The best thing in late game ME1 was shotguns with explosive rounds and damage mods. You basically turn it into a rocket launcher, with every single shot making your gun overheat but also killing anything stupid enough to be in front of you

Projectiles tend to go through his propeller pretty easily, so characters like Peach can just pelt him. If you can get beside him he has no protection whatsoever and he can't control his trajectory nearly as well as characters like Villager or Duck Hunt, nor can he cancel out of it with an attack like Snake can, and if he tries to land on stage he has around seven years of landing lag so going to the edge is his only option. It's good, but predictable, and some characters can exploit it hard.

Anyway, I like him having a good recovery, it's about time more heavyweights actually got to live long instead of it being a Dedede thing. Smash has always been weird in that heavyweights supposedly get combod easier in exchange for living to higher percentages, but then they get shit recoveries that mean they actually die early, so being a heavyweight tends to just mean "in exchange for being bad at one thing, we'll make you bad at other things too", especially since Smash heavyweights usually are also full of things like poor mobility and slow, laggy attacks. Kind of nice to see heavyweights are finally starting to have some legitimate strengths.

I recently played this for the first time myself, it's a lot of fun. Best advice is to just take advantage of the fact that this game is the answer to every time you've played a game, seen something cool in the distance but been told you can't go there yet. Go places, do random shit, you'll probably stumble across five other things to look into every time.

Didn't that happen? I thought the original ending of ME3 revolved around the dark energy thing in Tali's story in ME2 but they scrapped it when details were leaked.

Either way, you're starting at the conclusion and working backwards to find a spawn point for the shitshow, which is not how things are done.

No, I'm just not absolving everything other than the ending of blame. ME2 didn't build up any sort of explanation for how the Reapers could be beaten, which made it harder for ME3 to come up with anything plausible. ME3 then shit the bed and went with a dumbass deus ex machina that culminated in nonsense. ME3 also had to dedicate a lot of time to resolving the dumbass Cerberus sub plot (or main plot, really, with how the series ended up treating it) that ME2 devoted itself to. The writing in Mass Effect went downhill long before the ending of the third game.

I have no clue how you're putting this at ME2's feet other than some dumb idea that if ME2 had advanced the reaper plot ME3's ending wouldnt have been as bad, which feels like something you're pulling out of your ass.

If ME2 had established a way to actually defeat the Reapers instead of just being a huge sidequest, it would have been a lot easier for ME3 to come up with an ending that would actually be satisfying since it wouldn't be as much of an ass pull. ME2 and 3 both did a ton of things wrong in terms of the main story beyond just the last hour of the final game.

The ending sucked, but it basically had to after how badly the story went astray from the beginning of ME2. It's kind of annoying how much the ending of the trilogy ends up preventing people from noticing that the problems started when the middle game of the trilogy didn't bother to advance the plot at all and then the third game's solution was to have an NPC go "we found a blueprint that we can't understand, we have no idea what it does or how it works but we're pretty sure it will magically save the day", leaving you with absolutely no reason to give a fuck because the game has already directly told you the conclusion is going to be based on an arbitrary deus ex machina plot device doing some random thing rather than based on anything you've actually done.

If they aren't, then they might not be too drunk to drive anyway. The purpose of the limit isn't so much to pin down a specific number that is universally the threshold between sober and drunk (since that's not really possible), it's mainly so that if you're driving like an idiot and the police pull you over, they have something to point to to prove you were too fucked up to be driving.

My dad and I are on good terms and see each other once or twice a week, so the girl is a pretty easy choice

If I wasn't on good terms with my dad, idk, would depend on exactly what the relationship is like. If he was an abusive jackass who is just now deciding to act like a decent person, I'd blow him off because I wouldn't trust him and probably would have never agreed to meet him in the first place. If we'd been mostly on good terms but just rarely saw each other for whatever reason, I'd go meet him since I already agreed to it.

Look, my basic point right now is: there is a definite section of fans that go out of their way to shit on WWE as a company and approach the company with an extremely negative mindset. That this has happened is mostly WWE's fault for being such a shitty company, but it exists nonetheless.

Do you disagree with that? I didn't think that was a particularly controversial idea. The stuff about forcing criticism is just an offshoot of approaching it with a negative mindset.

I disagree with it on the grounds that the only thing suggesting it's true is you saying that people complaining about things you thought were fine is proof that the fans are wrong as opposed to proof that those people didn't like it as much as you did. And it's just plain bizarre to keep harping on it in this topic when this whole discussion stemmed from people here who have explained their reasons for not being very keen on the WWE and yet you just keep on going on about these mysterious other people who are totally part of the problem as if their alleged behavior would somehow reflect on the entirely unrelated people you're talking to.

No, I don't see a meaningful number of people just making up weird things to complain about for no reason. By and large people complain about stuff they legitimately didn't like, then someone else comes along and gets mad that people aren't agreeing with them and act like it's hypocrisy when two different people have different opinions. People are skeptical of the WWE because they've seen the WWE disappoint them time and time again. You can think they're bad but not *that* bad all you want, it doesn't magically make *me* enjoy their shows more and you have yet to explain how it's my fault that a show I'd like to consistently enjoy ends up frequently disappointing me.
