Im team polite, but I no longer get mad at other people. I just am like

If only this board's resident bowling expert were still around

I always wait. And other people next to me wait, as well Idk if you have to, though. But I would feel weird bowling if someone next to me was already going. Plus, I wouldnt be able to concentrate. But luckily, most people wait, even when theyre strangers

Well, and the reason I started not caring is because 1. It really doesnt matter get over myself, and 2. If you play by the hour, why wait for other people and cost yourself valuable bowling time?

I just do it to be nice. So, I never really thought of it as people having to get over themselves. But we never really needed to rush. So, it was fine. Haha. We just had fun being together

Anyways people who go at the same time as me drive me crazy. I usually just try to stop before I throw even if it should've been my turn first if I can tell they're gonna do it, cause it throws me off my game

Always be polite unless the other person is cacciato.

When I was a kid and bowled in leagues, the coaches always told you to wait for the person next to you to finish. It can be distracting seeing someone moving out of the corner of you eye when trying to line up your shot (and you never know how much that person "cares").

In reality, it is a mechanism left over from when the automatic pin setters where crap and would lock up if both lanes cleared at the same time. It probably doesn't matter anymore, but it is still polite.

bowling isn't big in australia, i've only done it a few times in my life to try it out. don't think i knew about this etiquette

I didn't know there was etiquette besides "don't walk on the lanes".

I always follow bowling etiquette.
Helps that my parents, grandpa (mums side), grandma (dad's side) and my uncle (mum's side) were all big bowlers when I was growing up so I basically grew up in bowling alley's and I was a couple leagues as a kid who stressed proper etiquette.

I always wait for the person on the lane next to mine to go before I do.

Ive always paid by the game, but if it was per hour maybe it would make more sense?

Telling someone to get over themselves because theyre polite seems bad.

I was going to say the same thing earlier because I thought he said pay by the hour. But when I reread it, I think it was play by the hour. Haha.
