I had to rewrite the topic title 3 times. Damn character limit.

SPOILER WARNING FOR SEASON 3 OF THE BOYS

I really liked it. Had a few weak spots like Supersonic's abrupt ending and almost feeling kind of forgotten about or the Frenchie gangster chick part not being as interesting as the rest of the stuff going on, but man I really liked pretty much everything Hughie, Annie, Butcher, MM, Solider Boy and loved anything Homelander.

Great season. Constantly felt like it was shattering the status quo for the show which was surprising and nice.

What's the general consensus on it? What'd you personally think?

I'm cooling very quickly on the show, if next season doesn't really change up the formula I'll probably drop it. The characters aren't changing, the same basic storyline keeps repeating, I'm just not really enjoying it.

Pretty much sums up what I was feeling while watching the last season. I felt like they could have done so much more w/ the Soldier Boy storyline, Black Noir was a complete waste of time, Stan Edgar was sidelined way too easy and when he was gone everything in the show just felt less important and consequential. The whole Frenchie storyline w/ the Russian chick also felt like a total waste of time. Didn't really see anything new out of Butcher or Homelander that we didn't get in the last 2 seasons. Hughie and Starlight were probably the only good thing in the season.

Vaught became a complete farce once Edgar was gone and the PR girl became CEO, it felt so unrealistic in the rules setup in the show that it would still be a functioning company and remain any sort of threat, really took me out of everything and my interest dropped significantly. Unless we see a big change in quality for Season 4 I am probably done.

Yea I gotta disagree with most people here I watched through all the seasons at once and season 3 was alot better than season 2.

Surprised by the negativity.

I also liked 3 more than 2. 1's still the best cause it's so tight and new, but I had a lot of fun watching 3.

I actually liked 3 more than 2. But then again, I have a very low standard for what is considered entertaining.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

Not exactly resolved, but things totally moved forward.

Vought is in shambles and feels like it's ready to close down.

The Seven are basically over with Noir dead, Maeve depowered and gone, Starlight quitting. It's just Homelander, A-Train and the Deep now.

Butcher lost Ryan and now has a ticking clock going against him to fix anything.

Hughie and Annie worked some shit out that didn't really feel like it was there prior to this season, but it was decent. Starlight straight up quitting the Seven and going public against Homelander was pretty huge.

Homelander got his son on his side which was a pretty big deal for him. Plus now he's openly murdering people out in public and his fanbase is actually cool with it, so the chains are sort of off there.

It was definitely a lot of set up for the next season which feels like working towards the endgame, but I don't see a problem with that. I can totally see people not digging how Solider Boy survived and just put back on ice. That totally felt like "Yeah this arc is done, buuuut let's keep him alive just in case we want to bring him back for more stuff later."
