Depends on the age of the first VR platform that's being obsoleted to be honest and the cost.

Like if you're putting out a new platform every 2 years, you'd better believe I want some backwards compatibility. If it's every 5-6 like it looks like PS VR is doing, I'm maybe a bit more lenient, but if it costs a lot and has a very limited library that's a bit irritating too. I don't own a PS VR so I can't really say anything about anything with respect to the library but yeah, there are a lot of factors.

I'm just saying it's different than the days of the SNES though. Newer hardware makes emulation more viable and reasonable to expect. The PS5 is backwards compatible, why can't the PS2 VR be? It's not unfair at all, but there could be some wrinkle specific to VR that would introduce too much latency in the input that would ruin immersion, or make the hardware cost go way up-- we really can't know. An explanation would be nice to get, to be sure.

That being said i generally just auto trade (with an exception or two as it seems needed) when I trade. I'm just saying if you're trying to trade a character you like for a character you like you may as well just save the two characters.

The viability of shutting out characters depends on the field, who the character is, who is trying to trade, how many traders are tripling up on the character, etc.

You say "not till top 5" but that isn't what I'd call a hard and fast rule. If there is a coordinated effort to shut a character down it can be done well before that.

This lets the naturally strongest among my preferences get further and gives a better chance that the final will not the completely suck, at the cost of losing some of my much higher favorites earlier. But I mean the idea of keeping X-Death on life support to the top 10 doesn't sound all that fun to me. The year will come when I only have to help a little. That's when we strike.

I know nothing about VR technology or the systems and games however I would think if they are upgrading software and hardware and ways to trace eye movement and sensors and all that crap then to expect it to be compatible with games that weren't designed with those specifics involved is foolish.

Generally backwards compatibility is achieved by emulating the thing you're backwards compatible with. Speaking in general programming terms there are absolutely ways to "dumb down" more advanced sensor tracking to the format the less advanced hardware would expect and send that to the games.

The question is whether the complexity of doing that would compromise the VR experience. The answer to that question could be "yes" or it could be "it wouldn't but it's too much work and/or extra cost so we're not" or it could be "we can do it but we're choosing not to because we can milk more money off the VR crowd by not doing so"

So you could be right but it's not as simple as "why snes no play nes games" either necessarily.

I think Mzero handing the pineapple to Ulti and hammering me is probably the most likely to end the game in victory. But it might be a power up of some sort if used so risky. I do think mzero probably explodes if he holds onto it though.

I've thought about this setup way more than any of you because of being frustrated over a Death Miller. So like, just trust me tomorrow, please.

The design was intended that while the role is "unfair" there are a lot of outs to catch it. I still think if we use shovels we'd reveal the facade too, as well as Lea's thief role.

Which incidentally, is why I'm a lot less nervous about being lynched and losing now. I think 10/4/1 Death Miller isn't a setup that passes the eye test. 11/4 though, with this specific death miller and this specific game setup, yeah, it works.

Like if we want to end the day I'm completely fine with it. We have MZero give me the pineapple just in case it's a sneaky extra kill, have Ulti hammer me.

Now if the setup is 10/4/1 with Death Miller I would actually agree they shouldn't host again

As an 11/4 with a lot of role traps, the setup works though

The Death Miller is fine in this setup. I think we could have figured it out even if I didn't catch Ctes. There are a few reasons it works here and I'll be happy to defend them when the game is over.

Like anyone thinking this is an unfair setup, providing I'm understanding it correctly, just wants baby mode mafia and doesn't want to think.

It could be Poppy that Ulti tries to convince you all is scum that is, using the Corrik gambit-- Kirby made a really good post that found Corrik's post with a list of town and scum reads that implied Corrik would not have targeted Poppy. SBell as it turns out was on that list too, conveniently.

Just keep in mind the following

Red hammer as a scum role seems silly, very unlikely to be scum imo
Sbell, if not Roshan (and if he is, whatever, just give him the game), is probably a "Roshan miller" of sorts
MZero's role is basically confirmed as a bonus income would be needed for him to buy the Pidas.
Poppy's role is too weird and risky to just fakeclaim out of nowhere

Ulti has by far played the most scummy of all of you in a vacuum. When miller watcher is not in the setup, the meta of "no useful roles" has value too. Jailkeeper is a weird protection role to have in the setup as well because there isn't much stuff to roleblock.

Keep in mind the following things

1. Ulti is going to try and convince the game that Red or SBell is scum. Do not fall for his tricks.
2. Do not accept a no lynch. Scum could have another extra kill in the wings.

As long as Ulti is lynched I think we win. There is no third party.

Ulti buying that item to begin with doesn't even make sense with his role.

I imagine scum have their own secret shop and he needed to disguise why he was going there.

Someone should buy a healing salve at some point during the day and see if it disappears from the inventory like the mayo Kirby got or the pidas thing that MZero got

Like I know you all think I'm confirmed scum because death miller can't exist but paint Ulti's actions over the course of the game and you can't find town motivations for anything he's doing. It's all about placing pieces to avoid suspicion. Right now pre-emptively using the item he didn't have is entirely so he can't be asked to give it away.

What purpose does it serve as a day action. It doesn't last overnight.

I don't think you can do both in one night. Items take an action unless they say otherwise I believe.
