The staff from Main Beach restaurant took off in hot pursuit.
Peck, who goes by the name 2pec, ran onto the beach and into the surf, and efforts to cajole him back to shore were unsuccessful.
Two police jumped on a lifeguard's jet ski and arrested him in the ocean.

Peck was charged with stealing and two counts of serious assault of a police officer, and appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
Magistrate Joan White granted bail, but expressed disbelief at the alleged crime.

Peck was ordered to never return to the restaurant and was told he must reside at his Labrador address while the case is heard.

A seafood platter at the waterfront restaurant, which lost $621 in the alleged crime.

However, he may not care for another feed, describing the lobster mornays as "overcooked".
"There was oyster shell in the oyster [shot] and he said he was going to take off the bill," Peck said outside court..

"They should be apologising to me for the shell ... [and] the overpriced food."

Peck said he had only left the restaurant to help a friend who was he said was giving birth on the beach.
He said he was arrested before finding her.

The restaurant's assistant manager Mark Hunnybun said their suspicions were raised when Peck continued ordering food and drinks after first arriving at 1:00pm on Sunday.
He allegedly did the runner when he learnt how much the bill was.

Staff from the restaurant chased Peck, but he jumped into the ocean.

The seafood restaurant worker refuted claims by Peck that the lobster was overcooked.

The SSD alone is a pretty big difference since the game can essentially load in new assets and content significantly quicker. Most of the improvements aren't as obvious graphically but more for performance.

He's not getting angry because he's confused. He got angry because he heard his mother's name and thought it was some trick by Superman to throw him off guard.

That's what I meant by it being clunky. It's dumb and cheesy. Nothing about the scene feels natural because the scene wants to both set up the name coincidence and have Batman learn empathy. It's an example of wanting the payoff without the proper set up which the movie does again later with Superman's death. Clark saying Batman is letting Martha die doesn't feel right. Batman yelling Martha in confusion doesn't feel right. So the scene becomes unintentionally funny.

I think it would be fine if Batman learned that Martha was his Mom's name when he rescued her. Their Moms don't need to have the same first name to give Batman motivation to hear out Superman and Lois. That's putting the focus in the wrong place. The name coincidence shouldn't be the turning point. It should be the payoff at the end.

It wasn't because "they have da same name." it was because Batman stopped seeing Superman as an alien God creature/threat. But as a fellow human.

He saw that Superman had a mother and loved his mother. He was a person. No different to Batman.

Literally everyone gets that. Batman learns they both have Mothers because they have the same name. It's dumb, clunky and made people laugh. It failed what it went for. Which was being the emotional climax of the movie.

He didn't give him a lead. Look at how it goes down.

Batman : [suffocating Superman with his foot on his throat] You were never a god. You were never even a man!
Superman : [hardly breathing] You're letting them kill Martha...
Batman : What does that mean? Why did you say that name?
Superman : Find him... Save Martha...
Batman : Why did you say that name? Martha? Why did you say that name? WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?
Lois Lane : [enters running] It's his mother's name! It's his mother's name.

He doesn't even give the name Martha Kent as a lead. Batman is confused, doesn't know what he's talking about and gets more angry so Lois can walk in and explain it's his Mom. It's so clunky.

The thing that makes it hilarious is that "I lost my Mom and I'll make sure you won't lose yours" is a pretty straightforward thing to depict. But because they were so focused on the name it's more like "I lost my Martha and I'll make sure you won't lose yours" which is just hilarious. Your parents are typically the most important people in your life who you basically never refer to by their first names.

lol people understood the reasoning fine. People just think it's cheesy and ham-fisted. For one it requires Superman saying "Save Martha" instead of "Save my Mom" like a normal person. Then Lois needs to interrupt the scene to explain it. Everything about it is delivered in the most cheesy and hilarious way.

You can't just judge the scene based on intentions. It's not exactly hard to build up to Batman empathizing with Superman through his own personal tragedy and that resolving the conflict. But the execution was poor. Just like any other attempts at being emotionally stirring from the movie.

When Batman is about to kill Superman, the Man of Steel gasps out, Save Martha. This triggers Batman to remember his own mother, also named Martha. Lois Lane then has to Wiki explain this connection and the foes become bros, teaming up to rescue the symbolic and actual mother.

It has been memed to death for being so awkwardly handled. Yet, Snyder stands by the scene.
I mean, its 100% the lynchpin that holds the entire movie together, Snyder said. I think its indicative of the way that Batman v Superman was received that its central tenet was sort of belittled and made fun of. [] I personally think it is like this beautiful and incredibly symmetrical idea that it completely finishes it as a concept.

Its funny, because we, Chris Terrio and I, we did reach that point in the movie, in our discussions we knew how to get them to fight, right? But how do you get them to stop fighting? Snyder brings up.

Thats a tough one. And we sort of were just throwing down on their humanity and Batman realizes Superman has humanity, hes not just a creature, hes a man hes an alien, but he is as human as, in a lot of ways, hes more human than him, right? Hes sort of embraced all the good parts of the human race, and so Batmans able to sort of see, in a lot of ways, a thing that he is not. And I think that that was how we started to talk about it.

But why did he say that name?!

Even without dramatically changing the battle system or the general story layout (Beat eight gyms and a major tournament with some sort of region-specific plotline along the way), I feel like they could have done a lot better than they did with Sword/Shield.

While I enjoyed the gym challenge as a whole, and the wild areas, and both DLC, Gen 8 felt a lot more lackluster than Gen 7, but at least they were better in a few ways than LG E/P. A lot of that for me had to do with the fact that Leon and Sonia were so insisting on cucking you out of the "regional lore and badguy squashing" portion of the game. Yes, Sonia tells you a lot about the Darkest Days and you do eventually beat Eternatus/calm down the version Legendary....but it feels less like you're actively participating.

And even then, since I did another playthrough recently, I still feel like I know more about the league challenge itself - which is what the game itself wanted you to know about - than any of the regional lore or even why Rose did what he did.

I mean more if a new developer took over. They'd need to start from scratch. Game Freak at least have that foundation they keep building on.

Honestly I think the franchise would benefit significantly if each game got an extra year in development. But that would be a loss of millions of games sales so I guess that's not gonna happen unless it's absolutely necessary. But it's just gonna get harder and harder to get these games out quick. Sword/Shield looked like it was held together with string at times.

A hacked Switch does it fine as far as I know. Gamecube is one of the easier ones to emulate.

The Wii U could natively play Gamecube games and they still didn't have a Virtual Console for it. Even though modders can inject Gamecube games themselves that literally play perfectly. Nintendo are a weird ass company sometimes.

The crazy thing is they would make a fuckton if they had some sort of premium Nintendo Online subscription service that had a huge back catalogue of their stuff from Gamecube to earlier. Would probably outnumber Xbox Game Pass with barely any of the effort lol.

Pokemon is a victim of its own success at this point. Rocking the boat is a risk that there's not really any incentive to do. I'm sure The Pokemon Company wanting more stuff to licence every couple of years is a factor too. There's just too much riding on it.

TC is right. Nintendo is sitting on a gold mine of great IPs and does fuck all with many of them. Sad thing is some of these IPs, like F-Zero, still have interest. I think the Yakuza lead developer said he wouldnt mind working on another entry in the series but its up to Nintendo.

Its really sad that Sakurai gives more love to these characters and franchises than Nintendo themselves. We havent gotten a proper continuation of the Metroid storyline in almost 20 years, correct? The last Kid Icarus game was 8 years ago and before that came, the franchise was basically dead if I recall correctly.

New IPs are great but the old IPs shouldnt be neglected, either. The it didnt sell in the last isnt a valid excuse. Everything sells on the Switch so now is the perfect time to revive IPs. If Fire Emblem can become one of Nintendos bigger franchises, Im sure several of the dead IPs could as well. Many of those IPs were sent to die anyways. Nintendo was incompetent when it came to marketing for a long time. There are people who still think the Wii U is an add on to the Wii because Nintendo failed to convey what the system was supposed to be to the casual audience.

There's a difference between vocal people on the internet and actual demand. Look at Mirror's Edge.

The reality is F-Zero is dead because futuristic racers haven't been selling well for over a decade now. Linear arcade racers in general are a genre that is struggling. Just a few mainstays are left. Wipeout was much bigger for Playstation than F-Zero ever was for Nintendo and that is also dead.

Fire Emblem already proved itself on the 3DS and got a bigger focus in the future because of it. Before that Awakening was likely going to be the last Fire Emblem game in a while.

It's not so much that any game on the Switch sells gangbusters as much as Nintendo specifically choosing to make games that will sell well on the Switch. It's not like we've seen franchises go from niche to mainstream. Games went from successful to even more successful. I'm sure Nintendo have a lot of data that actually show what games people are interested in so they get the priority. They're not just blindly pumping out games that sell several million copies.

Sakurai can give these characters and games attention because he's not worrying about how they'd sell. It's the perfect place to celebrate them. It's not realistic to expect Nintendo to constantly make sequels to games that maybe once had a game that sold over a million copies over a decade ago. No company does this.

Dude it's so fucking bizarre lol. When I got Chibi Robo as a kid, I had no idea what to expect, and got one of the freshest experiences on the gamecube alongside Pikmin. The core gameplay of the original not being revisited a single time is borderline criminal

The developer that made it is basically a support studio these days.

The game also sold miserably and still got a bunch of follow ups, a re-release, spin-offs and even an amiibo. How many games from 2005 that sold like dogshit (many of which are good) are even talked about at all today?

It got a solid remake on 3DS a few years ago. Metroid Prime 4 was being worked on, the developer got fired and it went to Retro two years ago. Game had development issues. It happens. Halo hasn't had a new mainline game for 5 years and that's Xbox's biggest franchise.

But it's also not really all that popular of a franchise as much as some people on the internet seems to think it is. It's B-Level for Nintendo at best. The franchise as a whole has sold a notch above Jak and Daxter and that franchise is completely dead.

Skyward Sword is basically the only Zelda that you can't play on the Switch, WiiU, or 3DS, so I can totally see why they're porting this one.

I've never played Skyward Sword, so I can't actually say anything since its any good.

You can play it on Wii U through backwards compatibility. But it's the only one that hasn't got the 'remaster' treatment I suppose.

Not including consoles that died after a year or two like the Dreamcast. Of course when you look at a total library sense things only go up so I'm just referring to new releases for each year.

Usually it takes a year or two for a console to gain momentum but Switch had a great first couple of years and things slowed down afterwards. Usually for consoles it's the opposite. Not as bad as the dramatic doomsday people are saying and I still have a ridiculous backlog on the thing to get through but still. 2017 especially was pretty damn special and things have slightly gone downhill each subsequent year. Is that fair to say?

Nintendo IP's are literally some of the most valuable IP's you can find.

If THQ Nordic could sell a remastered version of Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom for $60 and sell 8 million copies they would.

I can see Windwaker and Twilight Princess HD being ported to Switch eventually. But Nintendo are weird. They'll probably want those games to have some sort of bonus to try and get Wii U owners to double dip as well. So they've went with Skyward Sword for now.

Of course it's also possible that they're just saving the other two for later in the year.

Smash is in a weird place where if it isn't some shocking new third party character people get angry and disappointed. But inherently Smash Bros is a game based around a Japanese game company. It's gonna have a lot of anime sword fighters because of that. There's not really a quota of 'swords' that they're thinking about and they don't even have a Western developer making new characters for them to use.

Besides in the DLC alone we've had Piranha Plant, Banjo, Terry, Min-Min and Steve who do not use swords.
