I dunno, even when WWE was doing good business its characters were pretty doofus-y. From Hogan to Mr. McMahon making an ass out of himself for Austin's sake to a large portion of The Rock's run.

That whole "you are the authority" promo it reminds me a ton of those old "we're going to turn this company around" promos when WCW and TNA were on the huge downturn.

I'm hoping this also means that Ronda keeps going against people who are actually good in the ring if they're starting to do that. Nattie was a great person to be opposite her for her first match that wasn't pre-scripted, now they just need to keep her with the more talented people (which they've been doing pretty much already).

I checked it out. It was about as good as you could expect for a Raw match where there was pretty much no realistic chance Nattie would win. Probably her third best match for me behind Charlotte and Nikki.

They headlined the 12/26 house shows in both Chicago and Madison Square Garden with womens title matches. Rousey vs Jax in MSG and Asuka vs Lynch vs Flair in Chicago (not TLC, just normal triple threat)

But both crowds had a lot of people leave before and during the matches.

Well they are both rematches of matches we both saw.

And in the SD women's case like... No one wants to see Asuka beat Becky or Charlotte right now and everyone knows that had to be the result

Plenty of people want Asuka to beat Becky and Charlotte. She's probably got the strong majority of the audience who aren't drinking the Becky Kool Aid super hard. I guess you could argue most of the audience is at this point but I'm sure there is a good amount of the audience that gimmick isn't quite working for. Like ignoring people like me who just like Asuka more, kids and older people in particular I think probably don't dig Becky's gimmick as much.

Asuka is an actual real life example of rooting for someone thats not as great but wins out due to same fanebase factor
