This is just a prime example of how bad conservative logic is in general. Inherently it's "This won't happen to me so it's not my problem" and thanks to the class divide that's probably correct in a lot of circumstances. But this time it's different. COVID doesn't care if you're rich or poor. Vaccination is a tool that should be used to defend yourself from getting sick from this but people like this don't like being told what to do. So this is the result.

COVID and HBO Max is a factor for sure but Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey flopped as well. Makes me wonder if Warner Bros will see a bit of a trend there. But if HBO Max gets a lot of viewers it might be okay.

Just because its not enough to satisfy you doesnt mean he doesnt face negative consequences for his actions.

He literally loses a girlfriend for like weeks until he makes a change to his behavior. Yeah, hes still semi-abrasive and still has Sheldon qualities, but he does change throughout the entire series.

Again, TBBT has some legitimate gripes about it. If youre going to shit on it, at least be correct with your gripes and not just what you see the internet say about the show.

I bothered to watch the last episode and the literal plot arc of the final episode is Sheldon coming to terms with his behaviour unintentionally hurting the people who care for him and redeeming himself.

I haven't watched many episodes but Sheldon hurting the feelings of his friends and having to deal with that is constantly a thing in the show.

I get why people dislike TBBT (it's obviously overall a typical sitcom) but yeah a lot of these complaints are more about what they think the show is more than what it actually was.

Most of it has been covered but I'll also add that Abed was a way for the show to go meta which wasn't a thing with Sheldon.

I think the hate for Sheldon on the internet is overblown though. The real answer to the topic was that Big Bang Theory was the most popular sitcom of its time and shows like it aren't popular on internet boards like this. Community in comparison was a cult hit that resonates with our demographic more due to how it's written.

Doom is overall the more iconic series due to its legacy but I don't think Doom Guy is all that iconic of a character. Master Chief is way more consistent.

Eh considering how often this issue comes up and how valuable Nintendo's games are over time I don't think it really adds up.

Lets be real. The only reason Nintendo doesn't do more is because they think re-releasing or remaking games for a premium is more valuable. We just saw them re-release a collection of two NES games for a limited time. It's the same reason why Sony barely bothers.

Fallout 3 comes pretty close too thinking about it.

Metroid Fusion topped the Wii U chart recently for example. That game is finally getting a sequel rather soon and Nintendo could easily add it to Nintendo Online.

GBA, Nintendo 64 and Gamecube would get people very excited. Gamecube has plenty of games that are a pain to play that won't get ported.

Like I'll just say it simply. The reason Nintendo Switch Online doesn't have a ton of the great classic games even to the level of the old Wii Shop is because they don't own them.

The Wii Shop was an absolute godsend for its time because Nintendo capitalized on most of those other companies not caring so much and allowing their games on the old service. Then they noticed there was a market for them.

Now the companies are releasing their own games themselves because they know there's bank to be made. Mega Man collections. Street Fighter collections. Castlevania collections. Hey, Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters even.

Nintendo's good stuff that they can get is already up there.

We're still missing GB, GBC, GBA and N64. I think the Switch could emulate the Gamecube, DS, 3DS and Wii if they really wanted to as well.

There's plenty they could still do even with their first party stuff.

• "A man in a room full of women is happy. A woman in a room full of men is terrified"
• A weirdo Mom holding up a sign that has rules to date her son
• Discussion on women who say they like hanging out with guys because they're less drama and how that's wrong

Doesn't seem like anything too bad. Most of these things are overall toxic things that shouldn't really be tolerated.

But yeah wouldn't surprise me if there's issues somewhere. But it's not as blatant as some other places.

A fundamental difference between the two is that MGTOW have the belief that all women are shitty. FDS seems to be more about not accepting or tolerating shitty men. But I'm basing this solely on what I am seeing right now.

The more I think about it the more amazing it is that the series managed to develop a blockbuster trilogy where the main cast are a bunch of intelligent apes and they're great characters that you feel for. Caesar is just a fantastic protagonist.

When it comes to everything Disney now own I think this is the one I'm the most sad about. I doubt Disney will ever bother doing anything with this franchise. It's such a weird franchise that must be pretty difficult to figure out so I doubt they'll try.

Felt like Rise came out of nowhere as a great film and then the sequels just kept up the quality. Planet of the Apes is a weird franchise that feels like everyone knows about it but not many people talk about it in the same way they do about Terminator or Alien or whatever. Yet Planet of the Apes actually managed to make a bunch of great modern movies unlike those franchises.

The ending of Rise is probably pretty uncomfortable to watch these days.

Boom. Suddenly any time travel fuckery doesn't matter anymore. and very few people will care, because their eyes are on Thanos and not your funky rules. Then you can have all KINDS of fun with the fallout.

I think them wanting to avoid altering the existing timeline makes sense still since Tony doesn't want to risk losing his daughter and it avoids the whole "Why don't they kill Thanos as a baby" discussions but yeah stuff with The Ancient One probably was them overthinking it.

But people still got confused so I dunno. Wouldn't surprise me if it was there because Test Audiences needed a practical explanation.

But I think there is something to people overthinking this more than they used to. Terminator 2 and its ending doesn't really make sense but people just accepted it.
