Only the second and third gifs look silly.

That scene with Mace Windu running with the Clone Troopers looks awful. Like an FMV video game.

The last gif just look like a bunch of people waiving swords at nothing. Which is what most of that giant Geonosis battle scene is because that's how it was literally filmed.

I just watched it again for the first time in years last week and good lord the entire movie aged terribly

The CGI looks awful
The acting and dialogue is awful
Even the part at the end with all the Jedi, my favorite part as a kid, looks fucking awful. When they start cutting to random Jedi activating their lightsabers in these cheesy ass power ranger poses, then Yoda saying "around the survivors a perimeter create" which is probably the worst Yoda line ever, then that scene with Mace Windu in the gunship and the random clone trooper comes from off screen to shoot at something and the camera stays on him for like 7 seconds and it looks painfully obvious that he was CG'd into the scene

Only good thing about that trainwreck was all the Obi-Wan and Jango Fett stuff

and the others Ive surely missed. You guys and your family/friends holding up well?

Where I'm at is pretty fine. I've actually been on leave from work since my wife and I had our new baby girl in November and I just went back to work today.

What sucks is that the days are often very smokey so I wasn't able to take her out very often. We've had the odd day of clear air but for the most part the poor girl doesn't get to experience fresh air very often.

We've had a friend had to rush away from holidays and had to evacuate her house as well. Our baby's nurse at the local clinic also had to evacuate her home. It's impacting a lot of people.

Thanks for checking up on me! I've got it good compared to a lot of the state right now but I do worry about the future and how sustainable all of this is.

Yeah it's great. A fun single player adventure with a unique setting. It's one of those action-adventure games that introduces a new mechanic in each level too. I liked the story and characters too.

It could easily pass itself off as a game from Naughty Dog.

The exclusive deals are shit and I hope they stop for AAA games (I don't care if indie developers get the safety net) but the free games and Christmas sale are both pretty good. Hopefully we see more of the latter.

It kind of does. Because Rogue One he's just mowing down regular dudes. In this game, youre a Jedi (Padawan?) that develops pretty handily and pretty much beat a high ranking member of the empire before you run into Vader. Then he just fucks everyone up.

The other cool thing is that Vader is never shown, mentioned or even teased before his appearance.

To use PS4 controllers on Non-Steam games you can also download DS4Windows. They released 2.0 a few days ago.

Honestly it's probably most cost efficient to go for Logitech.

You can connect Xbox One controllers directly to PC with a micro USB cable. So wired controllers aren't really needed.

Although card games might be interesting with that Magic: the Gathering Netflix series coming soon.

I also wouln't mind seeing a Final Fantasy series as long as they don't fuck it up like the movies.

Showtime are currently developing a Halo TV series actually. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

I would rather the games. Making a 'canon' lead character ruins a lot of the appeal of the Revan. Similar to Shepard in Mass Effect.

I'm thinking a KOTOR trilogy; Taris, Dantooine, and maybe Kashyyk (to introduce Jolee as a mentor character) in the first movie, Manaan, Tatooine, and "the big reveal" in the second, then Korriban, Rakata Prime, and The Star Forge in the third movie.

There's no real build up to a major climax in your first movie though. The closest thing is getting off Taris.

KOTOR is a very Biowarey plot. Not sure if splitting up the movies would work that well since each planet is its own sort of story.

Jolee and Kreia in the KOTOR games gameplay wise are 'neutral' force users but really those characters clearly would have a force alignment they'd draw from and it's more of a gameplay reasoning for them to use both sets of powers. Disliking both the Jedi and Sith doesn't magically make someone neutral with their morality.

I'm sure KOTOR would have some sort of reboot in the EU but I'm a bit concerned that the focus on having a solid continuity means it won't be remade as an WRPG which misses the point. It was always kinda dumb when Lucasarts gave them a 'canon' playthrough.

There was a pregnant pause in the room after that. People waiting for George to say just kidding, but it never comes, and he just moved on to another point.

I thought the consensus was that KOTOR 2 sucked. Only in the last couple of years (since the Disney trilogy started probably) has it reversed where people liked it

Edit: Also the cutting room floor mod getting finished helped its reception

People didn't like the ending but it didn't have an overall bad consensus that I remember.

But yeah it has gained popularity. I think that's more due to Obsidian than Disney.

Most reactions I'm seeing seem to be positive

The consensus seems to be it's not the best movie of the saga but is certainly the best of the trilogy and hits a lot of good story/emotional beats and does a fair job ending everything

Regular criticism I've heard was that it feels "stuffed" and that the plot is "video game-y"

Sounds like an Abrams movie.
