Get a 3 slot primary spirit of all 4 types and the ore club support spirit. That alone is good enough to cheese 90% of spirit battles, but add Olimar to the mix and it's basically cheat mode. Even on hard. The only thing that has given me trouble are a few of the spirit board legends.

Taking the Ore Club defeats the purpose of using Olimar

You can take Hades and 2 damage trade off spirits if you want to do like, 300% in one hit. Throw power up spirits are great if you use blue pikmin (best throw power)

I personally take a Giant spirit and hyper smash/throw power up unless I need to deal with hazards

Moves that ink the enemy:

- Jab combo
- F-smash
- U-smash
- D-Smash
- F-Throw
- Floor get-up attack (I think? I usually tech the ground so I havent actually seen this move myself)
- N-B (Splattershot - Applies so much shield stun that its hard to do anything against it even if youre blocking. Ive broken someones shield with this move and a follow up befor)
- S-B (Roller - no penalty to grounded state knockback anymore)
- D-B (Splat Bomb - amazing zoning and edgeguard tool)

Its hard to avoid the ink considering half of her attacks apply it, so thats free damage and knockback that she gets. Also there isnt a penalty to knockback on grounded enemies in this game either so the roller is a free kill confirm if you land it at high enough %

Olimar is currently bugged to where he applies the spirit multiplier on his Pikmin attacks twice (its counted as Neutral-B and whatever move hes performing at the same time).

Oh man. I still think that console is garbage.

- Dreadful graphics for the time, obviously even worse now
- Far too many RPGs, and not enough of other games
- Tried too hard to appeal to little kids
- Very few fun games
- Too many "realistic" games, with boring graphics and human characters
- Generally only 1 and 2 player games
- Very long load times
- Console itself looked horrible

I know it's one of the most popular consoles of all time, sold 102 million units, blah blah blah, but I personally hated it then, and hate it now. Amazed people preferred it over something like the N64. Wtf kind of tastes did people have in the second half of the 90s?

The Belmonts have a serious problem with characters that can reflect projectiles, e.g. Mewtwo. If the Mewtwo player is good at reflecting, it stuffs out their best options in neutral. I foresee Mewtwo being a hard counter to Belmonts.

I mean if you can get in on them by dodging the projectiles then youre golden too. Theyre meant to fight at midrange.

Damn. Lol @ the crybabies in this thread. I beat this game with no map on my original NES back when I was 10. Its actually one of the easier Nintendo games.

I 100% cleared Metroid II. I wouldnt say I really enjoyed it as much as I would if it was a modern day Metroid game, because the quality of life improvement the series has gotten since the NES is massive.
