Demon's Souls looks amazing redone but a game like NFS Hot Pursuit...eh. Is that really worth it? Seems like a cheap money grab.

How much better is Legendary Edition Mass Effect?

Also, would you want to see a Fallout 3/New Vegas remaster? What about F.E.A.R.? What other games would be great to see redone from that era?

If it's a legitimate remaster with a lot of work done to it like Demon's Souls it's fine. But simply bumping up the resolution and frame rate won't cut it considering the Xbox Series X (and PS5 to a small extent) can do that to your own games for free.

If there's no backwards compatibility on offer it's warranted. I won't complain about access to more games. I doubt they take up significant resources.

First we had the "HD remaster" gen, then it was the "Definitive edition" gen and now it looks like we are gonna have a "Directors cut" gen.

I guess I lean into the cheap tactic side of things but then again the people are actually demanding the remasters and I've bought a few of those remasters myself so I am no better myself (in my defense most of the ones I got where on the Switch as I wanted to play the games on the go).
But also I'm a hoarder of games so the whole mentality of "Oh great a remaster! I get to play *insert game* again!" is foreign to me.
