I don't really see a problem with any of this outside of it being a news story.

I feel she isn't obligated to stick by him because of his condition and leaving to protect their mental health is valid. I would even say this if they were married.

I don't even feel like running a marathon in his honor is a bad thing. Maybe she can't mentally handle taking care of him but wanted to raise awareness for his condition and if this were in the US it would also serve as a function to raise money to help pay for medical treatments.

The fact this is a news story is kinda out there, but otherwise I don't actually see what the big deal is. The root of it is, nobody is obligated to stick by somebody because their mental health is taking a nose dive. I can't blame somebody for wanting out.

Yeah, so while the AI in duelist of the roses is dumb sometimes, I'll take that over AI thats too good. Also in order to unlock some things in Roses you need a ps1 memory card with some Forbidden Memories saves on it. I think that may just be extra people to duel in custom duel but being on an emulator I can't accomplish that or if I can I know it isn't going to be worth the hassle. If any cards are gained that way I will just input passcodes.

I have heard of that. I kind of want to try it out but I have so much invested already in the normal game I may consider it later.

Faster leveling is cool because even using a workaround to get lots of XP in short order it still isn't super quick. New enemy decks and fields could also be neat.

One thing I love and hate is how incompetent the AI is. When I am grinding for cards I love it because it makes it easier but overall I kinda wish the AI gave more of a challenge. Like, I play warriors and beast warriors, just like Richard Slysheen of York. I can beat him in like 3 turns because even though the AI should know I get movement bonus on fields, his deck leader never moves unless I am right next to it, so I can hit him for free a couple of times with my movement bonus. Come to think of it, this actually makes collecting cards harder because when I kill 'em so quickly they don't play too many cards to appear in the slots, and hanging back and letting him go for a little, playing more cards, is way less fun than an actual match would be.

I've got 34% of the cards. I have beat the game and can steamroll almost anybody but my total card count is lacking. 853 cards total, so I have a ways to go. There is one I might need to enter a password for as I don't think I can get it otherwise, but yeah. The real pain in the ass isn't going to be acquiring every random useless card from the enemies, it's going to be lining up the slot machine reels. I have a deck leader that give me 3 lines to play and even so I've only hit it like 5 times ever in 200ish matches, and some cards I think can only be acquired this way.

This sounds pointless because I can just type in codes, and I have beaten the game, but I just feel compelled.

I do not own my own business but I am the GM of a store. If a complaint is made to me, well, I don't care, generally(I've never gotten a complaint but if I did I would look inward, but generally I wouldn't care, because there is a great chance it is a lie or an exaggeration. These cockamamie
schemes hardly ever come to fruition, and I really am not an ass. I am friendly to just about everybody). If somebody calls corporate(I work for a state run liquor store so customer complaints aren't like they would be at a Wal-Mart), for a one off, i don't think anything would happen but a "stern" warning from my DM.

I was annoyed and PO(heh)'d when it happened but I kinda had that comical pissed off energy, like a cowboy throwing his hat on the ground when somebody gets one over on him.

Most of the time I do not entertain people before the store opens. This time I did because of the knock. The real thing here is the knock. I feel like that's kind of entitled and rude, but IF the customer did not know we opened at 11 and assumed 9 like a lot of my other locations it makes a little sense because they'd be wondering why the door is locked two hours past opening.

For sure if my store is closed I will not entertain a knock unless one of my employees needs back in, because there is zero chance it is anybody from my business. The other side of it is, I am a nice guy, and if somebody is walking up I don't shut the door in their face, remind them they need in and out in a minute and then lock the door so nobody else gets in, and then I let them out when done.

I don't really need to calm down. This is a comical story from my POV now.

Like, harmless, but I was just left fuming like a motherfucker.

It's 10:59 and 25 seconds, and a person pulls on my door handle, which was locked. I open at 11 today, and generally at_11_. The customer them proceeds to knock on the door, like it's a house and the dang door bell didn't work.

I should have waited the 30 seconds until actually 11, for you see, my watch is radio synced with NIST, giving me the actual, literal time. But I did open the door, and the customer goes "Are you open? Your clock says 11"

I said "uhh, yeah" and let them in. I was too dumbfounded because I never look at that clock, so I didn't even realize what clock she meant, and I had no idea you could see it from the outside. But man was I so fuckin' mad afterwords. I should have not answered the door until actual 11AM, or better yet held my arm out, standing in silence for 30 seconds until the hourly chime on my watch goes off, only to then be like "Well howdy ma'am, yes we are! Thanks for stoppin' by, let me know if you need anything!"

Wal-Marts all across the country have had various Casio watches on clearance for the past few months. Not every Wal-Mart seem to have the same clearances, so it's hit or miss when you go but I have acquired probably close to 20 new Casio watches since at cheap prices, the highest being $15. A lot of these I don't care for that much, but my favorite digital watch complication is the hourly chime, so the prices are low enough to just simply add more hourly chimes to the rotation. I now have close to 30 going off at once.

I was at a rural Wal-Mart the other day and I saw something I have since fell in love with but had no idea I even wanted.

One of the most desirable Casio watches out right now is the F-91W.

https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.pjuTUvbrHAy3_uOcmzScoQHaE5?pid=ImgDet&rs=1

That is the OG colorway. This watch has kind of become a meme in the community, but I never cared for it, until I saw this beauty for just $5(down from 21).

https://i.redd.it/09kxhakty0x41.jpg

Not my wrist, but it is the same watch.

I kind get it now. After owning this one I have become a fan of the looks. It's super lightweight and has all the basic features you'd want in a digital watch. I also actually never knew it had a backlight. It's the worst backlight I have ever used, but it has one. Ultimately it's lightweight, durable, cheap(prices are creeping up and it IS now a meme so prices will continue to rise. The original price of $21 would have turned me off of buying it even if I would spend that after owning it, and stylish in kind of a dorky way.

So, I finally own one. And I get it! I love it so much I haven't taken it off hardly since I got it 3 days ago.

Well, it ain't a Grand Seiko Spring Drive, but i'll take it!

She isn't owed a $140 tip, but I understand her complaints because they stuck around for hours after, reducing her further tip potential by them occupying a table. This is something a lot of people, especially people not used to tipping may not understand. But in a restaurant this kinda thing happens, it's just a part of the job. But I can't fault somebody for complaining.

I personally don't mind tipping culture, because it means a lot of servers can make way more than what a living wage would be if tipping was banned and restaurants were tasked with paying a "living wage". Though that is my opinion, I have not backed it up with research.

When I go out to eat, if the service sucks(server wise mainly), I will tip the bare minimum or even not at all. But that is extremely rare and I've only had to pull that move out once. But otherwise it's whatever the heck I feel like in the moment, which, since I like tipping is at minimum 25%, sometimes 50% or more. Now, I don't expect people to tip like that, I just do it because I know people who work in restaurants, and I kinda feel like making somebodies day.

So I get people who don't like tipping. I personally like tipping because I feel in most cases it benefits the worker more than no tips and "living wage" paid out by employers would, though I could be wrong.

THE POST

"Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicatewe can not consecratewe can not hallowthis ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before usthat from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotionthat we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vainthat this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedomand that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

$80 for a record? Man, I havent bought vinyl in a while but even for a limited edition 2LP record that sounds like a lot, but prices for vinyl have been going up lately.

I remember when I first started collecting records around 2006, a lot of punk and punk subgenre bands put their stuff out in vinyl with almost no fanfare and whatever the album was, the most you'd pay would be like $20. But times have changed.

https://interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=200755

Now, this is a legendary album by a legendary band, and it is a 2LP, but I am pretty sure I own this and probably paid $20 bucks back in the day. I would not pay $44 for it, even if it is legendary as i own it digitally.

But all rambling aside if youre happy, cool!
