Yeah they do. I think you see them in episode 3 or 4. They were brand new to the game and wanted to buy weapons. They did not at the time have hammers but I think we see them with hammers in the OP or ED.

The more I watch of the show the more I like it. Kinda sad I'm almost out of eps to watch. It's basically "dumbass breaks the game, the anime". Although to be fair, main girl is actually pretty smart a lot of the times. The devs have to keep patching broken interactions she finds by doing things most people wouldn't think to try (because it seems stupid). It also just makes the game itself seem so fun. So many great sights to see, bosses to fight, players to meet, and just tons of little hidden things to find that make you glad you took the time to look around. This is everything I wish MMOs actually were (except, more balanced).

Dang I keep having more to say right after the edit time is over. Those 2 girls you mentioned become major characters in episode 6 if they are who you are looking for. I'm so sad to be out of eps now. This season looked like it was gonna be kinda crap before it started but it's been one pleasant surprise after another for me so far. Theres even still several interesting titles I haven't started yet. Might save them for when the season ends though.

Princess Connect anime in two months, whee!

For the uninitiated: it's a mobile game made by Cygames (Granblue, Shadowverse, Rage of Bahamut), but unlike them, from the start it had an absolutely huge budget.

It's the sequel to the earlier Princess Connect game, which had a VRMMO plot where whoever did something could have any wish granted by the game admins. The villain won and wished everyone to be isekai'd into the game and have almost everyone's memories wiped. Part 1 of the story, which concluded a few months ago, is basically the main character reassembling his friendharem and fighting the villain of the first game.

I looked pretty hard but couldn't find any video/music track of the insert song from bofuri used during some of the exploring montages. I want to listen to that song but alas I can't find it. Presumably have to wait till the OST releases by which time I'll probably have forgot.

I love that show. Nothing quite like it.

A sell here, but I'll spoiler it away if you want to go in blind as possible. Its genre and conceit: It's a sci-fi, used to push comedy. Has a vibrant art style/aesthetic which is not only fun to see, but juxtaposes amazingly with its dark humor.

It was pretty hilarious. Like come on, they use the internet to make a living, they should know something thats new and has meme status is gonna be popular at first.

Also I had no idea you could make a living on that site, I thought the whole thing was just like chat roulette but more sex focused. Guess I'm outta the loop.

Yeah I really hate the power imbalance of relation/sex dynamics in this world.

I know all we ever hear about is how things arent fair for women but this is one of the things men suffer from and as a side effect women too.

Men were biologically programmed to spread their seed and reproduce so that why so many of us are fuckboys. Women are programmed to nurture so not as many are interested in sex as men. This has made what you would call in the the marketing world as the Law of Supply and Demand. It means that not only do women have greater range of choice and can pick a partner out of their league but can exploit desperate mens wallets for sexual services.

I know dating is annoyingly hard for me, all the cute nerdy girls in my league are shooting for better looking guys...as if it wasnt already hard for me to emerge from my cave. My male nerdy friends are almost all wizards with no social skills whom I am afraid if even they did have them they would be having a worse off time then I am.

On the women's side it isnt all sunshine and rainbows though. While many of us nerds struggle to get laid and would think the world of getting a sexually explicit message, lots of normal women just looking for the one are tired of these messages. It is all they get all the time, no one wants to seriously date them.

Of course theres a solution to both sides which is to settle and pick out someone below your league. But this options defies the human psyche. We always want more as humans and doubt becomes forerunner of your mind. "Will I always be satisfied with this relationship or will it become a disaster as I yearn for more?"

Nah, I'm sure in the beginning it wasn't normal to make money on that site. But setting up something for donations outside of sites is a lot easier to do now. That site could have incorporated something like tips or coins or whatever other kind of currency gets used.

Watched the 6 eps of darwins game that are out. It's pretty ok. I enjoy the death/survival game genre. Darwin's game isn't the best or the worst. If you like the genre, you'll probably like the anime, if you don't, I doubt it'll change your mind.

Also no way in hell is the season possibly gonna wrap up the story. I'll kinda sad if it goes the way of btoom and we only get 1 season with no conclusion.

I think the manga may be more enjoyable, because the art is really good, and the translator takes a few liberties. Like one character's lie detecting sigil was dubbed "Bullshit Detector." And one scene where it's used, there's a little "Bullshit Detected" caption above their head.

It's very likely, unfortunately. The manga isn't close to ending even now.

I've mostly stuck with shounen and seinen titles for most of my manga reading history, and only checking out some shoujo series if they were of the "reincarnated into the villainess of an otome game" type, but I gotta say

I mentioned it before, but that's one problem with manga that anime usually doesn't have to deal with. You'll find a lot of manga that haven't been updated since 2015, and that's just the end of the road for you.

I read one where it was dropped, then much later, at least months, it was picked up by someone else. Then it was dropped again for longer and picked back up again.

@dragon504 You probably aren't interested in playing a 100% JP game but princess connect is having a gigantic free roll period during 2x ssr rates cuz 2nd anniversary, and most of the superstrong limiteds are in the gacha pool, so if you were ever curious about it, it's a good time to start

Thanks for the heads up, but yeah, I'm not gonna play a game where I can't read anything. Just gotta stick with Granblue for my gacha needs. Though, they've been adding way too many good themed limiteds for my taste. I do have all current flash grands and I'm up to 3/6 zodiacs (anila, andira, and vikala). Plan to spark chicken and dog this year. Sitting at 209 draws and hoping I can spark one next month.

I'd actually give Priconne a chance if I could just play it like Granblue, via going to a site and using my mobage account. I do appreciate the info though, thanks.

It was only after playing priconne that I realized, hey, I actually know more Japanese than I thought I did. Not that I can understand everything, but with context, I can pretty much always at least know what's going on. It's been pretty cool.

...my level of understanding differs per character, though. One of them's an idiot and I understand everything she says just fine, because all her sentences are direct. Another one talks in long, winding sentences and is canonically probably one of the older characters in the entire game (so.... 30~), and I find myself looking up a lot of kanji..

A kanji dictionary is a good investment if you are comfortable with basic Japanese.

Looking up the right kanji is a pain in the ass, though.

I just type out how it sounds in IME then pick the right one. I have no where near the required knowledge to find kanji any other way.

I remember one time I tried to learn japanese I used an image to text program and hooked a text hooker into it to translate whatever kanji I dragged the translation square over. I'm sure something like that can still work if the font is something fairly normal.

Also got an MRI today. Reacted poorly to the contrast. Was a miserable experience. Almost went in to the ER yesterday cause I couldn't stop shaking. I'm still losing weight, down to 143 lbs. Not sure what to do. I feel like it'll be years before the doctors actually move their ass and I'll be 100 lbs in like 3-4 months at this rate (assuming I don't just die before then). Doctors are all scum of the earth. I hate them so much. They just actually don't care if I live or die outside of liability.

Now I know you have been having some bad medical issues but I dont think this is a fair shake for doctors. They do what they can and cant work miracles. You have to realize Doctors out of everyone in the world are the ones who see the most death and sadness because its what they see all the time. A lot have probably become numb to it because doctors who care that much would have been driven crazy by all the pain they have to see people go through.

I know its not easy to be positive for you because you have been in pain for so long.
But the stress will deteriorate your mental state, its hard but try to create some positive mental energy!
