I tried to upload the pics directly to GameFAQs, but the size limit was too large. So I made an Imgur album!

The hardest part for me on my first build was putting the CPU cooler fan on. Took me over an hour. Just take your time. Thats the best advice I can give

The standouts are little pegs you install between the case and the mobo to keep the mobo from touching the case, and also to keep it solidly in place inside the case. If I recall they should line up with screw holes in the case, as long as it's compatible with the size of your mobo (there should be markings to indicate which screw holes are the ones you need between ATX, miniATX and microATX)

Yeah me too. I was terrified I was going to break something. Turns out you really do need to push it pretty hard. To the point that I don't even feel silly in retrospect for how nervous I was.

My motherboard documentation says it's ATX

Are the standouts included with the case? Cause they weren't with the mobo

Installed the mobo into the case, with standouts and all. Now I need to add the PSU and the SSD and wire everything up

Question:

This seems to be the space for the SSD. Am I correct in thinking that it rests on the base of the case?

I sure hope you installed the I/O shield.
SSD can go anywhere you please, it has no moving parts to worry about. There might be a convenient spot thought, like on the cable side of the case usually.

This. I just installed my second SSD and asked around about his very question. SSD can go anywhere. Mine is laying at the bottom of my case

I did! Easily the worst part of the build though

OK, I'll probably place mine on the bottom too then. It's directly behind an intake fan, which should help keep it cool (do SSDs heat up significantly?)

Alternatively you can be like me and use mounts for the SSD -_- then put them in the HDD slots.

That looks pretty crowded. I guess you got a smaller case to go with your mobo's form factor, huh? Mine ended up with a lot of empty space

Mine has the two compartments to the right taking up unnecessary space, so it's more crowded that it may seem at first
