Yeah, but you are operating under the assumption that I care about the lives of anti-vaxers. They made thier bed, they have to sleep on it. It is not like the government can force the vaccine on them anyways. Perhaps private businesses can put pressure in terms of needing the vaccine for continued employment, but the idea of sending police to a person's door to give a person a shot in the arm is a bit too totalitarian for my liking.

Kinda appropriate, since it's an insult to even call that stuff "syrup" in the first place.

It's 2021, even big-box groceries carry real, quality syrup offerings now. No one under 10 should be eating this swill.
True true. Probably couldn't put a picture of a maple tree or something from nature on the bottle because they would get sued for false advertising, since their syrup is just a bunch of corn syrup with some chemicals added for flavor. I guess a generic factory on the label is really giving you a more realistic depiction of thier operation, although I can't say it warms my heart too much.

DragonClaw01

They are stray cats that got ran over. I remember dissecting these in high school and actually have pretty funny story with these. One of my biology teachers for whatever bizarre reason had a drawer full of dissected cat heads, like a good 10 or so. I thought they were pretty cool and ended up stealing one and put it in my closet at home for safe keeping. However, it stank all the hell with formaldehyde, so my room ended up smelling like total shit, so I decided to get rid of it. So I brought it to school and at gym class when everyone was changing I chucked the cat head at some gang banger wantabee (we were are in the bloody suburbs for crying out loud), which started a chain reaction with everyone lobbing the dead cat head in retaliation at one another. The chaos was so satisfying, as was seeing the gym teachers looking at the dead cat head wondering what could have went wrong in their lives to deserve their fate. Good times.

One of the most interesting things I found in the pandemic is how bad tv ratings were. Everyone thought they were going to be through the roof, but they haven't. Even gamefaqs traffic feels down. I guess everyone wants to get outside when they have thier free time.

The super bowl did better this year though. A bit surprising since I found the matchup a bit dull, but perhaps it opertunity to party I guess. The commercials were a bit sacarine, but I suppose everyone wants to forget 2020 ever happened at this point

I'm kinda curious if Hammurabi's Code actually dictates that, because it would just seem stupid. Under almost no scenario could I see that actually being used as a punishment for insubordination, because it seems impractical.

And I'm curious what that intent was. Were they looking to test critical thinking or just ethical thinking?
I was thinking that myself, but at the same time war was pretty common back then, so they frequently had a surplus of slaves, so offing one was easier than reforming one probably and would keep everyone in line. I think it differs a bit from the antebellum slavery days where slaves weren't procured via conquest, but rather trade, so were treated as commodities, commodities you generally wished to preserved because you paid a decent price for one, so they were much more willing to go to the whip instead of the gallows for minor transgressions with execution only as a last resort.

If you are motivated and have the brains and hustle, college is generally the superior option. You will get jobs with superior career advancement and won't be getting your body beat up as much. Its not that expensive where I live either, about 5 grand a semester at uni and practically free at community. It is pretty common to graduate with 26 k of debt which can paid off in a year or two and if it doesn't work out you can always go into the trades or military and pay off the debt that way. It is relatively low risk, but it is pretty competitive today so you have to be prepared to hustle
