I watched the game on Twitch last night because the delay was significantly less than what I get with Game Pass. I consistently get spoiled from the group chat every Sunday because I'm so far behind for some reason.

Went to Christmas Eve dinner with my girlfriend's family last night, (currently in the Azores so covid isn't really a big thing), and had a very traditional Portuguese dinner, which included a lot of codfish, chicken, and rabbit, along with the customary sides.

I opted to make a massive pot of penne a la vodka because I'm sick of Portuguese food at this point, and mostly just ate that, and because there was so much food, there was more than enough left to eat it multiple times today as well.

I was already projected to win by 20 before games were played today. I had the best draft of my life and ended up with a team that was way better than almost everyone else's in this league, and got the first round bye. My opponent here also clinched the first round bye, but then got hit with a bunch of injuries and got lucky last week where his opponent laid an egg. I'm now projected to win by 50.

We were talking about communities, not critics. Also Uncharted in general, I thought, not just UC4, though there are plenty of other places Pokemon Sun/Moon would beat UC4 if we are, like Tumblr, Twitter, etc.

I could be wrong but I think "reader's choice" is more talking about communities, where it did dominate compared to other games, as opposed to the critics who voted it evenly with Overwatch.

I'm not entirely sure where a community like gamefaqs would fall under with those categories but I don't think it'd be considered a media outlet.

I dont see how you can claim GameFAQs has a significant Nintendo bias these days. Look at the list andylt posted, Nintendo have won two of the past five, and both of those are pretty understandable winners. If theres a bias its an RPG bias. Most industry awards are pretty genre-biased anyway.

Nintendo continues to dominate contests even when its a much weaker Nintendo game/character going against a big Western game/character, in terms of popularity. Nathan Drake or Uncharted is going to do much better almost anywhere else on the internet than they do here, for example.

Gamefaqs has too much of a Nintendo bias for me to consider it the objective 'best' site. You can find aggregate sites out there that will take every publication and fan vote for GOTY and compile them together, which will get you an overall look at how journalists and the communities around the internet cast their votes.

gameawards dot net is a good site for that.

TGA, while many dislike it, does use a jury of votes from multiple different publications to choose their awards, which overall seems more reputable than any one site or person giving an award out.

I loved it but was initially kind of iffy on the ending. I was planning on immediately jumping back in for a platinum playthrough, but didn't really have the desire to after finishing it.

The big parts I didn't like ended up growing on me over time though and by the time I finished my hard playthrough many months later I was all in.

It's a close #2 on my GOTY list, behind TLOU2.

I played exactly 100 hours this year, which is nearly three times as much as the 34 total hours I played last year. I essentially bought a Switch for Odyssey and Mario Maker 2 and nothing has really grabbed me since that.

I essentially only played Pokemon, Tropical Freeze, and Three Houses this year, with a sprinkling of Mario Kart. My 5th most played game was Pokemon Home. I only play first party Nintendo stuff on the console and would rather play multiplatform games anywhere else.

I just spent $1000 on a TV a couple days ago that I don't necessarily need, but I've convinced myself it will be relevant for the entire console generation, despite not actually owning a next gen console yet. So maybe that.

More likely it's the thousands of cumulative dollars I've spent on comics and/or yugioh cards over the last ten years that are sitting in my closet in boxes.

The Browns winning the division, the Steelers finishing 11-5, and the Ravens missing the playoffs would be hilarious.

It's now easier than ever too with the Steelers being bad. If the Colts and Browns both win their last two games, which include the Steelers, the Ravens are out even if they also win out.

Yeah I think every provider does have plans with data caps, but the option is there if you pay enough to not have them, where for many in the US I believe they don't have the option at all.
