When you say turn 4 buying you mean on 6 gold?

And I like the early 3 in theory but often I feel like it can take enough rounds to get to 7 minions and to stop losing that I would end up having to play defensively so I wouldn't go to tavern 4 until the regular timing anyways.

Incidentally turn 8 is my favorite "Sell Steward of Time, Buy 3 things" turn. You will almost never get more than 1/1 value from steward at any point in the game, but on turn 8 you will usually have empty spots on board, and you will hopefully be offered multiple 3-star units.

In a non-token start you should be at 5 minions on board anyways so the math will often work out perfectly on this turn if you get offered a good window. And if you do have a couple tokens in play then it gives you the flexibility to sell Steward for 2 buffs that you keep and reroll+token sell for a 3rd minion if your window simply did not have 3 keepers in it.

Honestly in situations where you have a good start, but then you whiff a couple rolls my go-to move is often an early level up if I think my HP can sustain the hit. ESPECIALLY if I'm facing down a character that is less likely to deal a big hit, someone like Deryl or Post-Nerf Millhouse. Yeah their board is going to beat my board, but they are less likely to have stuck multiple 4-star minions so hopefully I can walk away with less than 10 damage.

Like let's say you are doing the typical timing.

Play a card on 3
Level on 4
Sell/Buy2 on 5
Buy2 on 6
Level+Buy1 on 7

If you get offered GARBAGE on 8 then by all means level up after your 1 whiffed reroll.

But most likely you will be able to improve 2 or 3 spots on 8 with 3-star minions so 8 is usually not a big offender.

So you level/buy on 9 (or level/roll/sell/buy if you are on 7 minions)
And 10 is another GREAT turn to consider pushing the level rather than just whiffing on the "okay" comp that you have a decent opener for.
If you kept pace and levelled on 9 then it'll cost 8 mana to level again on 10 so that gives you the opening window and 2 rerolls to suck it up and level.

There are a lot of factors that will make this impossible such as just having crappy matchups. Maybe you ran into millhouse on 2 so you got bopped for 4-5 and then you ran into AFKay on 3 and got bopped again, and then you hit pyramad just before his hp scaling stops being so relevant.

But I guess the point i'm making is if you aren't sure if you want to commit to your opener or improve the board then it's going to come down to whether or not you can afford to level. If you can afford to level (maybe you are still at 35 hp) then push the level. If your hp is too low that you can't even consider pushing the level then you have your answer. Toss the crap murloc and take whatever gives you even a tiny bit more stats for the round.

10961 is the cutoff currently to appear on the top 200 leaderboard, so I'm still a long ways from that, but maybe if I were able to play a bit more :/

Kibler is playing hack the system warrior...and I actually think he might have a point.

Warrior has really good anti-aggro tools, like any build of warrior with the core Risky Skipper Ancharr Armoursmith package is going to beat Demon Hunter. But warrior struggles against greedy decks like Reno Mage. Hack the system gives you a lategame engine to actually fight those decks.

I built the deck from his list and it's been performing pretty well.

I keep running into value matchup though and so the games have been running longer than i would care for.

I don't understand why HS specifically is having connection issues. I have to decide on my play IMMEDIATELY because if I rope there is a 50/50 chance I wont get the play off.

I'm running a Dragon hunter list that also runs 1 beast, Zixor, Apex Predator.

Just had a game where BOTH turns that i'm about to play Scavenger's Ingenuity (to draw the ONE beast from my deck) I topdeck Zixor. Was something like a 1/18 followed by a 1/17. Consequently I have to play 4/4 Zixor instead of 7/7 and they just barely get cleared by the warrior "1 damage when a minion is played" AoE.

Felt bad.

I was two wins away from my first time ever getting to Legend with Highlander Priest and went through a bit of a slump. So I joined the dark side and started playing Galakrond Warlock. Well, I think the universe is punishing me for this decision because I just had possibly the most tilting loss I've ever suffered in Hearthstone in the mirror. It would've 100% gone on Trolden if I was a streamer.

My final card in the deck was Galakrond. My second-to-last card in the deck was Kronxx, so if I played it, I'd just turn on fatigue. My third-to-last card in the deck was a Veiled Worshipper, aka something that would've been incredibly useful to get to those cards, but not at that point!

So the turn I draw Kronxx, I decide to play Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and get Ysera Unleashed. OK awesome, that's potentially two more board reloads if I survive, but he has 3 minions with 8 attack on board, I'm at 17 health and have no taunt, and he hasn't played his Zephrys yet, so I'm probably just dead to Bloodlust. Sure enough, he plays it and then..... Blizzards me? So I'm stuck at 9 HP with a frozen board.

Out pops three dragons from Ysera and then finally my Galakrond. Still no taunts, so I sadly have to Plague of Flames away my massive board, then Galakrond away and hit him in the face to bring him down to 10. He has already used Alex on himself earlier, and he only has one Nether Breath left, so even if he clears my board, I can just Kronxx and second weapon charge for lethal. One of the four demons I get is dormant (keep this in mind).

On his turn, he responds with his own Plague of Flames, and spends too much mana to be able to Nether Breath, so he's stuck at 10 HP, ripe for the easy 10 damage I have left. My next turn starts and Kronxx isn't glowing. I can't play him. Oh, right, my dragons are coming in; I just have to wait for the animation to load, I guess. The first dragon pops up; it's a small one. Then comes a Zzeraku. Then another Zzeraku. That's kinda funny. Then a Deathwing. Then fatigue damages me. I now have a dormant demon, 4 dragons from Ysera, and suddenly two 6/6's from Zzeraku fatigue.

I can't play my Kronxx because I have no fucking room on the board.

I smack him in the face anyway to put him to 5 for next turn. He Twisting Nethers everything and Nether Breaths my face. I can't kill him with Kronxx anymore and I'm fatiguing faster because I put a bunch of Albatrosses in his deck, and I end up losing and I have a useless 5/4 that draws me at least 9 damage in fatigue if I play it. He deals with the Kronxx stuff and I have to concede to this guy who just gave up the most obvious Zephrys lethal there's ever been at Rank 2.

I need to take a break from this game. I played entirely too much of it today, in the hopes of getting over the legend hump and I'm kinda worried about my mental state right now.

Ouch, that bites. I would suggest taking a mental day for sure. Or maybe do a round of BG when constructed feels rough.

I'm sure you can hit legend this week though :D

I just had the most absurd A.F.Kay game.

Turn 3 (5 mana) I took Imp Gang Boss and Shifter Zerus

There were no tokens in the window (I went 0/3 on token windows) so I levelled, played the imp gang boss and prayed.
Fortunately in this round my opponent power leveled to 3 so he only had 1 minion on board so my imp gang boss took the win.

Turn 4? Shifter Zerus becomes Voidlord. I spend 6/6 gold levelling to 3.

Next turn I level to 4.

The following turn I level to 5.

On my 9 gold turn I am level 5 and I still have 35 hp because my voidlord carried every fight. I think it helped that I instantly levelled which gave my opponents the confidence to level rather than getting their board ready to take on the void daddy.
But anyways on this 9 gold turn I buy 3 cards because I know i need to fill my board. I don't remember what they were exactly. It was just a decent 4star and 3star minion that got played to the board...and another shifter zerus.

On my 10 gold turn shifter zerus becomes Mama Bear. I have Goldrinn, Rat Pack, Rat Pack and Houndmaster in my window. The beast transition begins!

On turn 9 (what would be the 11 gold turn) I level to 6 and continue to take no damage because I have a strong beast core.

I spend a couple turns buying beasts. I also buy 2 Kalecgos. Initially it was just to take them out of the pool so my beasts would be uncontested. But then I get a window that is just perfect so I transition into double kalecgos dragons. I go from a full beast board to 2x Kalecgos, Bronze Warden, Razorgore and cobalt. The board becomes huge over 2 turns.

I also slip in a poisoned mackerel after the bronze warden.

Then I get offered a SECOND mackerel + Brann + Primalfin + Megasaur. So I sell down to 3 dragons (1 Kalecgos, 1 Razoregore, 1 Bronze Warden) and fully transition into double divine poison mackerel.

At this point everyone is dead or I could have transitioned further into the "taunt a single mackerel and fill the board with other divine shields" super comp. But it was such a crazy game that just kept giving and giving. I *might* have been able to win outright with the beast comp (at the very least top 2 or 3 was assured), but the beast resources were starting to dry up so I stand by the transitions I made.

Dropped from 8k to 7.5, then back up to 7.8k.

Had some frustrating phone games where I ran into time out situations. Particularly frustrating was when it happened during a shudderwock game where I had a golden Kadgar and I was making two golden units with every token unit, but the phone animations ruined me.

And yeah those tier lists spoils be used as guidelines but you have to consider the type of players who are contributing to those results. Heroes worth higher skill caps are invariably better than they appear.

No, this issue ONLY happens on PC. On mobile I don't have the problem where it stops responding, but then I have the downside of having less time to do everything because the mobile animations are longer.

Tweaked the power save settings to see if that was it, and unfortunately it wasn't.

On my 5 Gold Turn I was immediately F***ed over and unable to buy my second unit. So I got through the Coin + FirstBuy and was about to buy again and instead I floated 3 F***ing gold.

And I was playing Lich Baz and it turns out there is absolutely no room for that kind of play so I got 7th place -_-

It's the freaking worst. If it's just a port that needs to be forwarded I can do that. It's not a windows firewall thing because I turned that shit off, I have a solid connection streaming videos the entire time even when HS is going in and out. And it isn't just hearthstone, it's all blizzard. I have similar periods of non responsiveness playing Diablo as well. It makes it impossible for me to roll a hardcore character in D3 right now because I could just randomly die to the blizzard-only latency issues at any time.

Does anyone else have an issue where Hearthstone CONSTANTLY has connection issues? Multiple times every game things will just get hung up. Usually it's just for a few seconds at a time, but every once in awhile it has to do a full reconnect. It makes it impossible to use an entire turn to full effect such as trying to do a Brann Murloc transition late in the game.

I've tried to google it but none of the advice seems to be relevant or helpful for fixing it. It's pretty frustrating.

Grocery door down the street from me has a very long line to get in. They are only letting in X number of people at a time so we have to wait for people to leave before we can enter.

I was at the DMV earlier and it was the same thing. Rather than packing everyone in like sardines they had maybe 30~ chairs in the building all 6+ feet apart from each other, and everyone outside the building had to wait in line. Nevermind the fact that people were standing shoulder to shoulder in the line to get INTO the now spacious DMV, but I suppose that can't be helped.

Like imagine a guy who is more concerned about the welfare of his Pet Dog compared to his Human Son.

(in this example, Americans are the Human Son, and the stock market is the Pet Dog)

And then the next day he accidentally shoots the Dog in the head.

So we say that's a bad thing to do.

And your response is along the lines of "Well look who cares about the dog so much all of a sudden! Hypocrites!"

Obviously our president should care more about protecting people than companies. And we all wish our president would give more credence to facts instead of just saying whatever he wishes were fact. But we also don't want him to go out of his way to torpedo the stock market by very poorly announcing a unilateral Europe Travel Bad, but also explaining it so poorly that it was difficult to understand just what was being banned. And also not discussing/coordinating any of the details with Europe?

There has been rumblings of allowing people at my work (IRS) to switch to working from home as a response, but I'm not sure how quickly they could get the equipment together to make that happen. I'm guessing not for at least several weeks and that's assuming the rumors are serious and there are steps being taken on the back end to push it forward.

He has been terrible in a variety of ways.

But when faced with the many truthful allegations of Trump's awfulness a common reaction is "But the Stock Market !!1!". This "defense" disregards the fact that a healthy market disproportionately benefits those already well off, but now it's about to be undercut by the fact that the gains have evaporated in less than a fortnight.

Now to be clear I am not blaming trump for the market drop. But I also do not think he was solely responsible for the market gain in the first place, so we can call that a wash.

What I will blame him for is for immediately expressing concern for the health of the market before expressing concern for the health of the american citizens.
Edit: And to expand upon that, he immediately tried to downplay the seriousness of COVID19 in an overtly obvious play to keep confidence high in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
