There wasn't a lot of nobility to his character and I don't remember any humor aside from the Joker's pencil trick and Bruce's comment about the ability to turn his head while in the Batman costume making it easier to back out of the driveway.

Were you sleeping during the movies? Every single movie is focused on some sort of moral lesson for Bruce. He is absolutely a righteous and moral hero. How did you miss Batman being a symbol for Gotham in Begins? His morality clashes with Ra's Al Ghul? How did you miss all of the stuff about hope in TDK and his refusal to kill The Joker who is constantly trying to push his morals? How did you miss in TDKR that Bruce needed to find a will to live and not fighting because he wants to die?

How did you miss the constant jokes between Bruce, Alfred and Lucius? They banter constantly.

JL is a good movie though. When the movie came out, it received mostly positive reception from audiences. You can tell Snyder gave his best to give the opposite of what BvS was.

Pretty sure that's mainly due to Joss Whedon.

It's more that because it wasn't they've put themselves into a more awkward position.

The Incredible Hulk is the least successful MCU movie. They ended up ditching Ed Norton due to issues with the guy. But it didn't matter all too much in the long run and no one really cared when he was recast. He hadn't even been a part of the Avengers yet. But if all of that drama happened during The Avengers instead they would be in a much more awkward position. That movie is basically never even really acknowledged anymore.

Going to be a lot harder for DC to do that with Superman and Batman and the formation of the Justice League. Especially since it seems like all of the actors involved with those characters appear to be done.

It's funny because as dark as Batman was in the Nolan trilogy he was still overall a very heroic character and there was still quite a bit of humor.

Yet they gave the keys to a guy who outright doesn't seem to like heroic superheroes and thought he was the right man to launch a movie franchise. If they simply gave him one more solo movie after Man of Steel they'd probably figure out it was the wrong call.

Wasn't their original plan to launch the DCEU off Green Lantern? When that flopped they tried again.

Unfortunately they decided not to learn from the mixed reception of Man of Steel and decided that was good enough. If only this happened for Wonder Woman or Aquaman instead.

I think the biggest issue with their decision to rush into the team up movie was that they rushed into the crossover before figuring out what worked.

It's much easier to deal with a dud solo movie than a dud crossover movie that establishes the universe.

Thats literally Black Mantas character from the comics. Hes evil and petty for the sake of it. No tragic backstory. Dude is just an asshole. When Aquaman died in the comics, Manta stopped being a bad guy and had a normal life. He went back to being a villain once Aquaman returned. Its honestly refreshing. Not every villain needs complex motives.

It's weird because they spend a chunk of the movie giving him a 'tragic' style backstory. We see him bonding with his father. We see the knife being passed down. We see his father dying and the guy begging for help. We see him grieving his father. We see him not caring about the money when he's hired to kill Aquaman.

He is given the plot of a tragic villain despite not even really being a major antagonist and not being a sympathetic character anyway. It's weird. He's a pretty terrible villain in every single aspect and they're gonna have a tough time salvaging that in the sequel.

Yeah everything about it is weird. He already wanted to kill Aquaman. If he got the suit before his fathers death literally nothing would change. There's not even a guarantee that he would let it go if his father was saved.

Likewise if Arthur went out of his way to kill both of them he'd definitely have no Black Manta villain to worry about. So it's not really a lesson about mercy either.

I get why he did it but he felt like he stepped into the wrong movie or something. He has no real contribution to the main plot despite having the entire opening sequence dedicated to him and Arthur writes off the impact to his character development in a single sentence lol. It was an odd choice.

To be fair those ships aren't in space and Atanteans can breathe underwater right? So when he's using that giant ass Cthulu thing to destroy ships a lot could potentially survive that. He's removing the possibility of them killing crab people and isn't going out of his way to kill them as far as I remember.

I did like how he tried to protect people in Sicily.

Peter Parker in Spider-man 4 is one of the best adaptations of the character. Hell I'd say he's one of the best game characters around.

He's so damn likeable. In a medium filled with gritty characters he's a breath of fresh air.

Wow so I'm in the clear minority here. I found the campaign enjoyable, it had a few fun parkour segments and it was reminiscent of a Gundam game at times, but it had hands down some of the worst writing I've ever experienced in any media. And the whole thing is pretty linear... I think the only reason people like the time traveling level so much is because it stands out from the rest of the game, but it's not even really anything that outstanding :\

It's not that you're wrong. It's just not really why people think the campaign is good. The story is just an excuse to run around with your robot buddy and do fun shit.

Also I'd say each level has a neat little hook to make it unique. It was short though. I think an extra level would have been perfect.

I liked it because it reminds me of the stuff I liked from KOTOR 2. I like the grey interpretation of the Force much more than the good guys vs bad guys stuff. It was good seeing The Last Jedi bring back that weird mysterious side of it which hasn't really been a thing since The Empire Strikes Back in the movies.

I'm not a super hardcore Star Wars fans though. I like KOTOR 1 and 2 more than any of the movies. I think there's issues with every movie outside of Empire and I consider the series fun popcorn flicks that's fun to have nerdy conversations about.

I wonder if I would've liked RDR2 better if you could swap between some of the gang members. I think that would have fixed a lot of the pacing issues I had with the main plot. But then it would have been a different game I guess.

Sandler's movies get more criticism because they're usually lazy cash-ins. He doesn't even deny it. Most of his movies are just excuses to work with his friends. Grown Ups being a prime example. I don't think anyone dislikes him as a person.

Meanwhile Carrey has gone off the deep end in his personal life. Primarily for dating McCarthy and defending her anti-vax shit. He doesn't do that many movies anymore but I think people still respect his career overall.

Sometimes his videos are extremely one-sided or take things out of context though. I remember there being a lot of bullshit in his "Video game developers lie" video.

Sometimes he is harsher on certain companies than others as well. Such as criticizing the lead developer of Sea of Thieves for saying there's no lootboxes while praising the lead developer of Monster Hunter World for saying there's no lootboxes.
