Maz explicitly says has to use the last of her energy doing what she needs to do would die reaching out to her son one last time to pull him back to the light.

I swear, people bitch about things that are blatantly and obviously explained.

When did this happen?

i mean in TLJ with rain, sure. But neither one of them were doing it. Its also unclear if whats happening to them uses their Force at all.

Every time Rey and Kylo Ren did this they were nearby. She was on his ship that was hovering over a city. At the end they were even closer.

Kylo took Rey's necklace across the galaxy, then Rey teleported her lightsaber to Kylo at the end, but they were like a mile away from each other at most on that point

Kylo literally pulled off her necklace and used it to discover what planet she was on.

I doubt she shifted every individual particle of sand with her force powers. If anything it probably worked more like an abstract shovel.

It's literally building on what was established of their strong bond in TLJ. They didn't pass items through there deliberately, but some rain made it through. Then they began doing it themselves in this movie, at first on accident and finally at the end deliberately. I mean, you can think it's stupid, that's your opinion, but the buildup is there and that can't be denied.
