Ah well.

I like the self awareness. My favorite being the guy in Narshe who says to not steal his stuff but if you do its okay.

Well, what happens is a guy says he has some important info to find treasure. You pay him 100,000 dollars for it. In this mod of the game BTB added in the guy saying "Now go and reset your game so you can get this info for free" and in that moment I decided to keep it as is because the self awareness was too real.

I felt called out, and it worked!

@BTB

I love how you have these self aware jokes in BNW. So when the guy said I can reset my game to get that info for free, I said to myself "fuck it, i'm over leveling and have half a million GP he can have it!"

Though I did not realize the conversation restarts if you talk to him again so I might have paid his ass twice.

One, possibly, though it was ages ago. When I was a teen I was "edgy" online so I think I took a pic of my dick and uploaded it to a CE user chat on AIM or somewhere off site. Now, I was oblivious to what a bad idea that could have been before, cause i recall I was no older than like 15.

Funny enough, I did it as an edgy joke, but one user, can't recall their name anymore, messages me after it all went down "hey, uhhh, you still got that pic?"

I mean, nothing bad directly happened but how weird and bizarre. I didn't know what I was doing, just being an edgy teen.

Okay so rap core is alright to a degree. I don't hate it but it doesnt get me going like other things. And i've also never heard of Integrity but I will give them a shot. As stated I am no expert and there is like literally 5,000 bands I need to check out still on this musical journey. Rare that I haven't heard of a band outright though, but I welcome it.

I've heard Man in the Bastard before but I will probably have to re evaluate. When it comes to Powerviolence, I love Charles Bronson and Infest is also super awesome. There really is something about these 20 songs in 12 minutes type of bands that I really dig.

For Charles Bronson they have every song ever on a compilation called "complete discocrappy" but not all of that is good or worth checking out. I'd straight up just go with their only actual full length, Youth Attack! They use a lot of movie/show/whatever clips to begin or end their songs, often to hilarious effect. Really does the name "Youth Attack!" proud

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oN0LZtfce4

As far as Infest goes...I don't know, but both of their LPs are killer. Slave and No Man's Slave...but they also killed it live too

I'll be being more active here later, but speaking of the exploited I find it hilarious enough a band can release an album in 1981 called "Punk's Not Dead"

Thats cool you guys covered bad brains. They're one of my all time favorites. If their only good album was their first theyd still be legendary but they have more and their first funk metalish album(i against i) is pretty rockin.

I've always been more into punk than metal but i do respect metal. When it comes to really harsh stuff i prefer stuff on the punk side like powerviolence though im going to be checking out those links. I have listened to coalesce before and they were good. I like the song Bob Junior. And nice time changes/transitions/ whatever i am not musically inclined/ make me happy.

I've made this topic before. THE topic for discussing punk music of all kinds. I put hardcore in the title because the classics from the 80s are some of my favorites, but, shit, you might like Television, or, like The Minutemen, or X, or whatever. Anything loosely fitting under the punk banner is allowed, though I am not really going to be a stickler.

Anyways, this topic is going to be kicked off with my favorite song by one of my favorite bands, Bad Brains. That song is Pay to Cum, which has one of the most furious vocal deliveries I have ever heard:

There are several versions of this song, such as this one from the compilation album Black Dots, which is still good but not as ferocious and you can kinda figure out the lyrics somewhat but my favorite is from their first studio album

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZsKufs8jMA

Now, one thing about it is there are like 5,000 more bands I need to check out. I have a lot of music I like, but I tend to dip into various punk subgenres with a few bands but never was one of those people to listen to absolutely everything. So...what I consider to be the best or to be classic in my mind is, but still about 5,000 bands I need to check out.

Here is the Black Dots version of Pay to Cum....I don't like it quite as much but its still a ripper

I own most albums I consider classic at the moment and a lot of other goodies, so I can't complain.

However I wouldnt mind buying a sauce as hot as Insanity with actual flavor. Insanity Sauce is kinda flavorless which is a bummer.

I took a piece of ghost pepper cheese(ghost peppers themselves have around 800-1 million scoville units. the cheese probably less but it packs a nice overall heat that isn't debilitating but you definitely feel it)

And then I threw on a large dollop of daves insanity sauce. This stuff has around 180,000 scoville units.

So like this was intense. It was perfectly manageable until I inhaled wrong and sent burning fire down my throat.

But yeah, I'm learning that super hot shit, not that i've ever been to the upper echelon of heat(yet), isn' super difficult to take. I'm learning.

So a few weeks ago I told somebody at work I thought that I worked the hardest at work. I explained why I felt that way to them and didn't think anything of it. However, now that I've been thinking because of what i'll explain below, that sounds to me like I came off as a douche.

So today another coworker mentioned the fact I said that, which took me by surprise because I never said it to them. Anyways it was like a 30 second conversation and I didn't explain myself properly. Regardless of my reasoning(which I feel is valid to a degree), I feel like if this gets brought up again I should explain myself but also mention what a shitty thing it was for me to say. But I don't feel like I need to clarify or bring it up sgain on my own, but if I am confronted again I will actually take time to explain myself, and apologize because it was stupid of me to say that.

However, what I can do is actually work harder. Not in a competitive way. I just want to grow as an employee and not do it for any reason other than being a good person and self growth. If somebody takes issue with the fact I said what I said, it only serves me right to step it up on my end and factually do more things at work.

This possible blunder will make me a better employee.

The show encourages some scummy behavior, like the seasons where you can steal your partners share of the final winnings, which I am pretty sure ruined or at least had a huge negative impact when Bananas stole Sara's money several seasons ago. I think its like they play moral police in some areas, in other areas the show gets real degenerate.

However as far as popcorn entertainment goes, bring it on!

FF6 brave new world(if it matters) on snes9x

I prefer to just use save points rather than states to keep that part original though once in a while i use a save state.

Last night i was playing on a save(not save state) and bumped my keyboard....probably a hotkey to reload save states. It took me to my last save state which was a while back. But when i exited the program and came back the only saves i have in the games save menu now are from the time of the save state i errantly loaded which was like 5 hours of story and grinding before where i was presently. I was saving routinely in the game so i have more recent saves.

Either i have some glitch or error or i just don't fundamentally understand how snes9x works...

This is merely a science issue. A photographer more experienced then me could have a factual answer. If you know the answer, keep quiet. Trial by fire learning!

Equipment: Nikon d3100, Hoya R27 IR filter.

I have favorable conditions set here with f7.1 with a 400ISO. I figure with how long my exposure is this wont make a difference.

Barring some mechanical issue iself I'm shooting for one hour and 30 minutes. I have a hammer propped on the shutter in bulb mode, so if that doesnt fall, we will see.

When you take a photo with my camera with the Hoya R72 IR filter, you get stuff that look like this in daylight:

https://imgur.com/THBPO3g
https://imgur.com/9dlrtJT

Those two daytime shots had exposures of 10 and 30 seconds. a more regular shutter speed of under a second generally doesnt produce. One night I tried ten minutes and I got nothing.

It sure would help me to understand the general mechanics of infrared light other than, like, remote controls, but after this experiment that will be my next step.

What do ya'll think is going to happen? I think NOTHING will happen, but I have roughly an hour to go, so we'll see.

Tom Wolf, Governor of PA.

Somebody said this to me today at work, and I kinda shrugged it off because I didn't know how to respond. I dont know what this guys deal was, but on my end, working for the 'govna...if you want to call it that in a state owned liquor store is pretty good, for retail

  • month+ vacation
  • got paid during most of it
  • could claim unemployment for the rest which allowed me to pay off my student loans
  • getting hazard pay now
  • literally never been richer

This guy may have legit complaints about the governor. I didn't ask, but it certainly is feasible he has an issue with how governor Blitzer here in PA handles things. But his assertion of needing to feel sorry for me missed the mark by several miles.
