It's weird how long they let hate communities fester before actually doing anything. There are a ton of active hate communities right now and you never know when, if ever, they will take action.

A fundamental difference between the two is that MGTOW have the belief that all women are shitty. FDS seems to be more about not accepting or tolerating shitty men.

While that's true, I can't imagine that a subreddit that praises "High Value Women" but calls the rest "holes" (FDS calls low value men "scrotes") would be seen in a great light either. >_>

Its kind of similar in terms of the overall "Incel" mindset, because both basically think they should be entitled to their dream mate who will do everything for them and they don't need to put any effort into providing their 1/2 of a relationship. Though FDS seems capable of keeping themselves under control a little better. Whereas it takes very little for a sub like MGTOW to get completely carried away with the actual vile ****.

(this is why why things like FDS and MGTOW seem like they'd be a perfect fit for each other, but hate each other anyways - they basically both act like they want the same one, but neither are interested in anything less than the relationship being 100/0 in terms of who contributes)

But MGTOW was quarantined like 2 years ago, I wonder what happened to finally get them to delete it? TD only finally got deleted because the idiots there just went to a different website (one that they had to make themselves, turns out they're too big of a snowflake to hang out with regular alt-right nutcases)

I can only take your word for it but on the front page right now there's;

• A wife who has a chore chart for her husband who is rewarded with sex acts for doing them
• The white guy who likes to play Devil's Advocate to argue over minorities and women
• A book chapter highlighting that abusive men do not lose control and purposefully aim their anger
• "A man in a room full of women is happy. A woman in a room full of men is terrified"
• A weirdo Mom holding up a sign that has rules to date her son
• Discussion on women who say they like hanging out with guys because they're less drama and how that's wrong

Doesn't seem like anything too bad. Most of these things are overall toxic things that shouldn't really be tolerated.

But yeah wouldn't surprise me if there's issues somewhere. But it's not as blatant as some other places.

I think its overcompensating for awkward banning fatpeoplehate went. It made actual news, and completely hijacked reddit for like 2 weeks with people butthurt over how they weren't allowed to be horrible to fat people anymore.

So nothing seems to get fully banned unless it starts bringing reddit bad press.

Though stretching it out as long as possible was pretty useful in deflating the The_Donald popularity, to the extent that they were able to delete it because people just weren't visiting it anymore.

I remember when I first heard about the MGTOW thing I thought "Hey that's good! A bunch of dudes just doing their own thing and trying to work on themselves, that's awesome!"
Then I found out that it's just an incel thing :V

Its definitely a little more subtle than other places. But the important things are usually in the comments and not the front page stuff. Because that's how they rope you in, with seemingly reasonable front page stuff, and slowly lead you into the more toxic behaviour you see in the comments.

If you ever think a subreddit or website or whatever is supposed to be toxic but you just don't see it, check the comments. Because the main base isn't interested in playing along until they get in trouble.

The topic with the chore chart's top comments are all calling the man trash for this even existing, as if it was something other than an obvious joke, and how this means this woman's husband obviously doesn't respect her.

The topic about the weird rules for dating my son is saying that instead of a dumb joke to be posted on her Facebook for her other middle aged friends to laugh at, this is "emotional incest" because obviously her son is worthless and the mom was too dense to find a worthwhile man to settle down with.

It's also full of TERFs.

Pretty sure they banned that one female subreddit that absolutely hated mtf trans

It's was great while it lasted but it only takes a few bad apples to misconcept something. But for male ones particularly it usually spells their inevitable death.

Whenever I see banned subs like this I always worry they'll close down foreveralone, and I hope that doesn't happen because I root for those guys. They're the only community I've seen like this that don't fall into incel trappings, and they're just depressed and realize their failures are their fault and they vent about it. Closing it down would be like closing down a depression forum or something.

I haven't visited the community in a while. But when I followed them (last month) some of the threads/posts just go full ballistic against men lmao. I wouldn't be shocked if they are next.

The only way I see FDS going down is if they lean on banning them based on the TERF ideology that infects that subbreddit. Otherwise it is just a subreddit that is a "safe space" for "women to express themselves" even though similar subreddits for men are under much more scrutiny.

I don't think they all blame themselves for things, but they don't blame or generalize other groups of people either, which is the key difference between them and the "gender war" esque subreddits. They should be safe from a banning.

Reddit has been in purge mode recently, likely to appease advertisers. Maybe payment processors.
Porn subreddits are next, probably. That will pretty much confirm that it's financially motivated.

If you look into the founders of popular websites like Reddit, 4chan, TVTropes, they all for one reason or another fell into the thinking that Free Speech is the most important part of a forum, and that moderating anything short of CP is a form of censorship.

Time and time again this thinking leads to the bad element being welcomed in, at which point it immediately begins to grow. Nazis and other dregs are always looking for new places to convene and strengthen their ranks. This has been documented, as have been the results of deplatforming these people.

It's actually fairly easy to drive them back out, if the admins are on board. Banning one group leads to splinter groups which can subsequently be banned and so on until it's just not worth the effort for these people. But doing that means cutting out part of the userbase and with it the profits, so...

Once it goes beyond removing outright (or implied) threats of violence and similar, it's gone too far IMO. Having these twits completely underground is more dangerous than having them visible in the open.

They will not ban this as it is pro women, and they will scream sexism if anyone does purge it. This is far worse then MGTOW which is suppose to be about independence from relying on the government and self improvement NOT hating women.
