My memories.

I've worked hard to get to where I am. I've earned everything that I now have today, that I've accumulated, that I fought tooth and nail for. And you're telling me that, just like that, they're gone? Sure, in my head, and in the record books, everything I've done is still there, but sometimes those physical reminders are there to help, and to be a constant reminder.

It's not easy being Champion, feeling like you've got the company on your shoulders, especially when there are those out there that would like to see nothing more than for you to fail, to falter. These physical reminders are there for the days when it gets tough, when it's hard to go out there and put on the face of the top guy.

And they're gone.

Before RUIN, my sanctum was vandalized, but it's more than that. I didn't know how to respond, and, to be honest, I still don't know what to think, or how to process these emotions. Is it anger? Do I want to lash out? Should I do the right thing? It doesn't really matter, does it?

I didn't have a match on RUIN, but I had a brother who continues to be by my side that I sought to protect, and I couldn't do that. Physically, I was present, as always, but mentally, I wasn't focused enough to stop Sultan from being put through multiple tables.

I've been beaten, attacked, and blindsided both during my time here and during my Undisputed Championship reign, and I've emerged on the other end as strong as ever. I've never faced something like this, and I'd be lying if I told you it's something that I can just brush off as I continue to do my job.

I said I was strong, stronger than what happened before RUIN, and I truly believe that. This is still my title, I am still the Champion, and I've got a match to focus on right now.

Abby was getting put on the spot a lot, at first, to be funny, and that's a surefire way to not be funny (but you kinda do have to do it to a new person, and get it over with, to get them fully integrated). She's rad now.

It seems like the playdate stuff plays more to her strengths. In the few pre-E3 podcasts I've listened to with her, it kind of seemed like she was out of her depth with a lot of what everyone else was talking about, and I think it suffered because of it. I kind of got that Jason vibe where she would just say "yeah" to everything that was being brought up with no way to contribute.

I'm glad to hear that she's found her footing though.

haven't played this version yet (no PS4, though i'm thinking about getting one now) but at least in PS2 IZJS, Dustia was still possible. unfortunately Zodiac Spear couldn't be obtained very early and it also took forever to get, either from a 1% chest or hunting the trophy rares all across the world.

That's unfortunate. It was always fun attempting to run through late game areas so early in the game. It kind of breaks the game when you do it but I've always enjoyed being extremely over leveled and powerful in games.

I'm so excited to play this, but I've got a backlog to get through and I'm going on vacation at the end of the month and don't want to rush through it so I probably won't pick it up for a couple of months.

What else has changed other than the Job system?

My favourite playthrough of the original was when I farmed Dustia very early on and became overpowered for the rest of the game. I remember running through all the maps to get the Zodiac Spear very early into the game. Hopefully that's all still possible.

I was skeptical of Bakalar when the Beastcast first started, mostly because it's always tough to be introduced to new people in that setting, but since then he might actually be my favourite part of it. I feel like our interests align on a lot of things and a lot of what he says is close to what I'm thinking when I'm listening.

Something like a mix between Rollins and Balor, maybe like an Edge? Not the biggest guy on the roster, but enough that I look like I belong.

I'm more of a trunks and boots guy than the pants or shorts.

Moveset can be any amalgamation of those I mentioned, I don't really have anything specific in mind but I like all of their styles.

Orton's powerslam is one of my favourite moves, if you want to incorporate that.

43. Beat another user's favorite game

Life is Strange

Man, this made me feel. I've had a weird journey with this game. I originally watched the first episode being played by Giantbomb, and, some time later, decided I probably would never get around to it and ended up reading a plot summary.

A while later, Robazoid got me re-interested in it with his write-up in his top games project. With it being free last month on PS Plus, I decided to give it a shot.

There were a few major plot points I remembered from the summary I read, but even then, seeing them play out still had an impact. Things like Kate dying in my game had me actually upset and wanting to go back and replay the episode, but I didn't. In the final episode, I found the nightmare sequence to not be very enjoyable, but the end of it with walking through Max's memories with Chloe was a nice touch.

In terms of the final choice, I chose to sacrifice Chloe. Going into it, I knew what my two choices were, and I always knew this is what I would choose. However, when I realized that I'd be going back in time and having it so Chloe and Max never got to experience the past week, it definitely hit hard. I almost went the other way based on that alone.

Overall, a great experience. Similar to TWD Season 1, though, I almost dreaded playing it out because of the emotions. That isn't a negative, however, and I'm glad I experienced it on my own.

I am merely one man, CPU. If your goal is to blame one man for the problems on an entire federation, then so be it. Your words are meaningless, just as your solution and your entire federation. I'm not interested in visiting SSW, or any other company for that matter. The UCA is my home, and as its champion it's the only place I want to be.
