Looks like Tucker's time at Fox is up. They want him gone. And it'll be better if he goes... stop giving those shameless RINOs free ratings they don't deserve. Watch him go to OANN or something and see that place explode in popularity.

The Republican Party frequently changes its position. The same position that used to be a Republican position could now be a RINO position. At this point the Republican Party is fully on the socialism train (only in their case, it's a socialist private jet).

Pretty sure they actually are though
As an IRS employee I can confirm I've seen many a tax return from people without social security numbers and with no citizenship. We will assign an ITIN (individual tax identification number) to just about anyone so their income can be counted and taxed. And since most illegal immigrants are those who overstayed their Visas they likely had an ITIN that they were already using and continued to use.

And the kicker is that these people are not eligible for many of the same tax credits that citizens are eligible for so their effective tax rate is often HIGHER than that of your average American. They are getting shafted and still paying their dues to stray in good standing.

So let's not buy into the BS assumption that they are all living here tax free, thanks.

LOL I love how an IRS employee with first hand experience weighing in on brown people paying taxes is gospel because it fits the narrative, but a cop who has worked for a decade in an almost exclusively brown neighborhood is spreading racist propaganda for sharing experiences with literal human savagery.

This unemployment boost shit has me in all kinds of feels right now.

I am still working and possibly can be until September 3rd. Been applying places. My girl just got a job at Walmart as a personal shopper (I got her looking for the international aisle to practice lmfao). And, still I am refreshing 10 times a day seeing what is going on with it. I can only imagine people who aren't working right now and aren't gonna get max unemployment and stuff.

Republicans are really pissing me off. How hard would it have been to tell states to update their computers months ago because in August they were gonna have to be able to run a system to determine boosts to 100% of wages. Or to just figure out what the fuck you were gonna do so people could prepare.

Well you know why they are doing it this way - why they always do it this way - it's to get maximum leverage by putting the Democrats up against a deadline. Then they hand them a bill on the last day and say either you pass our bill or we go over the cliff. And because the Democrats are spineless wimps, they'll agree to the bill, just like they always do.

Don't think so. Republicans want a short term extension til the end of August to negotiate the package more. Democrats want it figured out now and for long term because it is Republicans who balls are in a vice. And they deserve it for this nonsense they are playing here. Like, fuck stimulus checks. Do a payroll tax holiday of like 4% or so and do a boost of some sort for unemployed. This covers everyone. Like, literally half the unemployment is because they forced or continue to force people to shutdown. If they didn't wanna do stuff, they shouldn't have shut places down.

And idk wtf is going on with the PUA shit. Ppl are scamming that shit left and right in PA. People who haven't worked in 6 years are filing for it and getting approved for massive checks. Hell, they just found out that ppl in pa prisons were getting it because they listened in to a phone call when the dude was telling his girlfriend how to file it for him for that week. Lol.

https://delawarevalleynews.com/2020/07/18/pa-prison-inmates-scamming-unemployment-benefits/

This is happening across PA not even with inmates. And it is because for some reason it is just accepting everyone. I was with a group of ppl drinking Saturday and 5 of the 7 were in the process of getting it or got it already and were getting huge backpaid checks upwards of 11k. 2 were on disability for 5 years plus. 1 was a housewife who doesn't work at all for maybe 10 years now. And 2 were people currently working under the table jobs.

They were trying to convince me to get my girl to file for it. I said no because it is a scam. They were like we didn't lie about anything they approved us regardless. And I was like yeah but they will eventually figure it out and want their money back and take it out of your wages at some point. And a few of them were just like who cares we don't work what wages. The others at least seemed a bit nervous but we're adamant this was intended this way. However, they were talking about who cares everyone is doing it and /or people they are telling to do it. And I am just like... Yoinks.

It's a fair assumption though. Democrats have adopted this lukewarm middle ground stance where they care enough for incremental relief policy but don't care enough to raise hell about it and that's why Republicans can keep pushing through policy when they get cornered.

Why haven't Democrats been collectively screaming as loudly as they can about the need for more relief over the past month or two?

The "best" spin for that is, I think, a cynical ploy to appeal to older voters who might be inclined to actually believe that nonsense.

But really it's just a dumb statement. I don't really think it's worth much attention though especially when it came out at the same time Trump announced he's going to send DHS into more cities. Which, speaking of, we're closing in on 500 days without a Senate-confirmed DHS Secretary. Not even a nominee during that vacancy despite Republicans holding the Senate.

Perhaps if they weren't brainwashed to think the virus would dissappear like a miracle.

But seriously a system of 100% of lost wages to a cap of some number above 600 seems like a no brainer.

Dont get why this has been so hard. The 600 as a temporary fix to a more complex system should have been easy.

like that's definitely a problem that needs to be fixed but it's more complicated (and expensive) than "jesus guys just run windows update and get the newest patch"

As for the GOP they just don't believe in the government helping people so they're highly resistant to any government aid. $400/month though they're out of their minds. If only we had a competent media that would point out the House passed a bill that's sitting in the Senate months ago and we could just skip to the negotiation phase. Senate is gonna get cut out of this in the end anyway so this whole song and dance is pointless to begin with.

Dems are quite likely to win CO and AZ, and quite likely to lose AL. If those all go as expected, they then just need to win two out of ME, NC, MT, IA, KS, GA x 2 (if you really want to stretch you can throw in SC, KY, and TX, but I think Doug Jones is more likely to keep his seat than Dems are to win any of those).

Senate is currently 53-47. So 3 flips + VP would give Dems control with a Biden win.

Because Doug Jones almost definitely loses the AL race let's make that 4 instead. (And if Jones wins then Dems have like 53+ seats lol)

Senate Battlegrounds are something like this:

Almost Safe D: CO
Likely D: AZ
Tilt D: NC, ME
Toss Up: MT
Lean/Likely R: IA, GAx2 (there's a special election there so both seats are up)

Special Case: KS. If Kobach wins the primary it's in play for a flip. If not nope. McConnell's PAC is actually trying to defeat Kobach there lol.

In a Biden wins scenario I think they can get to at least 50-50 unless it's razor thin. If it's a tidal wave like the polls currently indicate maybe they somehow get to around 52.

Definitely still possible it's retained by the GOP.

Where do you see Maine as a Tilt D?

270 has Colorado, Montana, north Carolina, and Arizona as toss ups and Maine likely red.

Collins won her last 2 elections by 20 and 30 points respectfully, and the only recent poll besides a Democrat poll (which has Gideon 4 points ahead) is a gravis poll with Collins 14 points ahead.

Apparently that gravis poll was from last year. However, we have no non-democrat polls in Maine then.
