I disagree with this topic, since ultimate team blew up and became the focus of every sports game, they are all turning into pay to win Gacha RPGs. Nothing realistic about playing nba2k22 against a guy whos running a fully maxed out Bol Bol as a point guard or something

ya they're pretty hard imo, but usually you can find some sort of cheesy tactic or do co-op to offset some of the difficulty

• general weak writing, i havent watched season 8 since it aired but i remember a lot of eyeroll moments
• major characters have their personalities shifted pretty dramatically as you can tell the writers are rushing to get stuff done
• Various major plotlines are completely abandoned (big one i remember jon snow being a targaryn going nowhere, nothing happening with melisandre, arya not doing anything with the faceless man training that took like a whole season, etc)
• the entire show there is this buildup to this big war, and a major plotline for the entire show is ppl trying to get the various warring nations to take this big war seriously. in season 8 the big war finally happens. it's resolved in one episode and basically no major characters died
• the last episode is especially weird, i remember reading the leaks for it and i thought it was a joke because the resolution is so odd

personally i started noticing the cracks in the show around like season 6, but 8 took it to a whole new level. i think the finale might be the worst episode of tv ive ever seen

Also so is Skeeter from Doug. Remember when he would honk his nose and say skeet skeet ?

The relationship is assymetrical, she expects me to do half of shit she does (our kid, basically, which I do), but my responsabilities are my own and fuck me for asking. i played it for a while when my daughter was first born & I needed a new time waster, but ended up deleting it off my phone. its kind of a fun game but way too time consuming and lacks a lot of features from other similar games.

for example ranking up your guys is an absolute nightmare since you cant simulate battles (like most other games in this genre) & you only get 45 auto matches a day. so you're stuck either tapping the screen for hours or you shell out some $$$ to get it done. theres a ton of greedy little features like that there

boring beginner shit to learn, in order

• what note each open string is in standard tuning
• the notes on each string, take it one string at a time and you can just learn up to the 5th fret at first. you'll start to notice patterns here between the strings. then you can go up to the 12th fret, at the 12th things repeat so that part is easy
• what a half step and a whole step are, what the difference is
• now its time to learn scales, look up the major scale, learn a form of it
• learn what intervals are, you should be able to tell what is the 3rd in a major scale, a 5th, a 7th, the octave etc
• now look up the minor scale, how is this different than the major scale? like what notes are different between the C major and C minor scale for example
• learn what a chord is and learn some major/minor chords. now that you know the major/minor scales you will understand why the chords are what they are and start figuring out the ways to play them on the fretboard
• congrats, if you made it this far you have enough understanding of the guitar to be able to form power chords and play just about every single pop punk song
• Bonus: look up the CAGED system, sounds more complicated than it is

all this shit can be easily found on youtube for free, i like the lessons from Paul Davids and Steve Stine but a lot of people also swear by Justin Guitar

IMO music is learned socially, or in the case of the modern internet nerd, parasocially, so if you want to really learn beyond the basics you need to throw yourself into music, watch other people play (youtube helps in this case), learn songs, try to deconstruct why the songs work (i.e. why does the artist play chord X after chord Y, why does he add this specific note to this chord etc)

the basics are pretty easy to get down thanks to youtube (and now that you are older) so once you know the notes on the neck, your major + minor scales, pentatonic scales, intervals, CAGED system etc I recommend working on songs right away. look for any popular classic rock song at first, there is bound to be 100 videos on YT of some guy showing you how to play it, which is infinitely better than tabs.

Also, make sure you dont neglect your timing, if you can shred but you cant play on time then you'll sound like shit

i think that the average marvel fan is starting to realize that there is no resolution or end goal with these movies, disney is just going to keep cranking these out forever and ever with an endless revolving door of bad guys.

i think part of the success of the first phase was that you could tell it was all building up to this final confrontation with thanos, and now thanos is gone and there is a sense of what next? are we just going to do this again but this time with someone even more absurdly powerful?

also doesnt help that marvel lost all their cool heroes, and now the movies are about a bunch of z list loser heroes
