i got a small Star Wars lego set as a gag gift for Christmas. I finally got around to actually putting it together the other day and it was so fun lol

They are durable, hold their hold for a long time, and they have high profile licensing. Plus, they're not an American company outsourcing their labor to developing countries. LEGO's plastic is apparently one the highest quality ones, which is why it was such a big deal when they comitted to moving towards completely environmentally sustainable options.

I think the plan is incremental until 2030. They announced it fairly recently. I fucking loved Bionicles. I still have a massive collection collecting dust somewhere. They were perfect synthesis of all my favorite things at the time: LEGOs, action figures, and a sci-fi/fantasy story told through comics. My introduction to online forums was a Bionicle fansite.

Not sure but I do know the whole process of making Legos is automated meaning there's virtually no human involvement in the process so with that being said, you would think since they have no employees to pay, Legos would be cheaper.

They just recently opened plants to manufacture them in Mexico and China. But I think they have pretty much been made in Denmark, a few other European countries. So that probably keeps costs high.
