As long as Fortnite continues to make dump trucks of money EGS is gonna be around and still doing their thing. REEEEEEing out over them on the internet isn't gonna accomplish anything.

I'm just waiting for the day that, since EGS favors Dev cuts and all and brought that in to the spotlight, that devs go to their own individual launchers and stores for exclusivity so we can have ten million logins to play our games.

I've gotten Metro 2033 Redux and Alan Wake's American Nightmare as free games on there. Those are pretty big. Then again if you're someone who automatically shrugs off anything "indie" then there's no getting through to you anyways.

The Batman Arkham games and Lego Batman 3 are indie games now.

It's this attitude that lets shady shit like what Epic is doing continue to get worse. No one has a backbone anymore to take a stand and stick with it. Companies like Epic and other game publishers count on people losing interest and not staying with a proposed belief and every time you all give it to them on a silver platter so their next fleecing or circlejerk deal they make with each other (which always fucks over the consumer of course) is even worse. No amount of "free" games or deals can mask the fact that they are working you hard.

The exclusive deals are shit and I hope they stop for AAA games (I don't care if indie developers get the safety net) but the free games and Christmas sale are both pretty good. Hopefully we see more of the latter.

Their platform is subpar but that's because it's still fairly new. Steam's platform was total garbage for the longest time before it became what it is.

I don't know why people keep using this argument. Steam came out 16 years ago. Epic had more than enough time to rip off the features Valve put in Steam
