The Switch is a very good indie machine. You've got point and click adventure games like Agatha Knife, you've got lower-key racing games, Kemco RPGs, platformers, rhythm games etc. - in that regard, it's a much more diverse market place than your regular Nintendo fare.

As far as CRPGs or tactical RPGs go, you've got the Banner Saga games and Mercenaries Saga - that's 6 stretegy games right there. There's also a cheapo parody game named Ambition of the Slimes, it's got low production quality but it's a hoot.

Disliking Gamergaters is one thing, there's reason enough to do so, but I'm utterly baffled as to why so many anti-GGers treat Zoe Quinn like some sort of saint.

It's been proven that she's a shitty person even if the "sex for good reviews" thing is untrue, so I don't know why folks keep fiercely going to bat for her.

Personally, I don't think that she did what she was accused of doing, meaning that her doxxing and harrassment were over literally nothing but some incel sob story perpetuated by a jilted ex. The only reason she came to any sort of prominence in the first place, whether she was made a feminist talking head or if she took the position in the face of the backlash for some moral reason or whatever - is because she was treated fucking terribly by neckbeards online.

It's a similar trap to Anita Sarkeesian - she was a fucking nobody before her Tropes vs Women Kickstarter blew up, and she had actually funded and released a full first season of that online series before anyone knew who she was. The reason she became such a prominent face is because some fuck-ass saw her Kickstarter, complained about the women taking over and got enough turds to start harrassing her. That harrassment by these nobodies bolstered her reputation and brought her Kickstarter to prominence, introducing a lot of feminists and social justice types to her content, and the resulting clash over her is history.

Like y'all go out of your way to ensure that your stance on them is clear, with them being shitty people whether their harrassment was warranted or not, but in both instances they would have been perfectly fine content creators with their own small followings and no amount of clout or meteoric prominence in the feminist/social justice sphere - they would be perfectly serviceable people getting by in life, probably fucking over as many people in their day to day life as you or me (which is to say, not a whole lot of people). The only reason we know about either of them, and why they've had any of this power that has resulted in their reputations of being shitty people, is because a bunch of Gamergate fuck-asses blew them up and brought them to the attention of larger, more rabid fanbase who would be more fervent in defending them.

That hot take aside - what did Zoe Quinn do aside from what her jilted ex jizzed onto the internet to initially smear her name? Not asking as a "gotcha" or whatever, I'm genuinely ignorant of why she would be hated beyond that point, and I'm curious as to how her activities during and post-GamerGate make her a bad person.

I'm considering buying Mechanika, I bought Agatha Knife when that came out and I enjoyed it immensely - I never finished it thanks to a glitched puzzle, which never seemed to fix itself in my game file despite patches coming out to directly address it. But I liked it a lot, and I would enjoy getting another glimpse into the world.

I would have to go back and play through Agatha Knife, though. Which isn't completely out of the picture, of course - again, nothing but good things to say about Agatha Knife. It's just a bit of a hassle.

I'm a fan of KoL from way back, was never a hardcore nut about the game but I liked it and I jived fairly well with its tone and style. I remember spending ages grinding for meat in the Spookyraven mansion, fighting dressers for meat wallets and coin purses.
