I am saved right next to the thing I need to click to start Act 3. I may wait until this new patch comes out since I'm using Karlach and I want to see her whole story. About 75 percent of the way to Level 10 on my half-elf Bard.

I think my next character will be a Dwarf Cleric a little more tuned to combat with heavy armor. My other companions would be the ones I didn't use this time which are Wyll, Lae'zel, and Asterion.

Those patches confuse me. When it has the nicotine amount at 10 mg for example, is that 10 mg distributed throughout the whole day or is it 10 mg of nicotine every hour? I bought those minted toothpicks like the previous poster mentioned and it's sort of helping me with the fixation, but I'll try patches too thanks.

I would guess it means 10 throughout the whole day. I did some googling and a cigarette has between 1 and 2 mg. So the 21 mg ones (step 1) should slowly release 21 mg of nicotine throughout the day I would think. It does work out to less than if you smoked a pack but you're getting it constantly as opposed to every hour or two when you go out to smoke.

When I quit I used nicotine patches. Not the Nicoderm ones but the Target generic ones. Fun fact, they are identically the same product, created in the same facility, but the Target ones are half the price. This is not the case for other off brands. Anyways, the biggest hurdle was the cravings. How I got through it was telling myself that I am functionally getting the same amount of nicotine as I did when I was smoking. The cravings were all in my head. Once I realized that "I should go smoke a cigarette" was because of habits and not wanting the drug it was easier for me to stop doing it.

I really enjoyed the first one. I got mostly through the second one and quit, it wasn't as fun. I haven't even attempted the third one.

Sweet. Gonna give it a playthrough on my Retroid Pocket 3+.

Is MAC machine okay?

Probably on PC when I build a new one in January/February. Or if it comes out on GeForce Now before then I'll check it out since I'm already subbed to that service for Baldur's Gate 3.

Yeah I dunno if it's a bug or the way it's supposed to go or what. The way the game describes it the one area of the Gauntlet is where the magic that let's the general live forever is happening. Why would I not want to do that before I go fight him?

Something got messed up on my playthrough I think or I did things in a weird order. Spoilers for the quests/story of ACT 2.

2 nights ago - I had not been to Moonrise Tower yet. I went through and did the Gauntlet of Shar. Including killing a few bosses in there. I got to the bottom and had a text box pop up warning me saying quests may move ahead.... well that isn't an issue I thought, I have everything done in this act except go to the Moonrise Tower and do all of the stuff there. I free Nightsong. My one party member is obviously upset by shit that goes down. I also think I missed a scene here because she mentions something happening with Shar that I didn't actually see.

Yesterday I get to the front of Moonrise tower. There had clearly been a battle out front of it, tons of things dead. Talk to Jaehira and she is all like, we will help you take down the first floor! I sneak around the side and by the time I get into the building the battle has already started. Manage to pull out a W but like EVERYONE is dead, except my party and a generic crossbowman from the other good guys. Jaehira is no more. Then I go into the basement and there's 3 dudes who keep summoning skeletons, a path to another area, and that's it.

I looked it up and apparently there was supposed to be NPCs and stuff to talk to in the prison? The tieflings I was supposed to save are nowhere to be seen.

Anyways, I started the main battle and am at a part where the fight switches locations so I need to go do that. I hit level 9 at the switch.

You think a cop just showed up with a suit that fit a dude perfectly MOMENTS before he went in and interviewed. Then the cop went over the dudes resume which is printed in a nice neat clean folder. A cop with no badge, and I may be wrong, but no gun. Also, I can't make it out but the patch on the side of his arm doesn't seem to list a city, it just says POLICE.

It isn't jaded to take a moment and look at everything with a critical eye.

CVS doesn't stop selling them, doesn't move= they are fine.

Anyways, pretty much the only time I'll stop at a pharmacy is to pick up a monthly Rx refill. Anything else I can get cheaper at Target.

I did but it was a link to a PS2 emulator APK and I'm not sure if that's allowed or not.

That's the best sleep. When you're under the blanket but can feel the cold trying to work it's way in, it's great. I will say though that obviously it isn't the best use of an AC or the money you'll spend on cooling.

The dragon one took me a bunch of tries and I had to stop playing for a bit and come back to it. I have been stuck on King Dice for a loooong time but I haven't sat down and gave it a full effort.

I posted some notes I had from about 3/4 of the way through on a general topic but I'll rehash them here. And note, I will not be voting for any of these people. While I'm more moderate, the Republicans lost any chance of me voting for them with the stolen election bullshit. They were starting to lose me before that but that was the nail in the coffin. Plus the whole party has moved more to the right.

Anyways, thoughts I had while watching it:

• Nikki Haley is probably the most moderate of the bunch. When she said her whole speech that was something like "why are we not complaining about debt when the REPUBLICAN president skyrocketed it." And something about how republicans earmarked way more than democrats. It was good to see her call out the blind loyalty. Even her position on abortion (while I see it as wrong) is aware of the fact that while she doesn't like them, people need them and want them. She says she wouldn't punish people for getting them.
• Ramaswamy is a joke and it seemed like his only role was to be the "Wild Card." Much like Charlie Day in Always Sunny in the Gas Crisis episode. Who thought it would be a good idea to do a show of hands on who would pardon Trump? Everyone up there treated him like a joke and they should have.
• DeSantis didn't look good at all. He's done.
• Christie and Pence going after Trump was great.
• Christie and (I think) Pence defending the money going to Ukraine was great. Christies listing of atrocities was needed for that crowd.

The crowd half booing and half cheering for things is about par for the course. Republicans are not a cohesive unit. They are totally divided right now. I feel like there were some people who were surprised at the things Republicans were booing but you just have not been paying attention. They are still pissed, they still think the election was stolen, and there's a lot of them.

I stopped in the late 20s or low 30s. I couldn't do anymore. It was good entertainment while I am at work half focusing on other things.

So what are the differences? All I see is people posting articles that some people hug differently. What differences did you find TC?

There's a few QoL changes I would like to see made too. I know I have more that pop up as I'm playing but these are the ones I can think of right now.

-Make the box that pops up (inventory box) easier to drag around. The space to click and drag it seems limited.
-Make the box that pops up remember the last location I left it. Don't keep popping it up in the same spot.
-Let me right click to close the loot window of something I'm looting like a chest or vase.
-Default shops to buy/sell instead of barter.
-Let me rename bags. Like I have a bag with all magical and above items I'm not currently using and one for spell scrolls. Let me name them as such.

I think most of them might but there's some that wouldn't. Like during the debate last night Chris Christie HEAVILY defended it. He even went on for a little bit about the atrocities that Putin has done in Ukraine.

Went to the creche finally. Did NOT take Laz'zel which has been kind of interesting. Had a a lot of perception/deception checks throughout it so far. Then I came upon what I can assume is the leader of that place. He knew I had the device. He could tell. I killed him. I was hoping to get through there without bloodshed.

Then some large and tall chick showed up that was trying to tell me to do shit. I was like LOL no. Then I had an immediate game over. Apparently she is a god.

This next part has me slightly confused but she wants me to go inside some object and kill someone in it or something. I must have missed what the item was and why I need to do this... is it the object Shadowheart carries? I know the Guardian person REALLY does not want me to do this.

GeForce Now if you have a decent internet connection. My PC needs updated so for now I'm playing using GeForce Now. Don't do the free plan, there's queues.

My main guy is a bard and he does all the lockpicking and speech checks. Just sleight of hand he has bonuses between like 7-10. It's nuts. He's okay in combat but I use him more for buffing and crowd control. Cloud of Daggers is awesome.

Also - I found this random ring, the Coruscation Ring. I threw it on Gale. This thing ROCKS for Act 2 so far.

So as of now Shadowheart is my main chick of choice. I had to turn down Karlach yesterday and I felt horrible about it. All she wants is to feel someone touch her and she was so excited to knock some boots with me.

Also I had to turn down Wyll after he tried to entice me with some weird dance or some shit.

I met Karlach this morning. She'll be a nice counterbalance so I won't have to worry about Shadowheart and Lae'zel sniping at each other. Plus, she is fun as all hell.

I haven't really used Lae'zel just because she's so abrasive that I don't want her in my party the first playthrough. Karlach as a berserker barbarian has been AMAZING for me. Throw haste on her and she just blasts stuff. I'm running her unarmored with a big 2H axe.

As someone who is into the whole handheld emulator scene, and that includes GamePass and whatever the PS streaming thing is....

This is cheaper than I thought and I don't feel it's a terrible price. The screen size is nice and the controls looks good. You can still pay about this price and get a handheld that will play up to Gamecube but for what this is i'm not totally turned off by it like I thought I would be. I will still not be buying one though.

Edit: I just read some more of the details. It ONLY streams games you have installed on your PS5? Nah, this is a hard pass and why would someone buy this?

I still haven't played it and I bought it day 1 on the PS5. Maybe it's about time. Although I'm doing a new PC in January so maybe I'll wait and buy it on PC when it's on sale.

Less Unusual: My grandma lived in a house for a loooong time. Us kids would rotate out and visit her in the summers. So we spent a lot of time in this house. I always felt this overpowering feeling on the second floor. Like SOMETHING is there with you. It never went away. When we were all teenagers and moving her out of the house my brothers talked about this feeling upstairs and it was the same one I had. Never saw anything weird.

More Unusual: A different house was possibly haunted if that's a real thing. I saw something weird one night personally. Imagine a spark being thrown off something... now imagine them roughly a foot big. I saw a dozen of those sparks, maybe more, appear and start whirling around in the middle of a hallway and form into the shape of a person. I threw the blanket over my head and tried to go back to sleep.

My brother heard and saw an old style latch door handle jiggling up and down, stop, and then start jiggling up and down again. It was an exterior door and no one was outside trying to get in. Another brother said he saw some people sitting at our dining room table. The stereo in my dad's office would turn on and off and raise the volume to max levels. After turning it off it would do it again.

That was an unexpected fight at the Last Light Inn. (Act 2 area)

I don't know how I pulled it off but I did and Karlach was the MVP as usual. When she frenzies AND gets haste cast on her she does a lot of damage. I think I had four attacks and a bonus attack each turn and finished him in 2 rounds. Shadowheart was mostly healing the crap out of the NPC who mattered.

Also on a later battle I got around to trying Spirit Guardians with Shadowheart. That spell rules. I don't know how I was sleeping on it.

I read a book or two about current Russia in the past few months. Two of their favorite propaganda things are "The US are actual nazis" and "The US is trying to turn everyone gay." It's kinda wild.
