So Big Ben is definitely retiring, I think Brees is likely done too regardless of what happens, and I give Rivers 50/50 odds at this point. Maybe it's finally time for that changing of the guard that's been talked about.

Switching to diet pop when I went on a diet helped a lot, and it's stuck with me even now. I tried regular coke after a while of drinking diet and zero and it felt too sweet to me.

I don't think I could ever drop it completely though. Most people will say that carbonated water or club soda are fine alternatives if you're looking for a carbonated option, but I found that they didn't have the same 'mouthfeel', for lack of a better term. It just felt weird to drink them and so I don't think it's as simple as switching over.

I applaud Twitch because Gootecks should go away forever, but you're still going to see his face in 100% of the top channels because of how many variations there are.

For me, God Of War and TLOU2 from TGA lists are at minimum on par with my favourite of what Gamefaqs has picked over the last 5 years, but overall I appreciate more of the games from the Gamefaqs list. It's a higher highs and lower lows situation.

FF7 > RE2 > Smash > BotW > FFXV

If I included the above two games it'd be:

TLOU2 > FF7 > God of War > RE2 > Smash > BotW > FFXV

Yeah, this is the same for me, although I try to limit it to one multiplayer game at a time.

My friends and I have been on a Fall Guys, Apex, Rocket League cycle that we switch between whenever we get bored of a game.

In terms of single player, I do it both for the muscle memory thing, and also because it has helped me tremendously when it comes to actually finishing games and clearing my backlog. When I was young, I'd play half a dozen games at once and never actually finish them. Now, I either beat or drop a game before moving on to the next one.

Does the NHL just not have an all in one streaming option like gamepass with the NFL?

I'm trying to buy whatever service they're offering for this last month I'm in Europe before I head back to Canada, and even googling it doesn't make it clear. On their actual website I can subscribe for an offseason pass that lets me watch the playoffs, meanwhile the season starts in like 8 days and there's no option for that.

I went from not even wanting to be in the same room as an onion up to being a teenager and now I love them and will put them in almost anything that I cook. I'm not a huge fan of raw onions but in small quantities I'm fine with them in a salad or on a burger.

I can't even imagine a scenario where only one side of the bread is toasted, but if that were the case I would put the toasted, or 'harder' side of the bread on the outside of the sandwich.

I'm struggling to decide whether I define fan as 'someone who enjoys the games' or 'someone who cares about the series and will participate in the community'.

For the former, Assassin's Creed is the one that comes to mind. I played all of them up to Syndicate, but have no interest in playing any of them again despite knowing that the series has kind of turned a corner and that the new games are considered pretty good.

For the latter, Pokemon and Fire Emblem both come to mind. I play all the Pokemon games and enjoy them, but don't care at all about any of the extra stuff that comes with it and don't participate in any online stuff. I just complete every new game, update my living dex, and then move on until there are new Pokemon to catch.

For Fire Emblem, I usually play any new game that comes out, but I honestly couldn't tell you much about it and don't particularly care for completing every optional conversation or story part of whatever. I just like the genre of game and it's a pretty approachable one of those.

I'd actually be hyped if Stafford went to the Pats. Competent coaching and a potential competent defense could do him wonders. Issue is they have no skill players so I'm not sure any QB would move the needle all that much until they revamp the entire offense, other than the OL and RB positions.

I feel like the gap between this Bucs team and the WFT is smaller than the gap between something like the 07 Pats and 07 Giants. Brady is 1-3 lifetime against the NFC East in the playoffs, I wouldn't just assume that next week is a W.

None of that has any real correlation of course but I'm choosing to use it to mean that Brady will lose.
