I just don't find traveling that enjoyable and it is not just those airborne cattle cars they call airplanes that they cram you in for hours at a time. It all the stress of feeling you have to see everything in a short amount of time and often the disappointment that the place you went to is not living up to expectations, which can be pretty easy if you are shelling out a couple grand for something. Paris syndrome is a very real thing and I can't blame people for not traveling and instead putting thier money in more durable goods that will last them more than a week or two.

Everyone has thier own interpretation of the American Dream. To me it was largely about being finicially independent. Owning a home goes a long way to this as after you pay it off you no longer have to pay rent (although you still have to pay taxes and upkeep) and will have an asset that will typically increase with value overtime and can usually be sold with the profits being tax free. I fail to see how being a renter is a superior arrangment.

Having a fulfilling marriage and having kids is pretty much a universal aspiration among nearly every culture.

I would have to say Chinese. The thing about German is that while it may sound harsh, there is some familiarity going for it. They put the Saxon in Anglo-Saxon, afterall and as much as 30 percent of our language is derrived from old German. Plus they have some cool words like blitzkrieg and zietgiest.

Chinese on the other hand is a total mystery. I feel like i have some familarity with thier culture, but they were never the extreme cultural exporters like the Japanese were. I feel like Japanese concepts like ninja, samurai, bonsai, sushi and karate are known by all, but how much do we know about Chinese culture outside of thier food , zodiac and Kung Fu movies?

i love the guy with the jesus sweater stomping on someone

Yeah, Jesus is a new testament figure. What I saw there had a more distinctive old testament flair. More eye for an eye than turn the cheek.

It seems to be human instinct to go for the face when fighting other people, you almost never see body shots especially with inexperienced fighters. That is why I always find it interesting that most people don't have any natural instinct to defend their face in a fist fight, with this instinct having to be trained into oneself. Just an observation. I doubt that woman would have stood a chance against that guy even if she had good blocking and countering punching ability. That guy looked pretty tough. Although, I am much more of a lover than a fighter.
