Plus it bypassed region lock so it was the only way I could play some imported games.

I own network adapters to use hard drives, that can bypass it, just need a compatible model.

And dislike emulating.

Some games ran better than PS2 (tales of the abyss), some didn't run at all (srw impact). Last time I tried was 2008 though.

Pretty sure PCSX2 perfectly emulates all PS2 games at this point. If any game can't be emulated, it's 100% a software issue and nothing to do with hardware.

Upon checking, PCSX2 lists 96.5% of all games as working. Generally due to interest good games end up being made to work first so it's likely the 3.5% not working are garbage games that nobody cared enough about to get working.

It's definitely not something to ever be taken lightly. You have to understand going in that their child is their number one priority at all times. And the child shouldn't be "tolerated," which was dude's first mistake, but happily accepted into your life.

Maybe it's because I'm around the age where I should have or be starting a family, but I'm not opposed to it in theory. Of course theory and practice are two different beasts.

I should make a mental note of that, since I still have SRW Impact here. Fortunately, the JPS2 is still almost as good as new, but ... in case it ever goes, it's good to know that I have alternatives.

No, there's a lot of games that that can't properly emulate, and 'working" does not mean "fully playable". There's tons of games that work but aren't anything you'd want to play.

Well I didn't use it too much but every playable I got was good enough for me. I know I played tales of abyss and samurai warriors empires. Think I tried a few others as well but that was a while ago. Maybe I just got lucky.

The doctor couldn't find the lump in my neck but assured me it was nothing to worry about...even though he has no idea what it was because he didn't feel it. Literally too angry to sleep right now. What is the point? Why do I even go to the doctors? The one thing an algorithm might do worse than a real doctor, a physical inspection, he just decided "eh fuck it, it's probably nothing". I'm actually going insane. I want to wake up from this. What great sin did I commit to deserve this never ending nightmare? Everything about me is "probably fine" and yet I am very clearly NOT FINE.

On a light note, Memoria Freese is having a crossover event with Goblin Slayer until the end of February, and the writers of both series collaborated in doing it, so the results are ... interesting. Danmachi can be a dark franchise, but never as dark as Goblin Slayer, and the characters remark on that. The 4th Wall also takes a few hits, since several voice actors are shared between the shows (e.g. Chigusa in Danmachi is also Cow Girl in Goblin Slayer), so the characters occasionally get confused as to who is talking. I might actually play all the way through this one, unlike the Attack On Titan and Date A Live III crossovers.

I see several doctors so my hope is to get the neurologist to look at it in 3 or so weeks when I go over my MRI with him.

I have no money and no job so my options are pretty limited. Theres some family money to get things that I absolutely have to get but not a ton.

I can't really figure out why but I never want to watch beastars. When I'm actually watching it, I enjoy it, but whenever I'm not, I just don't want to. Maybe it's cause the show doesn't really have a clear direction. It's kind of just random things happening.

Episode 4 is out of ishuzoku reviewers. Funimation stopped airing it because they are little bitches but I guess that doesn't effect me. This show is the best of the season. Can't wait for next episode.

In their defense, the anime has gone way raunchier than the manga did.

In their offense, I don't know why they stepped so close to the line to begin with. The show's premise is banging prostitutes. They shouldn't tiptoe the line if they're gonna be this skittish about it.

Ishuzoku reviewers aka interspecies reviewers is about a group of dudes (and a futa angel) in a fantasy world who bang prostitutes of every species they can find, and review them. They post the reviews at a local pub and people pay them for the info.

It's hilarious and borderline hentai. Especially episode 3 and 4. Like, I wouldn't have been surprised if funimation chose not to pick up the show, no big deal there, it's that they aired 3 eps and then canceled it.

The uncensored version is quite graphic. Like, they show sex and some fluids and stuff. Funimation wasn't airing that version though.

Finally started Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu (figured I'd put a hiatus on Shield which I started then got sidetracked) because I want some Meltan and, in addition to being impressed by the into, I'm a little stunned that the whole thing can be played with the Pokeball Plus. I hadn't realized that it could even be used to move your character. How wild is that?!

JFC, I wish I had just checked out when they began to get into the time travel nonsense. Pretty much everything that happens in the next arc is fucking terrible. At any rate, stopped reading several years ago -- I think -- because it hadn't been scanlated that far. Guess I should see how it ends. Also want to read the end of that New Soil Town thing I was reading at the same time.

I intend to play it. I played the jp version twice for a month or two both times.

It's tough for me to play action games with my health though. I seem to be able to handle about an hour of monster hunter twice a day on good days and PSO2 requires a lot more button presses so I'm not sure I'll actually be able to play it. I really want to play it though. Been looking for a new online game to play for a while.

I know, but Microsoft is heavily behind it. It wouldn't surprise me if they made it it physically incapable of working with Windows 7, despite the fact that the JP client works fine on it.

Yeah, most classes are pretty fast paced... You can play sword hero and hold one PA for decent dps, but it's not optimal. Summoner might be pretty chill because you can't JA, so no timing is really needed and you can just hold down PA buttons.

Made a big decision today. I retired from being a fanficcer after twenty years. Not easy to do, but I think it will be better for me in the long run. I mean, I'll keep writing, since I'm not about to stop doing that, but I've got to get out of that space. It's so toxic now that it's impossible to get anything done.

Yeah, I mostly played braver when I used to play which is probably one of the higher APM and timing based classes. I really LIKE fast paced high intensity combat, I've just grown incompatible with it. Hopefully I just get better. I long for the days when I used to have a static in MMOs to play with. Some of the most fun times of my life have been running easy dungeons in TERA while we all tried to get each other killed while on discord.

The game is super easy in general, at least. All you really need is general knowledge of the fight and a vague idea of your rotations and you'll outdamage most random MPAs. Hopefully you find a class that suits you; the game is still fun as hell as a casual after all these years.

I hope there is a better way to get more mags in the US version. I remember that greatly pissed me off in the jp version.

Eventually I gave in and bought three extras when they were on sale (usually as a combo pack with inventory space, which, by the way, is also basically mandatory.....). It was annoying trying to play 3 characters when I only cared about one.

i kind of give PSO2 a pass because it's f2p and buying the "essentials" for comfortable play still comes out to far, far less than the cost of an actual game, especially for how otherwise complete of a package the game is... but it is really annoying

I'd much much rather just pay 60 bucks all at once and get a well made game that gives everything. I think free to play almost forces shit game design. If you are free to play, you should be able to play comfortably without spending a cent. Most games basically just charge inconvenience instead of money. The only free to play game I've felt did it fine is league but I don't think their model works for most types of games.

I mean... $20 is enough to play comfortably. PSO2 is very, very generous. Most of the game's money is made off people trying to be fashionable, not off of selling contrived conveniences. If you play three characters, it's comfortable enough spending no money. I just personally don't like playing three characters.

Hell over the years it got even more friendly as it became far easier to get shop passes while f2p, and also removed the main selling point of the premium subscription with the advent of multi-block matching.

They secured exclusivity for CBT and it's starting to seem like OBT, and there is no actual launch date for PC yet. There were also interviews somewhere talking about how Microsoft is the driving force behind the localization.

PSO2 was originally a PC game. It is still not on XB1 in JP, nor are there any plans for it to be, so early releasing it (because progress in CBT/OBT carry over to launch) on XB1 is just weird. Up until about half a week ago (when a community manager managed to get permission to actually release details on twitter) there was total radio silence on all but a few details.

The fact that it's probably going to be on steam is really good news (if it was being served on Windows Games store I would have given up all hope, because it's common there), but I'm still a little wary.

Note that I have zero belief PSO2 is physically incompatible with W7, because I have been playing the JP version on it for six years now. I'm just worried about Microsoft being Microsoft trying their hardest to push their newest OS.

Yeah it's currently airing. I was expecting more of an ecchi comedy angle but it's more like light ecchi iyashikei so far. Also a pleasant level of yuri, though probably not enough to call the show a yuri anime. Then again, I've only seen 2 eps. Theres nothing amazing about it so far, but it's enjoyable which is all I was hoping for.
