I used Firefox back in the day, then Chrome came out and I switched to it.

About 2 years ago I switched back to Firefox, but recently I've seen more and more "You're not using a supported browser" alerts, and it's always because they only support Chromium browsers (Chrome and Edge).

Is Chrome here to stay?

I've used Firefox since back when it was at... 2.0? Maybe 3.0? I... don't even remember what I used before. Probably IE?

As for "Is Chrome here to stay?" I mean probably I don't think Google is going anywhere soon. >_>

They're both in really good spots right now

What sites don't support firefox?

Used Firefox since the 3.x days

Used Chrome occasionally for flash-related things, and haven't touched it since flash was killed (thank fucking god it was. Awful piece of technology). I do use it and Edge at work though.

Honestly new Edge is better than Chrome, and I suggest anybody using Chrome to switch over. Still prefer Firefox to both, but some people don't like Firefox.

e.g this hasn't been true in about 7-10 years in my experience (They're pretty much the same for small number of tabs, but when you get more than 10-15 tabs Firefox tends to have noticably better use in my experience), but it's apparently still the common reputation.

Vivaldi, i've used it for about 5 years? I have tried various things like both edges, opera for a short while, some other chromium-based browsers etc... but really nothing has come remotely close to displacing vivaldi as my primary one since i started using it, especially with all the advancements it's had since launch

before it, i was on opera mainly for about half a year and before that was chrome, then firefox before that

Chrome. I alternated between Chrome and Firefox in the past but on my previous computer Firefox would just crash and freeze, reinstalling and other fixes I tried accomplished nothing so I gave up on it. I could probably use it now but eh.

I exclusively use Opera for porn. Entirely different set of bookmarks and browsing history! Hopefully separate tracking of search tendencies also but that's probably just a matter of time until it links up somehow....

It's quite good, really. The only issue is that add-on support is limited but it still has uBlock Origin which is by far the most important thing. Doesn't have containers, but that's a lot less important on mobile IMO

I've used mainly Vivaldi, since whenever it launched, like 2-4 years ago. I love it. Chrome rendering engine, but fun innovations, especially the left sidebar with all my bookmarks. Can't live without it.

Before that, I was a big Opera user for probably 10+ years.

(Although, I always have a Chrome instance open as well, I usually play background music from there. I just find a lot of advantages to having two different browsers open.)

I'm shocked Firefox is so popular here, I remember liking it a long time ago, but it quickly got janky, and still feels janky whenever I open it today. I probably need to give it more of a chance, 'cause I do enjoy reading their tech articles about their rendering and stuff.

i've especially been enjoying making extensive use of their experimental email client lately via the side panel

tab stacks and tab tiling is never not going to be super useful too (screenshot features too (even if there's been a minor bug with them lately)... and the best picture in picture implementation).

about the only thing i've been falling back on other browsers for now is the built in page translations (which i've been glad edge does as well as chrome on now)
