Hundreds and thousands of people don't have direct access to him every single day like they do. Family, aides and staff, and so on absolutely bare some responsibility because they not only did nothing to stop him, but instead did the opposite and further endorsed what he was doing.

In the US, you can be found liable as well if you knew of a crime and did nothing. For instance, if you have a brother and your brother tells you he's going to go stab your neighbor to death, and you don't report it or warn the neighbor or anything and then he stabs the neighbor to death, you'll likely also get charged with a crime.

You're not completely wrong. Poggers technically is the pepe version, but people use "pog" and "poggers" interchangeably to refer to anything following that meme in general.

Any one of them could have stepped up and went "You lost, Donald" and spoke out against his delusions. Instead, they supported them.

Okay but they didn't just question the result, they outright knowingly spread false information and encouraged people to "fight" for Donald. They also fundraised off of that false information. They encouraged people and riled them up just like he did.

And, again, the difference between his family/those in his circle and the thousands of others is that they have direct daily contact with him. That means something, when it comes to the law.

Spreading false information is basically America's favorite past time at this point though. At that point we might as well just finish the Mexico wall, make another one along the Canadian border and rename The US "Prisonland", cause no one's innocent there.

People don't care about factual information anymore, they only care about winning the argument. I don't know, to me it seems you want them all to be punished because you just really don't like them. Like what they done and said is morally wrong and there should be consequences for being so morally wrong. But that just can't be accepted in a democratic society. You may be the worst and most slimy selfserving bastard in the history of the earth, but unless you've explicitly broken laws you're safe. You have to be safe. Otherwise you'll end up with populism or mob rule, and that never ends well.

One ever so minor bright sliver coming out of today is that this is absolutely the most defeated thedonald has ever been. The build up over the past month was insane and they thought they really were going to war over this. Now that the whole thing is fizzled and it delayed things a matter of hours, the DESPAIR is just wonderful.

I don't think the GOP can count on their votes in 2022. The tenuous alliance is over from the looks of things.
