Oh shit we're still here.

I've been listening to a lot of emo and screamo lately, and I disocvered the band Policy of 3.

I knew with a song title of "nine years old" this was going to be some deep shit. Man...this song is about a kid minding his own business when some bullies come to drown him in water and threaten him with a knife. When that is over he runs home to his mom to tell her what happened, and instead of love, she beats him for being somewhere he shouldn't have been. So, he has to live with that lack of love and how it changed and hurt him forever.

its the kind of shit like people actually having discussion about Madden team/player ratings as if they are relevant at all.

Sure, EA has the NFL license, and the alternative is not playing a current gen NFL game, but the alternative also means having morals and not supporting unabashed trash.

Plus, there is nothing at all wrong with 2000s maddens of NFL 2k5 people love, and other games.

This is a picture list of all signers of modern small-size US currency. I know it looks strange having the heading at the bottom, but because of a lack of planning ahead on my part, I didn't include space at the top. I just decided to roll with it. If you think I should re-do it so the heading is at the top you can let me know, but its a known issue I was just too lazy to fix in the moment.

I guess photo editing, but I don't know what to call it. Basically, I want to take a bunch of smaller images and add them into one. For example, this data here

http://www.uspapermoney.info/sign/

I want to basically take all of the signatures and turn them into one JPG with each little box stacked, kind of like an easy to read "guide"

The text in there(terms of office) doesn't matter much, but I am clueless. How would I take all 50ish signature images and combine them on top of each other into a large JPG file? Is this making sense?

For what its worth I am using GIMP.

you all know what this is. if you have to wear a mask for a ton of time they end up smelling like shit.

Nasal snuff can take that odor away....or at least your ability to smell it.

I have this one from germany that is tobacco-free that smells light and sweet and aromatic. It's called Bernard's Magic Moments.

https://www.mrsnuff.com/collections/bernards-snuff-non-tobacco/products/bernard-magic-moments-white-10g

It smells way better than body odor. Like, if somebody just straight up shits their pants in an elevator Bernard has you covered.

I don't care about sentimental stuff personally. I'd be just as happy with a new one rather than get this one fixed. Though that is not me acting like if it didnt get fixed she needs to buy a new one. I am grateful for the fact she gave me this watch and got it working again. Everybody is different in regards to sentimental stuff. I don't think he wore it all that often as it was discovered in box looking brand new, like it had never been worn. But maybe the sentimentality of it all was the main driving factor, I just can't say for certain it was.

I feel like what it is, she was trying to do something nice for me, which I definitely respect. But if you take my car out to get an oil change to be nice but spend 4x the value of the car doing so, I can't help but want to let you know softly that was a mistake.

This might sound silly, but let me explain.

So, a few months ago my mom found one of her father's watches he bought on a cruise ship in the 70s or 80s. It looks very nice, and I like how it looks for sure. She said I could have it.

When replacing the battery she must have done something to it and it wouldn't work so she said she would get it fixed.

Thinking nothing of it I say "okay cool thanks" thinking it'd cost like 50-100 dollars and i'd pay her back.

No, to get this watch fixed it cost $380, making it by far the "most expensive" watch I own by a good margin. So expensive, I don't even want to wear it for fear I'll scratch it or ding it.

On the plus side it should work very well for decades to come, and it literally looks brand new as if it was just bought.

However, seeing as I can just buy a brand new working one on ebay right this second for $100, I just can't help but be mad at how dumb of a decision this was without even consulting me.
https://preview.tinyurl.com/ybfjzqj4

So, I should be grateful she did get it fixed, and she will not ask me to pay her back. But I feel like while we aren't poor, there's a million other things to spend $380 on. If she had told me the price before she did it I would have said no thanks, don't bother.

I just can't help but be upset even though I should be grateful she got it fixed. I just....don't even want to wear it ever again as a result of the costs.

This sounds dumb, but I just can't get over what a colossal waste of money this was. I should be happy, but I can't.

I don't know if I tell her how I feel or just suck it up and be happy?

When it comes to pop punk I am a fan of certain bands. I always like to go back to the OGs of the genre, like the Descendents. Their discography is hit or miss in some ways but their first album, Milo Goes to College is an unquestioned classic.

Somebody once described the opening to "jean is dead" as the punk answer to Sweet Child of Mine, and I guess I can't complain

35% silver. worth like a buck.

anyways, this here is a 1943 P war nickel. These were made during WWII from 1942-1945, with 1942 being a partial year. To determine if it is one, there will always be an overbearingly large mintmark of P, D or S above Monticello.

They made hundreds of millions of war nickels so they arent rare on the collector market. I personally have 12, all hunting finds, so in circulation they are rare. Can be sold for like $2-3 and a bare minimum silver content which today is $1.05.

Actually somebody found this coin today and gave it to me. Straight out tha mothafucking drawer.

Don't just wait to see how this other thing of hers pans out. Now is the time to suggest that the two of you go out, but "just as friends." She's probably not serious about this previous boyfriend. She's more than likely bored and he's a known, comfortable alternative to being alone. But there's a reason shit didn't work out for them the first time. Her taking it slow with him sounds like there are trust issues with him.

You obviously have no intention of just being friends when you go out. But saying it's just friends hanging out gives her the opportunity to justify it to herself and say yes. Be smooth, show her a great time and make her forget about that chump of an ex that she isn't even serious about. At the end of that first date it should be clear whether there's a chance to go further. If there isn't, then leave it alone and look elsewhere.

I don't know much but i guess they were living together and argued a lot towards the end of it so the girl moved in with her sister.

Im definitely going to act cool and shit though around her still in case that goes south. I don't know about asking her to hang out 1 on 1 without the context of dating only because i know her sister and her husband well so including them would be natural and the default.

Though we both like taking photos so perhaps i could see if she would want. To do that

I am going to revive this topic to talk about one of the most powerful music acts i've ever heard, the screamo band Saetia.

This band mixes frantic with slow and smooth very well. This is for fans of intense screaming. This is music that definitely comes from the heart, but in some places it sounds awkward, which is fine. Pure displays of emotion sometimes can. They weren't around for very long, but A Retrospective brings together all 17 tracks the band wrote plus some live tracks. This is really powerful stuff. I feel like a band like this may have had a huge hand in influencing a lot of 00s bands with really awful rough/clean vocals here. A lot of bands do that and it seems forced. Nothing here seems forced at all. Definitely a listen if you enjoy chaotic, but also some tender moments within. I actually discovered this band when I was like 27/28 years old, so this isn't something teenage me loved that might not hold up as an adult. As an adult this band captivated me in ways others cannot.

Nobody has any justification for why they needed a knee on his neck for 8 minutes. You can try and argue things like Floyd being high or having pre existing conditions accelerating his death all you want, but where is the justification for that type of hold in the first place? Why keep at it when blood is pouring out of his nose and he stops moving? If you verify he has no weapons, why even care that he "could become violent all of a sudden" as a result of drugs, when you have plenty of officers to step in if that were to happen.

I do feel for the one officer who apparently was on his 4th day on the force. He tried to help, but was also taking cues from Chauvin, his superior and a veteran of 19 years. But otherwise? No. I don't feel for anybody else really.

Friends sister in law who I see a few times a month when I am over his house as she lives there.

She said she was seeing a previous boyfriend and was taking it slow. However at the same time she did say she also thought I was a cool and interesting person, and asked me how long I've been thinking like this. I said a couple of months, then she asked me why I waited so long and I just said I realized a good moment to ask wouldn't just come up if I didnt make one myself.

So, the way I am taking this is that while she is in something of a relationship the general idea didn't repulse her and if this was a couple of months prior she might have said yes. So while I am backing off I kinda feel like she didn't entirely discount the idea. But I don't plan on being awkward or a creep so that doesn't mean much, but maybe down the line if she is single again I might have something, but I won't be the kind of guy to swoop in as soon as she's single cause that is whack.

Oh well, can't win em all. But I feel much better for having asked.

The job of a dictionary is to document words as they are used. Which is why any dictionary that acts as one will have the normal definition of literally(as in, 100% factual) and the more modern usage where its just used in situations not 100% factual(Say, "my car broke down and I literally had to walk 500 miles to the nearest gas station")

So, if irregardless is being used a certain way, it is the duty and responsibility of Merriam Webster to record it.
