Kinda off-topic, but as of tomorrow it will have been two months since we got a new N64 game added to NSO. We still have 1080 Snowboarding, Excitebike 64, Mario Party 3, Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 confirmed, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that we get 1080 very soon.

I heard it's better than the main game but I can't speak from experience.

For any chronic procrastinators like me, it looks like it doesn't close until 8 p.m. EST tomorrow, so that's a relief. I did my main shopping spree months ago but wanted to do a second one and will be at work til 10 p.m. today.

Can't really think of much left to get besides the other Oracle game on 3DS, but gotta check the Wii U eshop. And I might as well cop those Ace Attorney sales.

Oh good. Yes, I'm a huge procrastinator, and I've been sick for a few days. Last night I was so feverish/delirious. At points I kept wondering, what if I miss it?

I finally stopped procrastinating and downloaded Pok Transfer. I still have some money leftover I dont know what to spend on. Knowing me, Ill probably get a bunch of Virtual Console games and call it a day.

Also, reminder to any huge Pokmon fans to buy Dream Radar. It doesnt cost that much and has special Pokmon you can transfer to Black 2 and White 2.

Got to the point in NSMB2 where you can buy dlc. I'm not going to buy it all, but I did go for the Impossible Pack.

Given how many last min purchases we're seeing just here, wonder how much is being spent total on this last week on the eshop.

Probably less than you'd think. I imagine B8 (and maybe GameFAQs in general?) is an incredible outlier when it comes to purchasing digital content for defunct consoles that you need workarounds to even add funds to anymore.

Yeah true, did see other communities like Reddit have biggish threads with recommendations on titles.
Side effect of all this is I ended up accumulating some Nintendo Gold Points, so I can grab a Switch title at a not so gross price.

I got kicked off four times downloading Layton vs AA which made me go "Yep, everyone's on here."

Software updates are supposed to still be available after the closure, just in case anyone is panic-updating right now. Which makes sense because if they need to update something after the closure we still need to be able to download it. Crazy as it sounds, but several 3DS and Wii U games, including Mario Kart 7, received an update last year due to the discovery of a bug that allowed people to hack into your system just by you being online while playing them.

Seeing so many threads with people being confused about Pokemon Bank and Pokemon Transporter.
They really ought to have just made Bank free ahead of closure.

yeah I misunderstood this at first and almost missed out on Transporter. A little salt I had to pay $5 for something that's going to be free tomorrow

I think I've got everything I want. I've watched a few videos, and there are some neat games I don't own but I can't justify putting money onto my Nintendo account just to get them. Fingers crossed I won't regret missing out on anything.

I picked up some random DLC and two of the Etrian Odyssey games last week, other than I think I'm good, I have physical copies of pretty much everything I care about anyway and the only other things I kind of wish I had are remakes that are a bit too overpriced for me when I could play their original forms instead

Bought a bunch of Ace Attorney stuff - what I didn't have was just $10 - and I think I'm good. My backlog is ginormous anyway.

Did download the codes (thanks, darkx and GTM!) too so I'm good there. I'll be entertained on my travel day back home tomorrow.

the only reason why I'm getting these DLCs for PW is that I already have them officially, I guess I just want them completed

and I want to have at least one "official" 3ds for Pokebank as I have a few Pokemon games

Pokebank I believe will be free tomorrow as long as you have it downloaded already.
To get Poke Transporter you will need to have a paid Pokebank, have a save file for one of the 3DS games at an appropriate point, and only then can you access the download for it

I'm not even sure what the transporter or bank is at this point, I never used them, I figured it was something to do with transferring them to Switch games

Is transporter important? I thought Bank was all I needed

Transporter is what's needed to bring stuff from the DS games

None of it matters though now because it seems like the eShop went down for maintenance so that might be the end of it!

The eShop is under maint for Switch as well, so it could be regular maintenance.

don't forget you can also bring pokemon from the GCN games to the GBA games!

For that, you'll also need one of the Gen V games and a second DS/3DS to transfer from SoulSilver to one of the Gen V games first, and then you can use Transporter to bring them into Bank and then into Home.

At least I'm pretty sure Transporter can't connect to Gen IV.

To sum it up, Poke Transporter is needed for transfers from Black and White games. In your case, you would need to transfer the GBA games to Soul Silver and then transfer to one of the Black/White games. THEN you can use Pokemon Transporter to get them into Bank.

Alright so last set of DLC that I got.

LBX: Little Battlers eXperience - This one you can get right in the main menu and it doesn't make a connection to the Nintendo eShop, so much like the other Level 5 games, it could be around after closure.

Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker - Took me about an hour and 20 minutes of playing until I reached the point of being able to access the DLC shop. There are 2 free DLC on there.
But I chose the first Story since I haven't played Devil Survivor 2 before. Maybe it would have taken less time if you choose the second Story, but that one assumes that you've already played though the game.
I only fought like 2-3 battles but there's a lot of dialogue in the story.

I looked at some free to start games.

Strechmo - You have to play the first 6 stages before it asks if you want to buy the rest of the game. I like how the 6th stage was a whale. It's like they're trying to say something here....

Steel Diver: Sub Wars - You can get the Premium Version right when you start the game, which adds more single-player stuff, and lets you play online, which may or may not be dead at this point.
There are also submarines that you can buy as DLC, which are mostly real-life historical subs, but there are some fun ones like the Blue Marine from Sta Fox 64, and the final boss from the first Steel Diver.

Rusty's Real Deal Baseball - This one I didn't actually get. The game is a series of baseball mini-games that you can buy, with the idea that you can haggle to get the price of the game lowered. But to be able to haggle all the games down to their lowest price, you need to spend some time playing, and I'm quite tired of doing that right now.

Ok, I say I'm done with DLC now.

Going through this, I'm reminded how much I missed despite having a 3DS because I didn't have money or time. It's crazy.

Anyway, Detective Pikachu. Worth it? I've had it on my wish list but never bought it.

It's cute, I enjoyed it. You can still find very reasonably-priced physical copies on eBay though so it might not be the most immediately pressing purchase.

Was going to grab Crystal and Bank but I think I might be out of luck, apparently my Nintendo Network ID is set up for a different region so I can't link it to my current Nintendo account.

Went through most of this topic, bought what I needed to do (mostly getting some DLC that I've put off forever). Didn't even know most Persona Q cartridges were broken, guess I was lucky because I tested mine this weekend and it worked fine.

I'm at work until the shutdown so no chance of me getting anything else now, so hopefully I did get everything I wanted.

Anyone who has used RPG FES player, any particular recommendations?

Thanks for the Stretchmo reminder. I picked that up right before leaving for work. I completed all levels in Crashmo and Pushmo World and kinda forgot about this one.

Hopefully I havent forgotten anything else, since its likely too late now.

Also just a quick reminder that while the 3DS has a "Download Later" option at the point of purchase, the Wii U does not, so if you don't have the space available to download it immediately, it won't let you buy it (again, this is at the point of purchase; you can of course delete stuff and redownload it later).
