Well that sucks a lot. Guess I won't bother reading it. Was it just a cliffhanger or was it as awful as Yakitate Japan's ending where he just went full parody for no reason in the final arc?

Food wars never is disappointing for me since I always enjoy seeing the new foods they cook, though the show has declined since first/second season.

Okay so there's a three part epilogue, that's an entirely different title.

It answered some stuff that was left unanswered in the main series, but the epilogue was advertised in the last chapter, so why didn't they just...put these into the main series.

It makes the ending not shit if these were just the ending.

Hmm... FF12 is a lot harder to get into than I thought.

I've only played for like 5 hours though and I only have the 1 character.

I know it'll open up once I get more members, but the different combat style will take some getting used to.

It REALLY gets better once gambits are introduced. That lets you automate much of combat and build strategies and thats where the combat becomes fun. It's very tedious early on when you just manually attacking everything and thats about it.

So Beastars, It's got some really well made characters and interesting themes. That's all you need to know. It doesn't take long to get used to its aesthetic.

Early FF12 is really slow, yeah. They try to frontload way too much plot.

So...I like ishuzoku reviewers quite a lot. It's pretty dumb ecchi but I find it oddly enjoyable. Can't wait for more.

I'm watching Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks and I find it really jarring how the main character randomly suddenly acts like a complete asshole to his mom just because she's clingy.

And I understand that the whole point is everyone who was chosen for this game has relationship issues with their mom, but his behavior changes from being normal to suddenly being an ass to his mom and mom only. He doesn't act like this towards anyone else.

I don't have anything to read.

I've read generally everything that interests me now, and I can't really find anything new. If I do, there's usually only like, a handful of chapters, and it's a monthly series.

I really hate monthly series, even if most of the ones I like are that. Yeah, the chapters are generally much longer, but like, I don't feel like that justifies having to wait a month for a new one. It's just large downtime, and plot moves either at a snails pace, or entirely way too fast.

And then they ALSO go on hiatuses, like weekly series do occasionally. THAT pisses me off the most. Like you have an entire fuckin' MONTH. And you're SKIPPING ONE.

It's better than fairy tail but worse than one piece. Main character is annoying but ends up being pretty bearable IMO. Show has a good arc around episode 40-50 IIRC. I'm not caught up.

It made me happy that in typical shonen fashion, they don't use their powers in the most cheap OP ways they could, but then later enemies call out the weaknesses to their main strat and the main characters actually adapt. That SHOULD be the standard, but it's very much not in shonen.

The main guys power is a bit uninteresting though. Typical ability cancel like main guy from index (touma I think).

Since the canceling is pretty all or nothing it's kind of hard to feel a steady level of progress so they mostly focus on his ability to reach targets and survive damage which is probably the best way they could go with it.

Wow, I've seen hentais that are less explicit than the last episode of ishuzoku reviewers. What sort of black magic did they use to be able to air this on tv? Even on atx. Fantastic episode. They all drank gender swap potions and then had lesbian sex with prostitutes. Which truck do I have to get hit by to get isekai-ed to this world?

Started watching Assassin's Pride. Doesn't seem great so far, but not as bad as I was expecting either. I'm tentatively finished with Dragon Quest Builders 2 as well. I left some stuff to do, to hopefully come back to it eventually and build some more. Will probably start on Vesperia de next.

Even if the sub had the same VAs as the original run, it'd be meaningless since I don't know Japanese meaning it'd just be noise. Plus following the subs would be annoying given that they do rapid-fire exchanges at times.

Yeah I do remember Saiki K being a bit difficult to follow with subs at times. Lots of times two or more characters are shouting things at the same time. Still hilarious though.

I will say that I prefer the new VA for the gyaru, who now sounds super-cute. (Or is it a new VA? idk, sounds different than what I remember.)

Well, it was only six episodes long, the quality was kinda so-so, and they under-utilized the cast, but that Saiki season at least ended pretty well considering that the sixth episode acted as an epilogue for the previous storylines where we got to see what happened after Saiki gave up his powers... and it was a pretty neat resolution up until things returned to the status quo. Granted, in terms of chronology, it kinda feels like that should have been the *first* episode of Re-Awakened instead of the last, but whatever.

One of these days I might check out the manga, although all of those manga sites keep getting axed or trying to go legit which is like getting axed but worse.

Yea, that half season of saiki was pretty lackluster. I loved the joke where When the group members kept pawning responsiblity over something to each other, and Hairo entrusted it to Nendou; Everyone blamed Hairo instead of Nendou.

Haven't really mentioned the doctors lately but fuck them. So content to let patients suffer without even trying to help. My neurologist gave up on me. "I have no idea what to do with you". Then fucking get out the books, make some calls, do something. Doctors are just robots designed to fill in a spreadsheet for each patient. The spreadsheet is the real doctor and it's not a very good one.

I might have MCAS and of course theres one guy in the state that deals with that and the soonest appointment is in fucking july assuming I live that long. The only reason I know I might have it is because of research me and my mom have done that of course the doctors I see have no idea about. He basically said it's not even worth figuring out whats wrong with me cause there won't be a treatment. Actual subhuman filth that deserves death. Fuck doctors. I would be so happy if I could just kill them all (which I won't do, my life matters to me). It's sickening how they think so highly of themselves. This is like my real life villain backstory before I go insane and try to reset the world or some shit. How did this happen? How are there not doctors willing to try and cure their patients? Why did they even pick this career choice? How do they sleep at night knowing they could make such a difference and yet choose not to? Why isn't anyone doing anything about this?

Sigh. It's just wasted energy. I can't make a difference either. Not sick like I am now. Down to 146 lbs and dropping, albeit slowly now. Feel random extreme heat and I twitch randomly and am in pain a lot of the time. Food still ruins me. Even a small amount of meat yesterday had me hurting for hours. Liver enzymes still high. Pretty much everything either too high or too low in my last blood test. Randomly get super fatigued and unable to feel emotions or think much. Kinda feels like my brain just isn't getting enough blood. Hands and feet freezing, can't sweat. Can't go out alone, can't drive. I didn't go outside once for over a month. The only people that care can't help and the only people that can help don't care. I don't even know why I'm so attached to living still. Some part of me is just coded to think life is worth living despite all the evidence to the contrary. Lucky me I guess.

In happier news, I started beastars and it's real good so far so theres that I guess.

I got Dragon Quest VIII on my 3DS last week because I'm never going to find a working model 50002 PS2 for sale to use as a replacement for my dead system.

Anyway, I finally got up to where I was on the PS2, I have my boat. I also levelled up too much. When I got Jessica (L9), the other two were L13. When I got Angelo, the first two were L20 and L18 for Jessica. And now everyone is over L20. Shame the Liquid Metal Slimes never stay still long enough to die. I only got one so far.

Isn't there more content in that version anyway? I would love a full remake that also fixes the alchemy system and drop rate for the extremely rare drops.

In all my checks of the eShop, the 3DS version hasn't gone on sale since release other than a 30% off My Nintendo voucher that I used to get it down to $56. PS2s tend to be cheaper than that and would let me play all my games.

I started reading "Kimi no Okasan o Boku ni Kudasai," about a part timer in his early twenties who likes an older coworker, a single mother. He goes in cocky, saying he'd make her happy and her child "doesn't matter" to him, but his bubble is quickly burst by the reality of her life, what she needs, and that she probably doesn't even have room in her life for dating. There's only a few chapters out, but it's nice.

Not really. They didn't try to find any kind of answer they didn't already possess. Not one doctor has done an ounce of research for me, none of them have asked any of their colleagues, no one has tried to come up with a new test or treatment. They try like one or two things that I already knew about before I went in because a quick google search told me as much or more than they did and when that doesn't turn up a result they just throw up their hands and give up, as if thats remotely acceptable.

If a highschool dropout with access to google can come up with the same options and then some compared to doctors with 10 years of training and 30 years of experience, what is even the point of employing them?

The doctors try only to the extent that they are legally required to, sometimes less than that, and then they act like they are greatest human beings to ever live.

Pretty sure my ps2 still works but too lazy to find the connections and remember how to actually use it. I might get DQ8 for my 3DS eventually, but I still have another DS or 3DS DQ I have yet to play (might be 6? Can't remember. I just know it's not 9 because I played the fuck out of that.)

If the kid is open minded to hobbies such as anime and video games, thats the only way I could care because they I could convert them to the nerd side.

I did date a single mother. Still married to her a decade later, and my (step)daughters more or less tolerate my existence, especially now that one of them has a kid of her own. But! Dating a single parent is a big leap that not everybody can do.

The PS2s here still work, thankfully, but the 3DS version of DQ8 does have more content. Highly recommended.

And doctors are ... yeah. Just give me my blood pressure meds and try not to charge me too much for the fifteen minutes you can spare me. :-P

Actual mother protagonists in vns is absurdly rare. Only one I can actually think of (that isn't just milf nukige) is Toheart2's sidestory/fandisc/sequel thing.

Damekoi faked you out thinking the main girl was gonna be a milf, but turns out, she completely disappears from the story and the protagonist basically becomes a single dad.

It's REALLY easy to rip your own PS2 games. Any DVD-RW (should be like $10~) should work. Hell, it was the only way I could get some of my more scratched up games (I own 3 copies of Xenosaga 1, all scratched up and unplayable in different segments...) to actually play. Plus it bypassed region lock so it was the only way I could play some imported games.

It's also really easy to get your PC to recognize a PS3/PS4 controller (you have to install something, but then it's treated like a 360 controller from then on out by games).

I don't have a working PS2 but it's still pretty easy to play PS2 games. I feel like most of the good ones have been remade though.
