I've been watching Cheers again lately and it made me realize I'm the same way. Sometimes you'll hear a dude laugh weird and loud. Sometimes the audience will miss a quick joke. I like it that way.

This thread is weird. It almost seems like TC doesn't know how banks work.

TC, if you want to have 10,000 cash in hand you need to have that in an account somewhere. If it's a bank like PNC, and I would guess you have a PNC bank account because you have a PNC bank card, then you can go to any branch and withdraw that cash.

You talked about trying to transfer your money to a new bank and withdraw it from there. That will take a few days for the transfer I would think. If you have your money in an actual bank now you would probably have to sign something from them approving the transfer. So if your money is at PNC you're probably going to have to go to a PNC branch anyways, even if it is too far. Maybe they let you do that online, but I don't know. But you haven't said where your money is.

The last thing is why are you taking out 10,000 cash? I'm assuming to buy something. I'd be worried because anyone who insists on cash like that could be a scam. Cash gives you no protections if the seller of whatever you are buying doesn't hold up his end of the deal.

I tried to get into it a month or two ago. I was enjoying pretty much everything except the dungeons. They just don't look good, and even if you could ignore that I had real issues trying to figure out where I should be jumping because you just couldn't tell. It also really needed a map system for the dungeons.

It's the only way I can really go back and play some of the old stuff. I never minded grinding in an RPG when I was younger, but if I play an old RPG nowadays I get a little frustrated because it's such a time sink and I'm an adult now. Fast forward is great for this.

Honestly, it was the only way my first pokemon game (Fire Red) was playable. The battle speed is excruciating.

Trailer Park Boys - I couldn't even make it through the first season on two attempts. One night it just clicked and I got through it all. Great show.

I genuinely enjoy this reboot series. I was surprised that the reviews have been pretty good for all 3 so far. Kinda hyped for this.

The best thing in the world is the root beer at the end of a root beer float where the ice cream melted just a smidge and you can taste it in the soda. Big fan of it. Brand certainly makes a difference. Like A and W is okay, but the Faygo cream soda is trash.

Notice that it effects Target, CVS, and Rite Aid. All of those companies use the exact same manufacturer and manufacturing facility for their "store brands."

I noticed this shit years ago with nicotine patches. Target ones are made by the same company in the same facility as the Nicorette patches but cost less than half as much.

I'm not sure how all the DLC works on PC versus console. Steam has 3 listed but none of them appear to be the zombie automation one that I bought on the Switch.

Good question. I never looked at them before. I just looked some up and some of the negative ones have some solid points. Some of the issues I see reported, like it being a grind to craft certain things, have been fixed by the one DLC i mentioned with the zombie automation.

Crafting can be a little deep. you have to chop wood to turn it into logs, turn those logs into 2 or 3 different things, and each of those things then has a few different other ones that branch off of it. The zombie automation helps this a lot. The game is very simple in some regards but overly complicated in others so it does feel a tad uneven.

Steam reviews are "very positive" though which is nice.

It doesn't have the bright, warm charm that Stardew has which can probably be off-putting to some.

It's been said a few times but it can't be said often enough because people don't realize it, and there was misinformation out there for so long...

I originally bought it on PC in like 2018 or something. I was looking for a Stardew Valley replacement. After a few hours of playing it then I was confused and not feeling it. Some of the systems were a little weird too and it put me off (looking at you red and white skulls.)

I rebought it on the Switch a few weeks ago and started playing again. I'm really enjoying it. I expected Stardew and it kind of is Stardew but it's also much deeper in parts and much simpler in others. There is a TON of stuff to do but this game doesn't punish you for not getting around to things right away which I appreciate. There's no seasons and the days of the week only matter in very minor ways. If you have a quest to deliver X product you don't have to worry about it not being the proper season to grow that product which is super nice.

Don't look for this game to be a farming sim though. While there is farming the main thing you work on is managing your church and graveyard. There is a mine (in GK it's a dungeon) but it isn't important and you don't need to go in to farm certain materials.

The biggest plus for me compared to Stardew is not having to give gifts to people all the time and watch their friendship meters rise. I hated that part of Stardew.

The humor is a little offbeat. Like the donkey who brings you corpses is a communist who gets mad at you for playing into the capitalist system and goes on strike at one point. One of the DLCs has you helping him with a revolution. It's not a political statement or anything so don't worry about that.

I only had the zombie automation DLC on the Switch version but bought the other 2 they have yesterday. For some reason the soul catching DLC isn't on the Switch that I saw. The zombie automation DLC is almost required.

It's expensive and a pain in the ass to deal with inspections and permits. Those also extend how long it takes to build the place. There's more expensive things that need done that people don't think about right away like having to dig a well / hook up to private water. Public sewage or septic tank.

And you better hope that electricity runs to the land you wanna build on or else you have to run that there. Same with internet unless you go with Starlink or something.

It's just a ton of little headaches that people generally don't wanna deal with.

i guess it also depends a lot on if you're building your own place in a housing area already or if you're building out in the boonies somewhere.

I agree that if you are buying the digital version something like this should probably be expected. Not necessarily the disc drive issue, since it doesn't have a disc drive, but something like it.

For a physical disc version though this seems dumb, but also very very very minor. I think most people who have a PS5 probably have internet or can hotspot on their phone for 3 seconds to get the disc drive good to go. Still, there's probably a person or two that doesn't. Again, this is minor but they should just get it paired before they ship it out.

The last time was several years ago and I was reading some 600+ page plus, part 1/3 book on the civil war. Cop saw it in my back seat and asked if I was reading it for school and I said no, it's just for my own enjoyment. He let me go.

I saw another site that says 2024 so I guess it just got pushed a little. I haven't played any of those Friday the 13th / Dead by Daylight type games like this appears to be. I'm excited for when it does come out.
