NintenD'OH of the Day (well actually the news is about a month old but this is the first I'm hearing of it) - Apparently if you don't use your Wii U for a long time (like, several years) it can brick upon being powered on. It seems a lot of people discovered this when it was time to make their last-minute eShop purchases.

I think me turning on my Wii U like once every 1-2 years since the Switch came out spared me of that. I also noticed that it periodically would have an orange light on the power light, which probably helped keep it active throughout the years as well.

On another note, does anyone have Tri Force Heroes and they haven't played through it yet? I wouldn't mind playing through it with others someday.

FYI: Nothing to worry about, it's just undergoing maintenance.

The late eShop binge has me on a 3DS kick right now. I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting Pokemon Ultra Moon digitally because GameStop around me has totally stopped selling any Nintendo stuff pre-Switch.

Yeah I played through some games in 2020-2022, so that helped me out. The orange light, I believe, is the system connecting to the internet to check for updates, even if it's powered down.
