TopicSitting down and talking and compromising with your political enemies is

When it comes down to economics both parties are corporatists, so are quite willing compromise if it means helping out their benefactors. Even on some of the side stuff it is mostly Kubuki theater, a lot of wind is exchanged, but ultimately nothing meaningful in terms of actual substance. Like illegal immigration for instance. The Republicans will talk the talk, but when it comes down to it, they like the cheap labor that comes along with it, so don't legislate against it too harshly. Dispite the increased drama, I see more similarities than differences amongst the parties now a days.

That's typical with right wingers. Look at George Zimmerman....
I don't think it is a great comparison. Zimmerman never took very well to the lime light. His schemes of monetization seemed mostly to stave off bankruptcy as the trial completely drained him financially and destroyed his reputation.

Rittenhouse wants to be the next Jordan Peterson and is constantly on tour, but lacks the ability to pull it off

Apple has monopolistic tendencies, but the smart phone market is pretty healthy with many alternatives. It does not have the oppressive monopoly power that you find in other industries.

You still have to be able to utter a one liner every once awhile. Believe it or not there are action actors that can't even do that. Jean-Claude Van Damme can only scream for instance, that is why he has been relegated to the B tier

Correct, in the warmer parts of the country, it is often outside. Although, this change was enacted many years ago. People can't resist the $1.50 hotdog I guess

Guaranteed if she was white she wouldnt have been arrested
It is more the fact that she is blue that did. It looks really bad having a police officer steal. If she wasn't a cop I doubt the police would've even bothered showing up for a pair of shoplifted sneakers

Metal Gear Solid.

I don't get the hype, but then I'm not into stealth games much.
The story and insane graphics for the time. There was no game quite like it. Gameplay was weak, but that is like 15% of the playtime in most of them anyways

Overated to me has be something that is rated too high relative to it's peers. Skyrim comes to mind. Mediocre story, gameplay, quest design you name it, but still tops most RPG lists despite being far inferior to most of them. Never understood it's praise. I feel like it is people that don't play the genre much that rate it highly

It seems that Japanese culture takes this really really seriously, even more than American culture does. Thats just how it is.
But at the same time it is harder to get caught cheating because it is a social taboo to pry into others affairs too much, including your spouse's. In this case, however, someone had an axe to grind so were not so considerate

Nice, as another poster said:

If parents started to take more responsibility for the irresponsibility of their children in regards to firearms it might make some irresponsible parents finally be responsible on the issue.
Hardly. The parent was damn near aiding and abetting the child with his murders. It wasn't a typical negligence case. I don't see this expanding the scope of negligence very much

Glad you found your way to losing weight. Not a lot of people do however. My way? I'm still a sucker for eating garbage, so I compensate with loads of exercise. But nothing grates me more than hearing it's IMPOSSIBLE to lose weight. It isn't, it's pure determination and willpower and if you don't have it and the commitment, nothing will change in your life.
With modern ultra processed food, you are fighting a losing battle from a statistical standpoint. It is designed to be addictive and most people end up being addicted. Tozawa has it right. If you want to lose weight, you have to stay away from the junk for the most part, so your body can calibrate to a natural level of satiety.

Loads, but I really don't care that much, since I don't engage with the sunk cost fallacy. That said, I am more cautious with what games I purchase now a days, after all, I have enough games to play already.
