A 500 topic doesn't count when the TC posts in it. A real 500 topic is one that is created and then never posted in again by the TC.

A true 500 topic goes like this

1.) TC posts topic
2.) Topic hits 500 without TC ever posting in it again

I figure the implication was that the initial post would be irrelevant, but I guess some people get confused.
